Yo. This is for Coyote! How ya doin, brother? I got to ask... you ever think the big Coyote guy's playin' a trick or ten on ya? An' that CoDependent Lass, you know, I bet she'd love that Vanny yer datin. Maybe ya should get 'em together. -
What a long, strange trip it's been. Don't worry. We've got time to see the rest of the story go on.
-
But wait, there's more!
Yes. Statesman handled the situation as it should be handled in an adult environment. What you may not know, tpull, being new to MMORPGs, is that this is highly atypical for MMORPGs. The primary example, Everquest, has 'stealth patches' where things are buffed or nerfed without mention, where entire, highly significant parts of the game are taken out... (Manastones, anyone?), and where parts of entire character classes are broken by accident. And they fail to respond, or actually do anything about it for months or years.
This is not how Cryptic does things. People don't understand that, yet. -
A little bit of memory was triggered by the mention of old video games. HERO. Mr. Wizard. Heathkit HERO robots!

H.E.R.O?
Of course. Dial H for HERO!
I so wanted to bring Jenny home and use it for scrap art, too.
Learned today: There _is_ a Monster Isle. It's off Hong Kong.
(Edited to fix problem) -
I do hope it's Mutants and Masterminds compatable, or has a conversion table.
It's so easy to write a _bad_ Superhero game. M&M, like CoH, just _works_. -
My god. Perez. If there's one man who could draw a Hami Raid or Atlas Park at Ms. Liberty, that's the man!
-
I remember Tick Dracy. Now, THAT was a great costume.
-
Don't forget, there's the Monster Isle, with the giant monsters, too.
-
Magnetism Controllers: Doctor Polaris... Flash's psychotic girlfriend, Polaris of the X-Men, Grey Armor Iron Man's repulsor beams, various early robots.

Frankly, I think a lot of us might be darn interested in what gets done under the hood. I can imagine the rewriting that was needed for events, I can picture the way you're recoding turrets into pets, and so on, and I don't mind hearing more. You want to tell stories, we'll listen.
Hey, what's a typical day for you like? For Geko? For War Witch?
What comics are you reading? (I just discovered Invincible. Good stuff.) What books are you reading? (100 Decisive Battles, Paul Davis) What are you listening to? Make a programmer a hero for a day. -
(Edit: There is a change in Rage on Test, that drops your endurance to 0 like Elude, at the moment. I refer to that.)
Drop it to 3 or 5 Endurance left at the end of the Rage, I'd say. The big issue is that Rage going down drops all your toggles now. With that change, if you're careful, you'll learn to survive the end of Rage without being offed. Right now... well, the tank losing all his protection mid-fight isn't such a great thing for anyone. (Edit: Speaking as someone who primarially plays a SR scrapper, I've observed that Elude is only really usable as a panic button _or_ in permanent form, because when it drops your toggies, if you can't fire it off again, you're in deep kimchee. Rage doesn't have the defensive bonus Elude does. I do like the damage debuff idea at the end of Rage, though. There's a lot of fun situational things you can do with debuffs and buffs at tail ends of powers.)
Speaking of endurance issues, any comments on the increased cost of Hasten, or the _possible_ increased use of endurance that came with I3? I've noticed it, so have several others. It's possible that the clock may be ticking faster, as I've been watching my endurance recover faster as well. This may have relevance to the endurance drop of Rage as it is on Test. I'm not sure, though. -
Note: See the Bugs forum. I'm building an Unofficial Issue 3 Bugs thread, and trying to list them all, with speculation. So far the most interesting are the "Random Black Wall" bug that prevents missions from being done, the "Invisible Room" in FBZ, and what one guy is reporting about randomly unsidekicking.
Losing half health from zoning is interesting, too.
None of these are bugs causing the game to crash, I suspect patches for most of them are in the pipeline, but we might as well list 'em all. -
As I said a few threads ago: Incarnate is Statesman, Coralax is _probably_ the mer-person. I think.
I proved the Incarnate theory right when checking the PDF on the DVD. Lord Reclus and Statesman are Incarnates.
La Pucelle -
Update: Statesman and Lord Recluse are both Incarnates. Source: PDF of Web of Arachnos from DVD.
-
My calls: We know two upcoming Epic Archtypes. And these names match them well enough.
Statesman: Incarnate
Merpeople: Coralax.
Dudes, Coral-ax. It fits.

I think I am just gonna insted do reading on what build sounds the best and and survive on its own since that class always gets whacked by a nerf, but insted I will read on whats the absolutly crappiest build in the game and play as that. Since you know the only changes to your class are positive ones

And that's why I chose Super Reflexes! I knew if I could hack it this way, I could do anything!

Random things to mention: Speaking as a female player, I'd like to point out that there are certain things we miss. Like having something more than a 'wide belt' as a skirt. What's the situation with the 'heavier fabrics' that were talked about when capes came out? Trenchcoats, skirts, et al? We really could use more costume bits.
Speaking as a super reflexes scrapper: I have a slight issue with Elude, as it essentially makes three of your powers more or less useless. This causes people to respec them away... and then they're horrible when exemplared. If they keep them, it takes forever to bring them back up when they drop from Elude going boom. It was stated once that Elude was a temporary fix, that SR was getting some love at some point in the future. I'd like to make sure that's still on the plate. It doesn't have to be now, but it would be appreciated. As it is, it encourages cookie-cutter characters (Got to have hasten (Perma-elude, to deal with the toggles dropping constantly), got to have stamina (So your recharge doesn't take forever), got to have tough (so you don't get one-shotted like a blaster), and that's just boring, being like everyone else.

I got a rock.
Did you guys check the info on the baddies out? Some interesting stuff there. Anyhow, great fun.

Subject: THIS IS A PARAGON CITY EMERGENCY BROADCAST.

This is La Pucelle checking in. Been busy since this morning, first time I've been able to hit the groups or boards. Forgive the crossposting. Remember, in case of Ambush, ask an Alliance or SEP member for assistance, we're here to help. Check the Ambush thread earlier in the week for a partial listing.

There are three cases I have found where Super Reflexes give no defense whatsoever, and one potential issue coming up.
The three cases are probably related, codewise. Swarms, red crystals, and the effect from the Envoy of Shadows. I was hoping that the AoE dodge would protect against them, but no such luck. Most of them are relatively minor damage, but the Envoy issue is quite large and makes it very hard to be a 'boss killer'.
The upcoming issue is the 'makes minions tougher' patch. While welcome (Though I think a one to three hero to minion ratio is too low: I currently find groups of four minions and a LT in a solo mission, and that doesn't count gating in aid), the fact is, SR relies on defeating the opponent before the opponent hits you twice. The more swings, the more chance the opponent will hit you twice, and at high levels, even with scrapper HP, a second hit will take you down. Sometimes before you can pop an inspiration.
I suppose that's about it. I've noticed Carnies can mez through practiced brawler, but that's not too bad as it wears off almost instantly. The animation times in bringing all the defenses back up at once are a bit annoying in the middle of a fight, though. You usually get one up, then muff the second and trigger the third.

September 19th is this week. It is National Talk Like A Pirate Day.
We will be invaded by pirates. It's logic. -
Thanks, Pos! It's not that we don't like them, it's just that certain of them mess with the plot. Nothing worse than being in a good story and suddenly having to yank people around.
Er. Are there any left that are timed, multiple people, and spawn AFTER an existing mission is completed? I've heard a report of them.
