I REALLY like how this piece turned out, and my scanner nearly killed it. People, you all just need to swing by my apartment to check out my traditional medium stuff, because my scanner is evil =(

Happy Birthday 98th birthday to your grampa alex.
Here is a character I'm sure you haven't drawn, Yuzune.
Short Bio:
Yuzune is an ex Pop Star from Japan until she was exposed to too much radioactive limelight which amplified her singing abilities dramatically.
and yes I did make that up at the top of my head.

Darn Japanese and their lack of stagelight regulation! -
<.<.... >.>...
I think your collection is awesome-saucer than TA's because its full of hot chicks! -
Oooooooh!!! I really hope I get in on this one!
Neurotika
I apologize if the bio is too long, but its what I previously had on hand.
"Neurotika" began her career with Arachnos as a research scientist, mostly in soldier tech, weapons, and getting the most bang for the buck from the cannon fodder. She always pushed the envelope (and went through many test subjects as a result) to keep her devices on the cutting edge. Her fervor eventually brought her to Prof. Nebission, a brilliant scientist in the realm of mechanical augmentations to the human body. Though she was willing to pay, Prof. Nebission had no use for cash or really cared about anyone but himself. He quickly dismissed the eager young researcher. Consumed by her desire for the technology, "Neurotika" tried to take what she wanted by force, but was woefully outmatched. Prof. Nebission, never one to waste something that could be used for his own benefit, gave the foolish girl just what she wanted. He augmented her with a few brain implants and took complete control.
Now reborn as Neurotika, she's a more than willing slave of her master. She can now draw upon Prof. Nebission's dark power and her technology to protect her overlord. But more importantly, she keeps Prof. Nebission... entertained.
She's a Dark/Traps corruptor. Her outfit is made to be sexy, and the chains are to show her slavery. The receivers are VERY important to the character. She's programmed to love this slave role, and she's a consummate smouldering temptress type. -
I was looking all over the past pages to find my thread, not realizing you were awful fast on the bumpage! Really glad you like it ^.^

I agree with LJ. Its a really easy habit to fall into to perfectly center subjects, but helps a lot to keep stuff off-center and asymmetrical. The emotion in the face is looking good, though!

I just prefer lots. If you want me to be able to draw it, I need to be able to see it, pretty much.

Here's a brute with a lot of attitude...
Dark Emotions
Next piece should be done by tomorrow at the latest. -
That one made me smile. I was pretty sure what I would find with the reference to "pumpkins" and I wasn't disappointed ^.^

Yeah, its not like I didn't really expect it to happen at some point, its just the cold shoulder and all from a non-stranger.
As mentioned in the first post, I just needed some venting because I had just tried yet again to get ahold of a person who I KNOW is around (not here, but elsewhere) but won't respond to just wanting to know what's up.
EDIT: Just one of those crappy sort of days that didn't start out very well. Getting back to the actual ARTWORK part of things is calming me back down. Thanks to everyone who listened/gave advice ^.^ -
Its 3 weeks past now. Longer than that if you consider sign-up time or even from when I gave notice that his piece was going into production.
But, I know what you're saying. I just needed a little venting. I've been trying several different avenues to talk to the person, and I really don't mind if he really can't pay. Its not the money... its being ignored. I mean, I give free art to SG members on a monthly basis and its not a huge amount of money. -
I do a half and half thing for standard ones. I figure that's the fairest for both me and the buyer. The minis are just so cheap that I collect payment after. And I generally would not ship until I receive payment, but this was someone I knew, which is the real sucky part of the situation. You try to be nice to a "friend" and they burn ya =P
-
Awesome! So expressive. Great cap off to this year's Halloween ^.^
-
Sorry, but I have to vent somewhere, and I know there are people around here who can feel my frustration.
I've been doing commissions here and there for a few years, with the last 6 months ramping up because I could finally devote serious time to my artwork and making it for others. All this time, I hadn't been burned once. I'm really flexible and will always work with people if some sort of money-related problem comes up. I REALLY understand that sort of thing, because its happened to me many times.
But it finally happened. I got ripped off! I guess the good thing is that its a small amount from the mini sale (still don't want to talk money around here)... but the (more or less) being stolen from ticks me off. The worst thing? ITS SOMEONE FROM THE SG I'M IN! This is someone I've been friendly with for coming up on 4 years.
I gave this person the benefit of the doubt because I did know him and sent out his mini when he said he would need to pay me in a week. No big deal, I figured. STUPID. After 2 weeks went by I sent a reminder. No reply. I sent a PM on our SG boards in case the email was messed up. Nothing... but he's posted on the boards. Its been 3 weeks now. If he was having real trouble and still couldn't pay, I honestly would be fine with that. I'd even forgive the debt. But not even speaking to me about it? That's low.
I don't want this to ruin my long-standing flexibility for everyone else, because all my other commissioners were super super awesome as far as payment... but now I can't help but be a bit more distrusting. Its that much worse because its someone I previously knew..... Bah, I had to come across the downside eventually I guess >.< -
That just made me wonder how uncomfortable your couch would be if it was stashing that sort of money in change....
-
I've done big and bulky with what I think are good results before ^.^
-
Sema always does awesome work. I LOVE that facial expression.
-
I'm not overly touchy on hoping for free art now and then, because I like to do freebies sometimes. I do just want to point out that "the artist in school" is usually kept terribly busy just from instructors ^.^

Hopefully something pleasing ^.^
I've got only one more ahead of yours at this point. -
Got the next one done last night. I REALLY like how she turned out. I think she's my fave thus far.

Woooooow..... there's too much to say about the piece! The bits of humor, the overall feeling, the great perspective.... Man. Graver is truly awesome.
