  1. Awh. But I'm sick of "The Darksiders" and it is the only other game I have currently that isn't beaten past 95% )=
  2. I'll be joining you guyses. I can help shout out some tips and pointers
  3. In Canada there is no such thing as free, we have to earn everything. ;-)
  4. I don't find my slot in Benumb wasted. I consider the extra slot I placed in Stamina to be a wasted slot. But, all my attacks were 6-slotted and there was no better place for it.

Of course, there is little point in talking about this.
You continue using Aim>Debuff>Attacks. I'll continue with Debuff>Aim>Attacks.

    I'm no Red Name but,
I would assume you would be credited by badge 2 months, and then get the third on the day you were supposed to get it before - Tried to make sense here sorry if I did not.
  6. You don't need to worry about using Aim if Benumb has enough accuracy to begin with.

I consider not having accuracy in an important power a flaw. ;-)
  7. I want the new Seers as a Lore pet kthx.
    <3

    Loving the character designs!

    OMG I need help!

Beam/Traps.. no idea. Never played traps.

StJ/Inv brute. Resistance and Defense is so much better than only defense, plus you get a self-heal in invuln.

    1v1 Duel Ladder

    @War-Nugget
Available on weekends - Should be, unless if something else comes up of course.
  10. Do you currently have the PvP uniques?
If you do, I suppose you can use them.
If you were planning to buy them for the build, I would suggest NOT to and instead spend the 4-5 billion saved and improve the build more.

I myself do not find Psi Defense that important. There does not seem to be enough psi damage to warrant high defense. Yes, you run into the occasional seer and fortunata. Chances are you will be able to defeat them before they defeat you.

This build - I took yours and made improvements to it, along with removing the PvP uniques and using gained influence to fix the build. Of course, close to all of this new build can be bought with Hero Merits.

The Merits are easy to come by. You just run 5 hero/villain tip missions a day on -1x1, run to objective - complete them and leave. When you get a hero/villain morality .. you do the same here - speed it. Then you have a merit. Most good items are 2 Alignment merits (LOTG+Rech, uniques).

The "cheaper" build - Feel free to switch Jumping to Flight. I like Jumping because it costs less endurance :3

  11. I've had my time run out while on a TF and could log back in within a minute of applying a new one.

Hmm.. I just attempted to log in and CoH crashed. Did work the second time though
  12. Next month? :-P
This is only the month of September
  13. -The long activation on Thunderstrike may bother you, instead take the immobilize and slot it with Enfeebled Operation. Then free up slots from infrigidate and place them wherever. You can also change the slotting on Sleet at this time.

-Both builds have same mez protection. You may notice knockback more now that you will fall on your backside.
(Derf.. I forgot some mez is tagged with range, yes you may notice it more often)

-Take Flares. Fire Ball > Flares > Blaze > Flares should be good for anything. On hard targets always make sure to fire off those attacks when they are up?

-You didn't slot accuracy into Benumb.. I would consider that a flaw :-p

-I would use a build similar to the second, I posted it below.

  14. That is one cool concept! ^^
I want to make a jello-man character but there is no crystal version of GA >.>

SA is kind of toggle-heavy if you do not take Granite. But that is because Granite is practically all the toggles in the set shoved together, ditching Psi defense for more resists.

I reworked the build I posted earlier..
Instead of a softcap, I went with 32.5% defense to S/L/E/N (and P if you run Minerals when facing psi-attackers) - so to cap, you eat a [Luck].
    Is lots cheaper too :3

  15. War-Nugget

    Trials too easy?

Trials were hard at first, but the majority of players know how to do them now to a schedule. It isn't that they are easy, it is that people know what they are doing.

You do not need a set-AT schedule. All you need are competent players who can actually read instructions.
  16. Defense, Recharge, HP, Runspeed is what I went for in my stone/stone brute. I like to teleport around, so Runspeed wasn't an issue for me.

Unsure what I would place for Alpha.. thinking Cardiac though just because you will be attacking more often than you would if you were in GA.

    ****

I attempted a build, mainly just to throw out an idea.
    Went Cardiac Core.
    Is softcapped to S/L/P.

  17. But at the moment it is equal across all AT.
All the Defenders and Tanks take a OHKO+1HP attack in Lambda.
All the Defenders and Tanks take a 50% attack to their health every 30 seconds in Keyes.

If vectors and types were added to the attacks, yes tanks would survive more than defenders. Right now, it does not matter that you are a tank or that you are a defender. Your tank gets damaged as much as someone elses defender.
  18. DM/INV can be a god-destroyer when you fully deck it out.
Idealy you want to softcap S/L with 1 target in range of Invincibility and have decent recharge.
Not knowing your budget makes it hard to create a build.
  19. Use veng and reds. >.>
+Damage is +Damage no matter where you get it from.
The quicker foes are dead, the less you have to worry about defense.

0% is fine for defense. Insps drop like rain anyways in ambush farms.
  20. Right now the playing field is equal. You are wishing it to be unequal.
    How fair is that?

Pulse, Nova Fist, Rings - all scaled to AT health totals. Each AT is hit equally, it doesn't matter that they have spent billions on their characters everybody is equal.
Yes, unavoidable damage is cruel. Deal with it. Grab green inspirations, TELL someone to heal you.
If you are not getting buffed, again - TELL them to buff you if you cannot survive.

This is my first polished (and from scratch) build in a very long time, so I'd appreciate any constructive feedback.

It may be worth mentioning that I prefer to be able to easily solo if necessary, thus the defensive build.
    Sorry for the necro x.x
Looks fine. You say no epics but have the panacae proc, Ill assume that was a mistake and it is supposed to be a numina proc
I got you the rest of the defense you needed, but slightly lowered the recharge. You now have 45% ranged defense and 130% recharge.
    Yes.. I 5-slotted hover >.<

    Anyways, two questions:

    1) Is the one shot mechanic still in place? There used to be a mechanic where if you took a one shot you were always left with 1 hp.

    2) In the case of this AOE you are referring to, is the AOE dealt out in pulses in order to cancel out the one shot rule? IE damage dealt every .5 seconds for 1.5 seconds or something?
a - When hit with an attack that is a OHKO, you are left with 1 healthpoint.
b - The pulse attack happens every thirty seconds in Keyes, and deals 50% of your health + % of how much health Anti-Matter has currently. The more AM is damaged, the more damage the pulse does. You can heal up in the thirty seconds before the pulse happens again.
  23. I like the untyped damages, makes you think.
Apex - you need to constantly move to pull Battle Maiden out of the rings, and to stay out of the rings yourself. I find this fun.
Marauder - you just need to back up from him or else take a OHKO+1hp attack.
Keyes - inspirations, eat 'em. Also encourages your leaguemates to use their darn temp powers ASAP so you can move on. It really isn't that hard..

I agree with Giant - A cheap character on SOs with higher skill levels should most definitely survive longer than a moronic character with lots of inf backing him.

Me suk at teh english wording of my thoughts. I apologize LOL It shall stay in Nuggetnese.

Meant to say - I like the untyped damage. It lets the person who isn't willing to spend thirty minutes in the AH every so often to start racking in influence to build their character have a chance in newer content. This game is easy, even easier when you spec-out your character. Throwing something evil like a move that can kill you in one hit, or knock you out of battle completely, is just something that you will need to find a way over. Movement helps in Apex and Lambda. Self-heals and Ally-Heals can help in Keyes. Clarion, or high mez resist will help in the Underground.
I myself hope for even more unresistable attacks, I find them fun. As long as I am having fun, let it be 4x8 TFs or cheap tactics like OHKO+1, I will continue to play this game.
