@Everyone commenting on "Level Progression = Time"
Thanks for clearing that up for me! -
Quote:Would be nice considering you can't even mooch Midnighter's access any more 'cause they changed how mission badges award )=Largely agree with this. I really (REALLY!) wish Cimerora access would be sold on the market. Similar to the cape and aura unlocks, the access remains free to those who want to run the arc. But an option to buy access for, say, 400-800 points would be nice.
I wouldn't say this was high on my wish list, but it's an it-would-be-nice item.
I still wouldn't buy that though! Much how if I want capes/auras I can just use in-game currencies (Astrals) for vouchers -
Quote:Manticore and Back Alley Brawler are not related to Statesman though. Combat was talking about how his relatives are all dropping out :-pMs Liberty is alive and kicking! Hopefully they won't kill her off, as I rather like her.
Kill off BaBs instead or Manticore!
@Others
Oh well, I've never personally ran a LRSF so I always figured she died in it - by ran I mean have the star, I've done the TF before however
@Slick Riptide
The Atlas we visit is the Atlas at level 10 ... so Ms. Liberty would be alive at that point! But she is alive anyways, so she is still alive?
So confusing :-p
The time we fight the Phalanx when Positron is powering one of Recluse's machine is in the future, so if we killed them there it doesn't affect the past. -
I'm not sure about Ms. Liberty - LRSF is at level 50, SSA is at level 40 (currently) - IIRC story is at a per level basis and Liberty could very well be dead or not in story when SSAs are at level 50.
There is still Master Recluse alive -
:-P Z, I can still wish though right?
Your next hat should be a Viking Helmet .. just saying -
Painbringer.
I like Speed Boost for the added recharge too, but most of my characters have a mega-amount of recharge and don't need more.
Painbringer gives that character 500% more regeneration and 800% more recovery PLUS a 50% damage buff (this is base) - that is just awesome for most of my characters :3 -

::shrug:: Its dugfromthearth's thing to do

Quote:Wondering if it is "Blade & Soul" , although it may be the wrong continent ..Mainly just that The Television has been moved from CoH to Paragon's upcoming project. So that's confirmation in a way that they're doing something there other than CoH.

Thanks for the quick summary though Agent White! -
Going to the wrong Tram door, y'know the one that isn't clickable that you exit out of...

Dominatrix is also the one behind the Destroyers, the suppliers of 'Dyne in Praetoria.
Really, she is a 'Pot-Stirrer' and nothing more - yet. -
Quote:Agreed....Atlas Park, Kings' Row, Steel Canyon, Faultline, Independence Port, Talos Island, Croatoa, Founders' Falls, Eden, Peregrine Island, Cimerora, Ouroboros, the Rikti War Zone, the Hive and Dark Astoria. I think this would be much more manageable.
I still personally like the Rogue Islands and Praetoria - plus Praetoria is brandnew, why would they ditch that? They just built it :-p -
Quote:I could get behind that.A compromise might be to give the League Leader some brighter text colour by default. If a functioning league all has their league chat window open it's simple enough to follow instruction
Possibly have the bigger font in the UI window - much how on the ITF when Romulus is doing his speech his text is at least twice as big as ours AND it is half blue/half violet!
Having the league leader talk in a blended colour that is size "5" might help. -
I agree with Wing Leader, once you find your "One" you don't really play other characters.
Lately this has been my Fire/Cold corruptor.
Before the corruptor it was a Stone/Stone brute.
I usually make other characters for specific reasons ; PvP , static-teams, events
or if I know it might replace my 'main'.
I still play my Stone/Stone, but I find he is obsolete and the TW/Elec I have been leveling will eventually replace him as my 'tank'. -
@Rabid M
Apex-Tin is short and simple. Back to back it is 30 minutes and you grab 80 merits and the choice between 20 threads or 2 astrals (Think there is shards in there too)
2-3 missions only too.
**
I agree though : I wouldn't mind seeing content for 2 - 8 players.
First thing that comes to my mind is Task Forces, because we have Apex/Tin which are incarnate-based. -
-
Not to be a Snarky-Dragon but ...
You mean... if they were to make you know, a Task Force ?
As in Apex and Tin Mage (and I guess Kal and Sutter) ? - Incarnate Related
I would however like more task forces like Apex and Tin Mage -
1) Receive Spam
2) Ignore Spammer and Report for being a RMTer (Believe there is an option like that)
3)Spam List is filled
4)Delete top few spammers
5) Rinse and Repeat
I personally do not see many spammers and find that this would be too much. See AE where I can't even use the word "SPIDER" without the system acting up, if there was a filtering system.
We have the ignore list, utilize it. -

The Santa images makes me think of this :
"Shave a man's back and he'll purr like a walrus"
-
The attempt at aiding this issue was the gating of the content. Of course, gates must be opened and well .. someone blew up the lock!
The way to fix this is to make trials that follow the KISS mindset - Keep it stupid simple!
Or is that 'simple, stupid!' ?
Oh and short.
Some people only play on a time limit - eg. I can't do a Quarterfield because I do not have 3 and a half hours to spend killing rularuu. Instead I will settle for a Lambda, because there is one forming right now!
::shrug::
We like low risk, high rewards !
BUT
When the new slots come out, those of course WILL likely be gated behind the newer trials. Then people will be forced to run the new trials to unlock the slot before falling into a Lambda Lambda Lambda league followed by a nice, steamy BAF.
OR
To solve that issue a new currency would need to be made.
Like Incarnate Cloth and T-Shirts.
"I beat Omega Sector and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!"
But, people will rage at the new currencies too, and just not do the new trials!
...
Or well, this is how I see it.

Quote:THIS! Would be awesome!ADDENDUM: And for one slightly off topic addition, I will say my favorite fight in the whole game is the one with Mary McCromber at the start of the Katie Hannon Task Force. It, too, has an out of control feel with mobs of enemies raining down on you. There's something about the craziness of those witches and all the lightning storms that is really great. I may be the only player in the world to say this, but if Mary were to suddenly go incarnate and show up with a bunch of Storm witches that would be one raid I couldn't pass up.

Having only completed Lambda, BAF, Keyes and Underground I would say I would like another Lambda-like trial.
Practically the same reasons you stated.
Plus, it is the only trial where I can ignore everybody and go do my own thing.
"Oh? You're clearing outskirts?"
"Yep!"
"I bet I can take ALL the turrets down before you finish clearing the outskirts!"
Which, sadly since more people are getting all incarnated we usually tie, or I lose. (I still win on mainly PUG runs)
I would so like seeing another trial where I can just destroy everything!
Although, I do like fighting Dr. Keyes. His fight has a sweet mechanic, it just feels super to me. -
Quote:Yes.After reading a lot of responses in this thread (which makes me happy to have this discussion) it is true that I am likely overselling how much the Villains seem to pull ahead in these arcs compared to the Heroes. (I did state in my OP that I was probably a little biased)
As for the OOC vs. IC? The character I have been running the SSAs with is a 50+3 with a fair amount of experience under his belt. I can still see plenty of holes where my character I think SHOULD have seen some of the twists coming. Now this is retroactive of course, which leads to another interesting thought:
I stated that I believed the arcs were geared towards folks unfamiliar with the lore. What if the arcs were also geared towards level tiers? At level 20, my character (the aforementioned 50+3) wouldn't have known the connection between Darrin Wade and the Rulu-Shin, even though I as the player are already fully aware due to having leveled the character to 50+3.
This could also explain the rather glaring gaps in common sense and logical thinking.
Every time you visit Steel your character is travelling back in time to when they first went to Steel.
This is why in Apex (Tin Mage?) when you go arrest Battle Maiden Steel is destroyed, but if after the TF you go to Steel everything is rebuilt. (Y) -
The developers hate heroes!
-
WOW!
Looks shnazzzzzy.
Seems like it'll be like KM though :x -
Snow Storm is fairly useless, would suggest getting rid of that for a travel power.
Frostwork is also droppable, but you have room for it so I left it in.
Minor changes made to the build, I changed slotting elsewhere to remove your Gladiator. You said you do not own it currently, so I figured I'd just squeeze it out of the build
I also moved the Kismet so that it will have more use to you, and also got more accuracy elsewhere. You now have 95% accuracy against +4s (before accuracy debuffs of course)
I personally do not really know how to slot Life Drain so I left it as is. I'm sure you could slot it for damage like Siphon Life however.

For Incarnates -
Alpha => Spiritual Core
Interface => Reactive Radial
Judgement doesn't matter.
Destiny is situational.
Lore ... if you want Max Damage pets go Cim-Cim. Otherwise your choice.

I attempted to leave your slot levels, but these are probably off. The defense might be below 45% when using min. level defense IOs and if you do get a hold of a Glad 3% this problem would be fixed of course.
