  1. Neat!
I for one know zilch when it comes to the mechanics on AV-soloing..
Will have to check out the scrapper topic some more, figure out how to calculate this sorta stuff..

Is there certain secondaries that make AV-soloing easier? Completely thinking: Softcapped Smash/Lethal is a must for any test like this, maybe high recovery from Willpower or layer defenses from Invulnerability?
  2. How you solo AVs?
If it is possible to do so with a Stone Melee brute?
Also, how you calculate DPS .. I assume this will be something I would need to know

I say Stone Melee, because I haven't heard of someone soloing an AV with it.
Seen videos of Dark Melee, and a couple other scrapper primaries doing as such but not much about Stone Melee.
From my little knowledge of the subject, DM is capable because of the self-heal and maybe the debuffs?

So again, how would you solo an AV with Stone Melee? (With temps, and insps.)

  3. I give you...........
    CANCER!

    Hope I helped

  4. Oh derf ... I knew that didnt look right just didnt fix it <.< (will change FF to FBZ)
I have Anti-manter from running the arc anyways .. but from 'snooping' I seem to be the only one without accolades currently LOL! Would love some help though getting everything done <.<
  5. Hey all!
Got my exams coming up soon, and after they are finished I will have a nice 6-day weekend. Was hoping that I could finish accolading out my toon during this time frame and would love if you guys came along aswell!
I am sure I am not the only one without all needed accolades, and if you do have them I am sure you would like some Merits ;)
Will be running Maria Jenkin's arc -preferably contact but Oro it if necessary, the 6(7) Signature TFs, and then hunting for Fake Nemesis' in Firebase Zulu , and the badge missions for Shrouded and Multidimensional. I am sure you folk can manage to find the necessary Exploration badges and Plaques.
Would love if you all came, of course you can only fit 8 people on a team..

    WHEN?
January 29th through to February 3rd.

    WHAT?
Task Force Commander Badge for +5% Max HP
Freedom Phalanx Reserve Badge for +10% Max HP
Portal Jockey Badge for +5% Max HP/+5% Max End

    ORDER OF EVENTS
    Will do as follows:
    1. Positron Taskforce A and B
    2. Synapse (this TF normally makes me want to rack my brains out.. so it goes by itself) + Unveiler Hunt
    3. Sister Psyche and Citadel
    4. Manticore and Numina
    5. Maria Jenkin's "A Hero's Epic" along with the Shrouded and Multidimensional Badges (will be missing Anti-Matter.. can run Tina Macintyre's arc through Oro if needed..)
    WHO?
People who need these accolades on their PVP-toons in BootCamp (mainly just me it seems) otherwise, anybody is welcome.

    REWARDS!
    267 Merits!
    Badges!
    Salvage/Recipes!

  6. Availability:
I sort of like any event-like thing late, so any day but for Monday, Saturday is good after 9 PM. Of course theres still the chance of me not showing up.. and SOMEONE burning my house down!!
  7. Good job Team Pimp Hand!
Good job Team Pew Pew Pew!

Sorry for not being able to come, but I was not near a computer at the time of the event. Also, I'll be away next practice aswell - leaving for Vacation in 3 hours. (:
  8. Okay, not hard for me to list my 50 toons..

    Code:
    -----------------------------------------------------
Tympanal, Sonic and Pain Domination, Corruptor (IOed)
    -----------------------------------------------------
Lord Tsarian, Martial Arts and Regeneration, Scrapper (SOed)
    -----------------------------------------------------
Maelstone, Stone and Stone, Brute (IOed)
    -----------------------------------------------------
War-Nugget, Shield Defense and Fire Melee, Tank (IOed)
    -----------------------------------------------------
Lyre, Electric Melee and Fire Armor, Brute (SOed)
    -----------------------------------------------------
So there they are, and only two of them seem to be PvP-able - Scrapper and Corruptor.

Oh, and I think I figured out my Vent issues. Could be that I need to run vent in admin, although there is only the admin-user on this PC, or the fact that Vent could be clashing with my SB X-Fi Audio card settings. I will have to try monkey-ing around with them until I can hopefully get it to work.
  9. I got my build done, pre-i19 one however don't feel like having to sell the IOs that I'm not using or even wanting to respec Tympanal. Well, missing one LotG.
No accolades, been busy with other things (school work, mass-TFs on my 'main').
  10. :O OH NIUU! NOT JACOB! ANYTHING BUT HIM!!!
    Team Dracula ftw!

Like I said on Sunday , I should be available if I'm on, but I do do a family dinner then.. but I end up on CoH later on, before the Rikti Raid still sounds pretty good!
Spontaneous practices would be good too! And, I'll try and get a microphone soon... I will.

    First 50?

Like those who've said it before me: Pick a character you like and level it, a concept is good too!

Join some channels, I know on my server (Victory) theres many. Join a SG/VG, I'm sure they would love to have you along. If you can't stick to one character, I have alt-itis myself but I'm obsessed with the costume creator (Thank teh devs for 5 costume slots!!), just keep making them until you find one that youre like "OMG! This is the one!" ..

When I first started playing, little under a year ago, I created a scrapper. I got him to about 30 and switched to playing a different toon... then another.. and another.. and then I decided on a brute. He ended up being my first 50, and one of my more played characters aswell!
  12. Thanks !
Now the fun part .. getting enough A-Merits to buys the Lotg's (I wont slot them, just going to stock up lmao)
  13. .. I are a Sonic/Pain corr.
    Seems like fun!

  15. Hi Masque! You know that I joined the Free Agent's list on a Sonic/Pain Corr (Think I called myself Tympanal). You mentioned that you could post a build for me (preferably low costing if so..)? I would make one myself, but having only slightly PvPed, I have little to no idea of how to build one. Thanks for letting me join anyways, and thanks in advance for your help

    Which Farm?

    Heroes - Unai

Unai gives a variety of maps that are good for farming. Some popular ones include:
    • The first one he usually gives you is a bunch of council in a war-zone like outdoor map. It isn't a bad map, and council are decent for farming. It is somewhat oddly shaped though, so if you have to spawn it for 6 with less (or more) people on your team, it can be annoying.
    • Family: This is probably the most popular of Unai's farm maps. I don't remember how far in it is, but its a good ways in. It is a nice rectangular map that requires clicking on 11 altars to complete. This means you don't have to worry about accidentally killing all the mobs and completing it. And if you have PuG members, you can always watch to see if that counter is dropping and then kick someone before they grief you.
    • Freaks and other: There are some other farm maps in Unai's various arcs and missions. If you have a character you don't think you are going to use for farming, you might want to run all of his missions and arcs and see for yourself what you like.

    Heroes - Harvey Maylor

Harvey Maylor also gives one of the more popular maps. The Demon map (praetorians, technically, rather than CoT) is about 7 or so missions in on his arc. When you unlock him, you will have to do other missions for him until he offers you "Find a souvenir" (from memory, it might be slightly different). On his demon map you have to be careful since it is a "defeat all." I generally leave the following groups:
    • The far northern raised alleyway: I do not fight ANY groups in here (there is usually 1, and sometimes 2 groups up here).
    • The very last SW corner group.
    • Lately, I have also been leaving any groups in the mid-area raised section if the group is on the western side of the map. That sounds weird, but I am being more careful lately after I had this map get completed on one of my non-farm characters (a runaway mob with rad debuffs aggroed a lot of extra groups, and we lost track of which groups had been left alive).

    Villains - Television

Pretty much the only good farm maps come from the Television arc on the villain side. This requires unlocking the Television contact and then doing a few of its missions. This is similar in difficulty to the Hero side process of unlocking Harvey Maylor. There is no villain side contact like Unai that gives out farm maps right from the beginning.

    Okay, above I copy-and-pasted from a website called http://www.brighthub.com/video-games...cles/7759.aspx
This is just the second part of his 4-part farming guide (its an older guide, but still covers farming basics, says i12 changes.. so probably that "old")and lists some "good" farming missions. It is missing the "snake farm", but the snakes deal toxic damage. I know its in a patron arc , which patron I am not sure. And of course any other farm-worthy missions. I don't farm, so I couldn't tell you what they are.
The Television farm is the one filled with Nemesis, but you probably know that already.

For you though, I suggest Harvey Maylor's arc. It has the "demons farm" , filled with Praetorian Demons (the ones summoned by Infernal).

  17. Wow. Awesome artwork you got there. And, out of the kindness you possess, you offer to possibly draw our characters?
(I apologize for this huge picture, but I wanted
    to show their whole costumes,
and didn't want a whole page in length)
Top Left - War-Nugget, a turtle who hates people thinking he likes rats.
Middle- Hill Gigas, a Giant who isn't afraid to take down people in his way.
Top Right - Lord Tsarian, a man trained in the Martial Arts, and befriended bees.
Bottom- Maelstone, a crazed Weapons employee, who stole their prototype "Ring of the Earth"
  18. Ice Armor and Ice Melee for brutes.
Apparently in CoV beta, it was removed because -recharge takes away from fury. But fury has been redone partially now, and I think that brutes should get the ice powers. Yeah, there is a sleep and plenty of slows, but brutes have dark armor and energy armor/aura. Energy has a stealth? How does that build fury? Dark Armor has a fear and a stun, again how does this build fury? Ice has a slow aura and a damage aura. From my understanding a damage aura would build fury.
Brutes have access to APPs now, and Earth has... an AoE sleep. Seems we should get Ice melee atleast.. it has an AoE sleep as well.
  19. Did the arc on my level 45 tanker, and I honestly really like it. Left you a comment, and rated as such. But I think you should keep the comedy flag on it, because I found it funny.
    My new title suggestions are:
Geek Alert! (Because you are rescuing a TV actor, as Percy mentioned in the first mission heh)
    and,
Have a Blap! Blap! Blappy! Day! I say to remove the "Kids" because .. its another quote from the enemy dialogues.. (:
  20. So they are making the Praetorian Halloween salvage taker permanent and not a "I only appear during x - x time!" Because, she was there.. in Tiberian (?) Bluff

    BUT YES!!! HALLOWEEN EVENT RULEZZZZZZZZ!!!111!!1111!

By "broiled up" you mean someone checked the first page which had my thread sitting for only a week ? That just seems like someone commented. :P
Thanks again, I do play with lights on.. but still can't you let others say they agree ?
  22. MA/REG was my first toon I ever made, and one of my two 50s. But, I didn't have the enjoyment out of him as you did..
I always forgot I had powers that needed to be clicked , which is near all of Regen. I got him to I think 37 before making another toon, which I just loved and got to 50 in about a month or less. Then I went back and respecced my scrapper because having all the attacks and slots spreaded out between them is not a good idea, heh. Slowly got him to 50, where I had to respec again .. because I got sick of him, and never got all the recharge I wanted because I suck at the market.
I'm happy to hear you like your MA/REG scrapper, hope you continue through as die less often!
  23. Bah..
What is all this talk of join date ? o.o

Ambient Lighting.. alright, I'll give this a try. And I'll just look away from the flashy-ness of it. (:
  24. Electric Control = EYE SORE

Yes, I said it. It is cool and all, very flashy, the set has its uses.. but,
It is way too active. And bright. It MURDERS when you have high settings on in game, let alone very good coloring (I have mine custom-set to match a bird feather that I found, its a very awesome shade of pink heh).

I've teamed with players who use the set, and I try and advert my eyes from looking at the very flashy graphics it produces. But its hard not to. THey are bright, attract your eyes, and just plain out hurt.

Could I possibly request LESS flashy animations? I know you developers based the power on "motion" and the chain-sequence .. but does it have to be so fast and eye-hurting? Its cool and all.. but even when it is set to black, it is too bright. THATS NOT RIGHT!
Have I mentioned that it makes my eyes hurt?

Anyone else find it is too flashy?

    .
    What are you "arguing" ?
Yes I know its not like slotting enhancements. I just read the post as the one guy said "I would slot these" to have the other say "You're not slotting them, you're slotting them in incarnate slots". That is still slotting is it not?
Slotting as "to place in a slot", which you would still be doing with the incarnate stuff, right?
Yes, the incarnate stuff can be unequipped, can't be traded, doesn't degrade... but still, you do slot it into an incarnate slot. :/
