What other reason is there for farming Hamidon on a weekly basis if not for this?
[/ QUOTE ]
Are you seriously suggesting that 150+ people are doing this so that the not-quite-a-full-team from Defiant that doesn't even turn up every week can have more HOs for the test server PvP?
[ QUOTE ]
Please don't tell me it's being done for fun.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's a big social occasion.
[ QUOTE ]
Now that this is happening on Defiant on a weekly basis
[/ QUOTE ]
It's being done fortnightly, and only once so far.
[ QUOTE ]
I don't PvP with a hero on the test nights so have no interest in HO's whatsoever.
[/ QUOTE ]
Uh, sure. So...why care? -
[ QUOTE ]
I might be there, actually, if I can get my ill/emp to 45 in that amount of time. I reckon it's doable, eh?

Pfft, slacker -

I thought energy cloak wouldn't stack with stealth?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not that I've tried, but most existing stealth-type powers don't, so I wouldn't think Stealth was worth taking.
Also, the I7 defence changes aren't likely to make much of a difference in PvP - they're only changing how it works against higher level enemies, and in PvP everyone is auto-exemped to the same level. -
The 'hidden' benefit of EMP is this: it's a -regen power. With the upcoming AV changes, it could be extremely useful to have.
-
I'm afraid uploading a demo file sound too much like work to me, but this is what the power is described as:-

200 78 FX OneShot 353550 V_COV/POWERS/PSIONICS/PBAOEHEAVYDAMAGE.FX 0
[/ QUOTE ] -
Is that in PvP? I have to admit that I've never taken my Dom PvPing. In PvE, of course, Psychic Shockwave is awesome. In fact, it's too good.
-
The 'loud cry' bit makes it Psychic Shockwave - there's no noise attached to Drain Psyche.

This skill has a green ring around it, any suggestions?
[/ QUOTE ]
This means it's set to autocast whenever it recharges. Hold down control and click on the power to turn this off. -

Hamidon and the Mitos will still have the same number of hps in i7 as he/they have now...so don't think they have been affected by the monster/AV changes.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not their hp I'm worried about, it's their regen - the longer the mito's take to kill, the more chance of them splitting. Still, it all seems to be in good hands. -
[ QUOTE ]
Good question. I guess the only way to know is to test it, since I thought that the buff would transfer if you fired it when the pet was out rather than firing the pet after you've fired off Vanguard.
[/ QUOTE ]
I just nipped on to Test and, erm, I couldn't see any difference no matter which order things were cast. There was nothing in the pet window, and no visible signs of buffs on the pets. So, um, pass. -
A thought or two:
This may well be the first Hami Raid of I7, and if it isn't that raid will happen at some point, so with that in mind...the AV changes will make mito clearing much tougher - while I don't doubt that 50 people all attacking the same target will bring it down no matter what, might it be an idea to have some -regen debuffers on standby so that, if it does become tough going, they can spring into action?
Also with I7, buffs will be transferable to pets. Should I recast my Sing when I hit Vanguard? If I do, anyone targeting through it will suddenly be in trouble until they can find another pet to use.
Finally, when the freespec comes around I intend to respec my TA/A def into Psi Mastery. With Dominate and Telekinesis added to Ice Arrow and Emp Arrow, he'll have 4 holds (and had I thought to take /elec, he'd have 5, but I didn't). Would he be better for the holding phase than my Grav troller? -
I've only been in a couple of times, and it seems my TA is just like any other defender - not enough damage to kill someone on their own, but god, am I annoying. Acid Arrow is excellent for irritating stalkers - that DoT component kills Hide for ages. Brutes hate the Glue Arrow, in fact everyone does (the first thing everyone does when hit with it is try and run, very, very slowly).
Because most of TA's AoE's are location-based, it's often hard to use them against constantly moving players (and if they're any good, they will be constantly moving). So the best time to use them is when heroes are outnumbered in the zone and all the villains are clumped together in a bunch at the end of the hospital trying to TP Foe them out of the base. I used to love jumping on to the hospital roof and hitting them with everything I had. Doing that a couple of times a) persuaded them to give the heroes some room to get out (or at least, not wait right at that junction) and b) made them go for me first. Bit of a shame I respecced out SJ, really. -
I'm just repeating what I read in a Dev post. If I had to guess, it's to stop Stalkers going around PvP zones in teams of 8, one of them ASing and the other 7 immediately applying Grant Invis.
-
Energy Aura is probably the weakest stalker secondary in terms of defence but given the usual Stalker playstyle, that shouldn't matter, unless you're going to stand and scrap. EA's real problem is a lack of a heal, so see if you can fit Aid Self into your build. Otherwise it's quite good, with low-cost toggles which can be taken early and two end powers which aid non-stop stalking quite well.

Psi has one melee attack in the entire set, so I have to agree.
[/ QUOTE ]
It has 2 - Telekinesic Thrust is also a melee power.
[/ QUOTE ]
Huh, I could've sworn that was ranged - but at any rate, it does very little damage, so the general point remains. -
[ QUOTE ]
I wonder what happens to the close range attacks that Psi and Fire have instead of melee, though. I've been alting a low level Fire/Fire and I have to say it doesn't seem to need help in the damage department but Psi could probably use some love.

Wonderman got generichero'd and renamed his toon Lord Drayko. He logs on every few months and says hello.

You've got to love someone who's willing to charge into any group of enemies first, no matter how likely he is to die instantly. But enough about me, congrats to Max!
-
I have a Cytoskeleton Exposure (tohit/def buff and end redux) going spare, if someone would like to make me an offer (of another HO, sorry, got all the Inf I can eat).

Weee! Thanks to Psy and Gonk, who invited me into a PUG towards the end and taught me valuable lessons about life and friendship, possibly.
But also thanks to Peaceline, for helping me through those difficult 30s, and Dameron and Target and the TLS, and Boudecia and the Forgotten Warriors, and Wilf, Death Badger, Cyber Knight et al from TANC, and everyone else for all the teams! Woohoo!
