for an additional buff to Kheldians.
Replace Peacebringer's Build Up with "Photonic Embrace" which would ideally have the same tohit and damage buffs as buildup, but last at least twice as long.
Add a 300% Regen debuff to each of the Photon Seekers.
Add a 500% Regen debuff to Eclipse.
Opinions? Sucks? Awesome? Meh? -
imo, you should have Bone Smasher and Flamethrower instead of Boxing and Tough, and at this level be taking Total Focus.
but, given the choices, I would take Flamethrower. -

not sure if this has been mentioned
with the latest update installed the icons for Leviathan Mastery Hibernate and Mu Mastery Surge of Power (perhaps others, I don't know) are incorrectly displaying as the icon used by the toggle shields from those same sets
I don't think this is new with this update
is it fixable? -
There's a really nice spot, a couple sheltered benches, on a hill on the ski slopes looking out at Pocket D.

Regarding Psi defense, with my playstyle, the main thing I have to worry about is getting mezzed. A little extra Psi defense definitely helps me against Rikti and Carnies in particular and sometimes random other mobs.
While it is true that the extra 3% AoE going from 33 to 36 might actually be numerically more effective than the extra 3% Psi going from 20 to 23, in practice I get mezzed far more often by Psi users than by anyone else. I definitely notice Rikti Mentalists missing me more with their Sleep and Hold after adding the last 3% of Psi defense.
Keep in mind, except for the Steadfast Unique, ALL of the Melee/Smashing/Lethal defense is coming from Steamy Mist, Maneuvers and Hover. I did not spend any set bonuses on M/S/L. -
Just to summarize:
The build I settled on has 45% Ranged Defense, 33% AoE, 19% Melee, 40% Energy/Neg, 28% Fire/Cold, 19% Smash/Lethal, and 23% Psi.
I could lower Psi by 3 to raise AoE by 3, but I probably won't. -

That math seems wrong.
The debuff lasts 10 seconds. FR can be fired in 30 seconds or sometimes less. With the number of ticks in FR it seems likely that it's going to fire on almost every casting. That should be close to 30% uptime.
Now assume that I care far more about the procs performance against an AV than I care about minions. I can Easily imagine my team doing more than 72 damage in 10 seconds against an AV. Furthermore, 72 damage is slightly less than Charged Bolts which I'm throwing pretty frequently and which my Voltaic Sentinel is throwing constantly too. You're telling me that an occasional Extra Charged Bolt is going to outdo my whole team's (including Tornado and Lightning Storm and VS) benefit from an additional 20% resistance (stacked with FR's 35%)? Sounds wrong.
If your uptime number is even close to right though, I should strongly consider having a second proc in Tornado (unless it is bugged as you suggested). -
of course this all raises the question, should I have instead of building for the ranged soft cap, build for very high range, and significant Psi defense...
it's not a very different build, slot a couple Devastation instead of Thunderstrike. Lose that last 5% to Range and gain more than 7% more to Psi, bringing Psi up over 25%. That's a tricky question.

edit 2: actually, looking at it again, if I Really wanted to go for Psi Defense I would need to build somewhat differently, to have Scirroco's in Short Circuit (didn't take it), and some other sets including Devastation.
That would mean a lot more change than I had planned. Not sure whether that would be worth it. I'm sure I couldn't softcap Psi, but I might be able to get 30% or 35%, and still keep Ranged over 35%. -
it's actually not about survivability per se
the issue is Mez
as a Storm Summoning Defender I don't have the opportunity to take self mez protection
so, wanting to shut out as much as possible...
I worked out a couple of builds, almost all of it is in place already and I'm planning a final respec. One of the builds uses Combat Jumping with a BotZ set to get the final couple of points (and gets me immob protection, and at a very low end cost). The other build uses Maneuvers (I lose the immob protection, and have a high end cost, but gives my team another 5%) and gets me another LotG.
I also had to slot Defense in Hover and Steamy Mist to get all the way there, but it seems worth it, especially since it's also boosting my Melee and Psionic defense even.
Despite the end cost and loss of immob protection, I'm somewhat inclined to use the Maneuvers build, for the higher psi defense, the team defense and the LotG.

How important is it to get all the to 45%?
If I have 44.5% Defense, am I going to notice a difference if I get the last .5%? -
Both Freezing Rain and Tornado can take Achilles Heel -Resistance procs.
Should I just slot it in Freezing Rain, or is the value of having it in both (presumably maintaining the debuff near constantly, especially in AV fights) high enough to justify the slot?
I'm assuming the effects cannot stack, is this correct? -
Your build is NOT good for soloing.
You need FULL damage in ALL your attacks. Until you have 90%+ damage in all attacks you can certainly expect to not do as well as you could offensively. -
Unwilling to change build or playstyle at all.
Is presented with NON debuffing defenders soloing the SAME MOB and ignores the evidence.
Yeah, it's you and your build. -
Other posters solod the same mob with an Energy blast defender with no debuffs.
End of discussion. -
One more time:
All of your arguments fail at the same point.
You're in the AE fighting a custom critter. AE does not play by the same rules as the rest of the game.
That said, if you can solo Positron and Manticore in The Horror of War with your FF/Energy you should be justly proud. -
Ultimo, it's all laid out here for you.
You're in the AE. AE missions are NOT held to the same soloability standards as dev created missions. Strike 1.
You're fighting a custom critter that you designed yourself, and your toon is using the least soloable defender primary combined with a mitigation heavy/dps lite secondary. Strike 2.
We've now seen a post of someone defeating the very same mob using a Storm/Energy WITHOUT USING FREEZING RAIN. Strike 3. You're out.
If you want to solo Player created content with custom mobs in it don't use the weakest soloer in the game. BillZ is absolutely right. The problem is all you.
I'll echo: do I need to make an FF/Energy and solo the Catburglar just so you'll drop this ridiculousness? -

Not just no, but this suggestion makes no sense. There isn't currently a shortage of new toons being made, why force people to stop playing old ones? Also, the IO system directly incentivizes the playing and continued development of max level characters. A very silly suggestion.
Also: Let down? With more end game content then ever before and a potentially ever expanding crafted enhancement system? What let down? -

Tankers still end up with slightly more DDR base (before HamiOs). It could have been on purpose to avoid them having too much, or it could be an accident and it should be enhanceable like the brute/scrapper version.
Mostly, I wish a Dev would say one way or the other if the tanker lack was on purpose.
