Yeah, I'm back. And I didn't leave because of my love for consoles (which has been in place the entire time I've played CoH), it was because I got burned out on CoH. The long break did me good and I'm enjoying the game a lot more now!
I don't play a ton because I run commissions on my own website now in addition to working and taking a class, but I am around ^.^ -
I'm not, but my dad at least qualifies with #7. His favorite place on the boardwalk is also Snow White's.... which I think just makes him inhuman =P
-
You've established an incredibly awesome gallery. These are perfect additions!
-
Awwww.... stupid reality >.<
We should really be able to pay with influence, don't you think?? -

...the only thing that I really notice is that her expression seems a little... well.. plastic...
[/ QUOTE ]
I messed with the face a lot, and having her gritting her teeth, yelling, or anything else didn't seem to fit. The Superman/Supergirl family don't seem to express much since everything is so easy for them. I wrinkled the brow to show some determination, but possibly not enough.
Nothing is set in stone. Maybe I'll do an updated version.

No, I agree with Doug. Its always lame when they make Superman feel all this pain. Its my biggest complaint with Justice League (though they seemed to realize that for Unlimited). Of course, that's also what can make Superman on the boring side at times. Catch 22, sorry ^.^
The piece is lovely, though. So many details, and your renders are always so pulled together. Nothing looks like its floating around on top of things. -

I gave her a shot hehe... colored sketchy
Here free arts for you

WEEEEEEEE!!!!! That's so awesome! Her face is PERFECT!
I think even the Prof. Nebission works, too. In game my hubby has him all in robotic suit stuff (scary looking as possible), but he's supposed to be the evil side of his main hero, who is bald and scarred. I think he would look like that underneath ^.^
Way awesome job, and I really appreciate it! -
Oooh, I like how you used the bigger ears to go with the wings. Works REALLY well.
-
An art [censored] throwdown would be AWESOME!
-
Hey, I still have the gold ink, might as well use it ^.^
-
Heh, no problem. Though I do enjoy stick figures!
I also am drooling over my next sale because my Ink and Colored Pencil section is so tragically sparse. They're really much better in person than I could ever get them to look over the internets, so I'm just going to have to sell them cheap to get them out to people! They're one of my favorite mediums to work in.
But RocketBoy and I have seemed to work out a trade. I can't wait to see what he does with Neurotika! I'm still open to trade away at least one more upcoming sale slot, so this thread is still viable. And of course I've been enjoying all the kudos on my pretty lady ^.^ -
Thanks! I never had a main character until CoV rolled around and I made Neurotika. I do love her so. She's very very.... fun ^.^;;
-
Hot! I love the faraway look in her eyes.
-
Sorry, I couldn't resist ^.^
Anywho, I'm wondering if anyone would maybe be willing to do an art trade or two with me? I'd really like some work done of my main lovely, wonderful, awesomely hot villainess Neurotika . I've done her a couple times, but I'm never very good at doing my own characters. I always do my best stuff when I'm making things for other people. But I want some arts of her!
What I can trade in the near future is a spot (and the art gratis, of course) in an upcoming sale. Since my normal queue is freeing up a bit, I'm soon going to be doing a soft close on regular commissions so I can run another Mini-Portrait Sale (but they will be ink and colored pencil minis instead of just ink). I can trade for however many mini portraits seems fair for whatever anyone would be willing to do of my smouldering redhead.
PM me here or email me at wassy@wassyart.com with serious interest! I very much crave some Neurotika artwork from others >.<
Here's a little bio:
"Neurotika" began her career with Arachnos as a research scientist, mostly in soldier tech, weapons, and getting the most bang for the buck from the cannon fodder. She always pushed the envelope (and went through many test subjects as a result) to keep her devices on the cutting edge. Her fervor eventually brought her to Prof. Nebission, a brilliant scientist in the realm of mechanical augmentations to the human body. Though she was willing to pay, Prof. Nebission had no use for cash or really cared about anyone but himself. He quickly dismissed the eager young researcher. Consumed by her desire for the technology, "Neurotika" tried to take what she wanted by force, but was woefully outmatched. Prof. Nebission, never one to waste something that could be used for his own benefit, gave the foolish girl just what she wanted. He augmented her with a few brain implants and took complete control.
Now reborn as Neurotika, she's a more than willing slave of her master. She can now draw upon Prof. Nebission's dark power and her technology to protect her overlord. But more importantly, she keeps Prof. Nebission... entertained.
She's a Dark/Traps corruptor. Her outfit is made to be sexy, and the chains are to show her slavery. The receivers are VERY important to the character. She's programmed to love this slave role, and she's a consummate smouldering temptress type. -
I agree, this is great thus far. I especially love the way you do facial expressions.

OMG! SO Jason Mewes is filming a horror flick in my home town, and we know this young kid named Cody who is hanging outside the hotel Mewes is staying at.
Cody seeing a pretty girl walk by him, shouts at her with the "over coat" line from Strikes Back, having no clue that Mewes is right above the whole scene having a smoke. So Mewes hears the line and screams from his balcony, "YEAAAAAAAAH!!!!"
I cracked up hearing that! Only in Canada folks!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Awesome. -
Very very nice. They both have a lovely icy feel. I really love your sketches!
And for the record, I got totally attached to my main villainess the second I made her for the CoV beta ^.^ -
I read books while walking on the treadmill! I used to read books while walking outside but found myself smacking into trees. If that happens on the treadmill, I'm doing things all wrong.
-
I love this one! All the movement is fantastic. I think you really outdid yourself and it was totally worth pushing for.
-
Pretty! I love the rose, that was a nice touch.
-
Nothing beats being able to write things like Playboys off as legitimate work research.
Oddly, my husband doesn't have problems with my looking at scantily clad females. -
I wouldn't have minded if they had been apologetic, but the girl totally expected me to take that print. I wouldn't have had any problem if they said there would be a delay while the printer was serviced, it was expecting me to take a print like that.
Oh well, that's in the past. I love the print shop I work with now. I just want to keep any risque pieces on the down low ^.^ -
Yeah... I've had bad results with the big chain places. It can be incredibly hit or miss as to if they happen to have a person working who knows what they're doing. Or if their printers are working.
The last time I used a chain place, they handed me my print and it was horribly streaky. I was like "What the heck is this?!" and the girl said "Oh, our printer is acting up. We have a call in." They KNEW the printer was off, but were still fine with printing sub-standard prints and expecting people to pay for them. -
I don't think the bashing would have been NEARLY as bad were it not for his attitude at the time and things he pulled.
