    Bloodbath

The overhead lighting in that piece is really killer. The pose is full of energy, too. I think the only thing that might have needed a little tweaking is the blood. It seems.... almost too transparent maybe? Like I wouldn't have thought of that as being blood if you didn't say it was for a bloodbath theme. The line work on it kicks all sorts of butt, though.
  2. Oooooh, real tough choice...

Gonna go with Projectionist. The lighting in that piece.... I'm in love!
  3. Wow! And he did that for free???? That was a good nab on your part.
  4. Oh my gosh, I have one! This is even a few years old!

    Frost Magus

Yes, I have done this character every which way, including stick! All fancy pants too with hair and all.

    a) give up frustrated as they aren't drawing as well as they would like and not becoming insta masters

    b) pick apart their own work in the harshest possiable ways

Crap! I do those two things 90% of the time! (Well, maybe not give up, but every piece I do goes through the I WILL NEVER %@#$ING GET THIS RIGHT phase). I have a very short honeymoon period for liking my own work.

But what Scarf Girl said is still totally true. We all started somewhere and we're still all improving.
  6. The first Mini-Portrait from the sale is done! Gonna put it here so there's a sample in case anyone else is interested.

    Night Gate
  7. Awesome! So much chickage, I love it!
  8. And if that above solved it, then I totally misunderstood what you meant =P
  9. Nice!

I find it a bonus if a client wants a specific pose. One less step for me and I know its what they want ^.^
  10. I'm almost positive there's a slightly different way to do this in CS3, but the old way to unlock a background layer was to double-click it and change its name (weird, I know). Then it becomes a floating background and you should be able to use the transparency slider or remove it completely.

Hope that helps a little bit. If not, sorry =/
  11. That's really cool. Not that I could sculpt them, but I've always wanted to do one of those resin kits you paint yourself and all. Like an Oh! My Goddess one or something.
  12. Awwwww...

That's some very nice posing ^.^
  13. You always pick up such awesome art!

That Wassy chick comes busting back in!

So yeah, maybe some of you remember me. I've been enticed back into CoH after a long absence! Back and ready to call this forum my CoH home ^.^

And now for a little shameless self-promotion. I'm way into doing commissions again and have designed my very first website! All the programming kudos go to my very very bestliest friend, Frost ('round these parts) but I did the design. I like it well enough. And to open I'm running a $5.00 art sale! Please at least check out the site....

Welcome back wassy and the new site looks awesome!! Gratz!

Frost did a great job and the design is nice and clean! Easy to navigate too. Looking forward to some new stuff from ya! I trust you got the rust off by now? :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh yeah, its gone now. I put out stuff pretty steady now. Thanks for the warm welcome back ^.^
  15. Very nice. I added him to my watches ^.^
  16. Wooo, nice! All pretty and colorful. The whole thing seems like a nice package. I hope you kick butt on the contest!

My question is do you except money orders?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I vastly prefer PayPal. I would accept a money order only if full payment was made up front (I usually do half and half) and it was given at least 2 weeks to clear. I used to work as a teller at a bank, so nothing personal, but I've seen incredibly brilliant fraudulent money orders (even traveler's cheques).

Wow! you are really good. And when I say that, without naming anybody, let me assure you that it puts you in really stellar company. I would like to see an example or two of how you handle male characters. But I like what I've seen so far.

I didn't know you were gone. But, you are most definitely welcome back!

    Two most recent male persuasions...

I won't lie, I do prefer females, but I've been getting better acquainted with the beefier sex. Hoping to get a dude or two in my art sale so I can continue messing with new male poses and such.

Thanks for your very kind words ^.^
  20. Really nice! It almost seems like she could be made into one of those resin kit dealies.

That would be an awesome thing to have of a character....
  21. Not sure if you saw me or I just saw you during the long time I lurked, but I do know your screen name.

Yes people.... I was watching.... watching and not talking....

  23. I was more irritated with the plaid than the fishnets. I just want to say that layers are the greatest invention of our modern age, and possibly all time.

Oh! And if you didn't check out my gallery, I am doing commissions again.
  24. I really like drawing hot chicks...... heh... ^.^;;

A character of an SG mate. For the record, hand-drawing anything resembling plaid is annoying.

    There you are! lol

Welcome back Wassy we missed your artz!! Great piece as well! Love how you draw teh females! Btw do you have a deviant art page by any chance?

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, no deviant art page. I tried to get an account once, but was stopped by that huge chunk of ISPs blocking they use. So I didn't really bother. I just have Frost keep me a gallery at http://wassy.nopurpose.org

Thanks for the warm welcome backs ^.^
