I expect it's just tintable Dark Blast effects, given that no other MM primary can be 'customized' and Dark Blast can be.
-
My /Theramin Mastermind will make you all get down and jam!
And his cronies will lift your jewelry and wallets.
... goodness do I need coffee. -
...and finally Stalkers get to swing their own mighty Broadsword.
That is such a mental image. 'Surprise! *KCHUNK*'.
Also, variant animations for Martial Arts and Super Strength, like I've been asking for forever. Hooray!
Now where are my chainsaws? -
Apparently 'Buzz' is verboten now, too. The list's grown in the last few weeks.
So much for 'The Buzz Killers', now I have no published arcs. I'm grasping for an explanation for this one, though. "Buzz"? Really? -

Dude, it's Crabform. Sheesh.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am a giant radioactive mutant space crustacean! I am too fabulous to be questioned.
[ QUOTE ]
Well, honestly, I strongly dislike the *look* of Lightform too. I guess it's supposed to be your 'natural' kheldian form, but I like the Human form's animations. I don't know why it can't be just a Humanoid body of Light...
[/ QUOTE ]
See, that's what I expected, too. Then I finally get to 38, I get the power and try it out and .... I'm a little ball of light. I trigger a power and ... do I wobble a little? Am I doing anything?
And I just never like powers that come with a crash. Personal preferences and all that. -

It's hard to choose. But I am undeniably pleased to have snagged 'Mortal Wombat'
[/ QUOTE ]
If we could have politicians as Mastermind pets, I would make Mortal Congress.
[/ QUOTE ]
That sounds .... naughty.
(A version of Gang War that summons Congressional pages, perhaps? And for some reason you take extra damage from PPD, especially in airport terminal restrooms...) -
Maybe after getting a 'concept' character to 41, with however much struggle was involved, they feel they can do whatever they please?
These are established characters. They've been places and done things. They've had ample opportunity to pick up ... unusual mutations, habits, equipment, tendancies, STD's, and so forth. Stories get complicated when you try to live them. How much baggage does Green Lantern have, or Hawkman, after 40-odd years? -

By not taking it.
Seriously, it's one of those powers I just hate, hate, HATE. It's so downright lazy. It replaces my character with a brace of white particle emitters orbiting the point where her navel was a moment ago. Oooooh, that must have taken some GFX designer all of a minute and a half to slap together!
And then there's the crash. So, I just don't bother. Even my humanform PB just carries a breakfree or two and builds for defense. Otherwise, try simply popping into lobsterform. -
Darkest Night, Howling Twilight, Shadowfall, Fearsome Stare and Petrifying Gaze should all be taken as soon as they're available. They're solid powers that have each saved my butt many times over.
You have the luxury of postponing travel powers a few levels, unless you're an AE baby and have never done a newspaper mission. This buys you a little breathing room that can be very useful. I wouldn't put off Stamina, though.
Masterminds should take Leadership, if they have pets. And a defensive strategy will mesh well with /Dark Miasma's -toHit powers. If I were choosing powers it would probably go like this:
1. Call Thugs/Twilight's Grasp
2. Tar Patch
4. Darkest Night
6. Equip Thugs
8. Swift
10. Howling Twilight
12. Call Enforcers
14. Health
16. Shadowfall
18. Gang War
20. Stamina
22. Fearsome Stare
24. Hover
26. Call Bruiser
28. Petrifying Gaze
30. Fly
32. Upgrade Equipment
35. Maneuvers
38. Dark Servant
41. Scorpion Shield
44. Power Boost
47. Tactics
49. Assault -
Light Form. Though, remove the crash and I just might consider taking it.

I drink to the death of Petless pistol masterminds.......
I know people wanted to play concept, and thats cool, but they did suck
[/ QUOTE ]
That reminds me; it's time to return to my Pulse Rifle/Poison petless Mastermind.
(Though so far /Poison seems too much like /Trick Arrow without the sticks. And my goodness do I dislike /Trick Arrow. Maybe I'll try /Traps instead. Or do one of each; why not?) -

Not a whole lot of people name their kid "God". At least I wouldn't think so.
[/ QUOTE ]
Grace Slick is the only example that comes to mind. With a small 'g' "Because we have to be humble".
I wonder what he's doing today. -
Is Ragman evil, for giving the souls of evildoers a last chance at redemption?
Admittedly he doesn't reanimate their bodies, but he does draw on and consume their spirits for strength, and if he exhausts them before some arbitrary period of time has passed they're condemned to their eternal reward.
This may be why he never had his own series... -
If they're saying 'Early Summer', I'm going to say - December. Around Christmas.
-
Simply feeling your pain doesn't mean I don't enjoy it.
-
Shapechanging. Elasticity. Water control. Self-duplication. Ability drain/mimicry. A mastermind set that lets you capture NPC enemies instead of having inherent ones. CHAINSAWS!
-

Honestly, I'd like to see a single pistol blaster; I just see a character holding and properly bracing 1 pistol as a whole lot more dangerous and skilled than someone wildly firing 2 pistols.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have to agree there. Since they're evidently working up a new game engine, perhaps it will include variant animation/effect sets? Call it a customization option; it would be welcome.
[ QUOTE ]
I would treat that set a lot like the Malta Gunslingers; different ammo types that have different effects, and perhaps a silencer to give you a special attack that doesn't generate aggro.
[/ QUOTE ]
An attack or two that crit out of stealth would be interesting, if by this shop's standards possibly hard to implement.
People would start playing /Devices again, if nothing else. -
My latest 'project' character is a psychic/mental 'scrapper'. Not one ranged attack - Mental Blast and Subdual are not on my bar and have never been slotted. But I have three power pool attacks.
Basically I thought /MM would be the least effective blapper set apart from /devices, and so far I seem to have been right. But with some judicious IO slotting I do well enough, and my psychic melee scrapper's on track to be my next 50. -
Gah, now regular missions are [censored]'d as well.
What do you want to bet this goes unlooked at until Monday? -
Protector, right - I didn't think to try another server, but I swear I saw people coming in and out normally.
On edit, the MA is in fact working for me on Virtue. A backup server is a good thing to have! -
Yep, every single time, on two accounts, multiple characters, three computers.
It happened in a regular mission in PI last night, too, as I was heading in the door, but after a reboot I was able to enter. No such luck this time.
Maybe I'll just catch up on my reading instead. -
It's certainly doable. Just arrange matters so that you fire off all your ranged attacks together and/or your melee attacks, in sequence, without hopping around between them. It just takes practice and not too much of that.
And Venom Grenade is a very nice power.
