I looooooove the way you did the feathers on the wings...

If that's for real, I'd like to know what font you used for the "FTW" part.
I know someone who got FTW tattooed on her ankle in a gothic-type font and everyone's immediate reaction upon seeing it was that it said "Jew" ^.^ -
I am in support of Juggy Day.
It has multiple connotations. -

Oh ya prior warning Tarter, you just opened up the flood gates to all us art whores.
We have no shame, honestly.

I got out my kayak when I saw the thread title! -
Ooooh, other people hate the depth of field, too? It almost made me cross-eyed when I first tried it out...

I just want to chime in on the tradesman vs. artist thing a little.
I don't agree that an artist should be any less responsible for their working if they've agreed to do a piece because they are an ARTIST. Sometimes is is VERY hard to work through a motivational problem... but you can't get a total pass to indefinitely wait for your muse to trumpet from the heavens.
And there are a lot of areas of work where if you give a person with the correct talent and tools, they'll produce things above and beyond. Its not just art. Some people are truly gifted mathmaticians. Some people are incredible surgeons. But if you accept money for your skill, you have to be held to a certain standard. Ain't nobody giving a surgeon a pass to stop a surgery in the middle because he lost his surgical motivations.
Yeah, artists are artists because they can't do anything else. They're not going to be vets or police officers or senators because art picks you; you don't pick art. But I honestly think that's true for other professions as well. I don't think that the fire that lights me up to keep creating is something that can't be experienced by anyone who isn't an artist. The right thing will light the right person up. -
Those Daggerpoint pieces are just lovely. The coloring is PERFECT for those characters.

I find random offhand comments make for the best source of creative inspiration ^.^
-
Actually, making some comments here every now and then seems to be helpful. Stuff seems to come along right after. Maybe its a good reminder?

Brandon is certainly cranking out the win lately ^.^

I want to see more cool kitties. I really liked the kitties in the last couple pieces (I think they were the last couple... wherever they were, I liked 'em!). So whatever is going on, I demand more felines!
-
Brandon always does such amazing posing/perspective.
-
Aaaaaand, that's all folks! These are the final two pieces from the sale.

This addition can only lead to very dirty or very religious things. Maybe both. -
I always wonder if putting "Do Not Bend" on the stuff I send out is more like a challenge than a precaution....
Glad to hear they weren't damaged. Hopefully the padding helped that some. Rolling won't hurt them, but a crease down the middle would. Don't think you can do that with the envelopes I use. -
Here's Valkyrie Rising's second piece that I've had hanging around for a little bit. I wanted to make sure she saw it first before I put it up.

Because Neurotika is so incredibly awesome that she simply had to stand alone!
Thank you SO much Alex! I loves her greatly ^.^ -
Glad you like him ^.^
I have 2 pieces left, which I plan to finish over the long Thanksgiving weekend. Then its back to normal commissions! -
Woooo, I love the cape. The fabric foldings are very well done and interesting.
-
I love the lighting on these. Really nice job.
Who are they all, though? I had trouble reading the names >.< -
If you go for a cheaper one, be prepared to hate it intensely. My scanner is on the cheaper side (had it for YEARS, long before I started putting up artwork). It really butchers my work and no amount of Photoshop tweaking ever gets my traditional medium stuff to look like it does in person after it goes through my scanner.

Sounds like a beautiful birthday.
*holds breath waiting for newest Graver piece* !!!!
