  1. Mmmmm... Candra does some very very nice work.

Very nice lighting on this one.
  3. Thanks for the glowing reviews, guys. It means a lot to me to have happy clients ^.^

I like it. It must've been difficult to space given all the wings. The one critique I would point out is that the white-haired woman's right wing gets a little lost in front of the dark-skinned succubus looking character.

Yeah, the wings ended up driving me CRAZY. I went through soooo many placements of characters. I agree with your critique, but it was honestly the very best out of the easily 20-50 solutions I messed with. The white-haired chick is also second-in-command of the SG, so there was a reason I put her secondly in front, too. Little things I did to make it right for the SG, ya know?

I knew not every character could be showcased completely in this kind of group piece, so what I actually ended up doing for all involved was give each character owner a file of just their character completed on a simple background with the character name.
  5. Its been a while since I could submit anything, but here goes!

    The Dolls
  6. This was REALLY hard for me to choose because I loved Tacky_Tricky's piece again so much but.... gonna have to go with Lousy_Day. Lovin' that stained glass and its a very cool way to do the theme.

Next month I want to see someone submit a macaroni artwork piece!
  7. I love your work, Tacky_Tricky....
  8. Thank you very much ^.^

The cute part is kind of the perfect example of how you don't find your style... it finds you. Its never been intentional... just kind of happens!
  9. Thanks. Comic book-y is exactly what I've been going for for this piece. It will all be put together very soon....

Also of note (and mentioned in my journal), I just purchased a set of Copic markers. I was gonna hold off another week or two, but I made a LOT of headway towards finishing up a school project and was graced with $100 I wasn't planning on today so... yeah. I'll only be dabbling once they come in until I finish up a couple commissions, but maybe in a month or so I'll either be gifting some sketch card type things colored in Copics or I'll do a really limited sale with them.

Sorta leaning towards a few gift pieces because I really want to play. Start gathering up your very VERY best characters and post them around or note me or something... I'll be drawing whatever catches my attention the best.
  10. Monday needs some leather...

    Captain Emerald

Dunno if this should be noted, but the character is standing around in that mesh top in the costume creator. So nothing shows, but its kind of a weird top and maybe NSFW-ish? I didn't think it was because the color was different from the skin color but eh, you never know I guess.

Either way, its pretty much what you get if you choose the top in the game.
  11. I'm quite liking the way the skin is coming along. The hair coloring isn't QUITE meshing with the lines. Its like its just filling it in.... OH! You know what it is? Its not looking like hair. There should be a bit finer detailing... right now its sorta... plasticy? The smoothness worked really nice on the skin, but the hair needs a bit different touch, if you know what I mean.
  12. That's REALLY awesome of you, Doug. Special personal touches like that trump established norms any day! Thanks for sharing that with us.
  13. I also love all the fabric ripples. Even the ones in the crooks of her elbows... its always teeny things like that that really draw me into a piece. That and I just love fabrics all folded and wrinkled and well... flowing ^.^;;

As far as the face.... I thiiiink I'm on the side of it not quite striking me as Emma Frost.

For someone who claims to have the credentials and backing to critique work (which, when you posted your original thread, I did indeed question - I am fully willing to admit that I'm therefore biased in this regard), you sure do seem to completely lack anything even remotely approaching professionalism, and seem more interested in forum-street cred (because you one hard [censored], what what) then anything else.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ahahaha. Have you being in any sort of production company? You'd be lucky if your editor even tells you what to fix. They just tell you to "redo it better" (but they're mostly idiots so...).

    [/ QUOTE ]

I didn't want to say anything else... but.... I have to for this one. Not only did you totally skirt the question of credentials... but did you call yourself an idiot? You've been touting that you're trying to be hard-nosed like an editor, and then said they're mostly idiots!!
  15. 1. Doug is a he. Not your fault, but thought I would point it out.

    2. My point was that this isn't really a critique type forum. I was pointing out you might get a better response and not be so be-fuzzled by people not liking your input if you were critiquing in one of the countless dedicated art forums out there that are specifically for that intention. Its just not the vibe around here, is all. As I said... fan art section for a niche MMO. Its a gallery more than anything.

My darling Valentine's Day Drawer... all of us here know you're not pointing out flaws to be helpful. You want a little negative attention and maybe some flame wars starting. We get it. Had you REALLY wanted to help anyone you've critiqued thus far, it would have been in a different tone.

That being said, brutal honesty is helpful in the right settings. I know some professors are just as blunt. If you think you can really help people out and spread your undeniable expertise far and wide, you might want to try some dedicated art forums... not a little fan art section for an MMO. That is, of course, if your real intentions are what you say they are!!
  17. Thanks! I did try playing with a few different things overall...

    Always gotta keep evolving!

    Lipe's New Stuff

The linework is very good, but I don't know if I'm a fan of the fire. It seems a little out of place with the rest of the way the piece was done. But I could also see how someone would like that sort of usage, so it may just be a taste thing.
  19. That second one is indeed very drool-producing...
  20. Here's the first character I finished coloring for the group piece. I'm giving each character owner a file with just their character in addition to the full group piece, because I'm nice and generous and kind-hearted and not egotistical in the least.

    Nemue - Colors
  21. I really love those colors. They compliment the sketch really nicely.
