  1. I've noticed strange things with the Escapees also..
    Being that I've only been playing a Stone/Stone brute, I am of course using [Tremor] and [Fault] and running [Mud Pots]. So that means I have slows, stuns, and knock-up.

    When the knockback hits, the enemies are visibly thrown into the air BUT they appear to teleport because they are not supposed to be hit, if my understanding is correct.
    Stuns hit them, but they move just as quick as they did without being stunned.. sort of like the bug we've had before where the stun hits, the animation for stun plays, except the enemy is not stunned.
    Mud Pots slow is doing nothing, then again it is only minor .. but I at least notice it when fighting even con enemies.

    But, being that we have got BAF down.. only having between 1 - 4 escaping (and the occasional no escapes!!) we don't need to hard control/soft control them although having a force bubbler helps.

    ... maybe I'll get something other than uncommons off the darn loot table, I would like t3s y'know.
  2. Some judgement powers DO critical , it says in white text "Judgement Critical" , if you right click powers in the incarnate tab you will bring up details about em.

    Mainly: Watch out for those people who like to uhm.. hoard temporary powers and not mention it ::whistles innocently:: (come on, I can think of MANY uses for acid..)

    Still, make sure to shout out to everybody in league (through broadcast) to set League in its own window, just for easy access [I tossed mine in my "Raid" window.. which has Broadcast/Request/League in it] just makes things go smoother.

    I like Lambda better than BAF, yes theres quite afew chances of screwing up.. griefers/people not reading/not enough dmg but I like how Marauder actually moves about every so often. -Hei guise watch dis! ::super leaps away:: muahaha!-

  5. Assume architect, you should spawn them in some map where they can beat the snot out of eachother. Could be interesting.

    Stone/Ice

    Some people prefer having the Data Chunk up there along with the build, so they don't need to download anything of teh interwebz..

    Build:
    I know you've spent quite a bundle of shards getting your cardiac rare, but you really shouldn't need it. I would suggest going Recharge, because having your attacks up and ready is awesome.

    You appear to only be focusing on using Granite, which has its ups and downs. Of course, if you ever do exempt below level 27 you will not have any armor.
    I suggest grabbing Rock armor.

    I also suggest grabbing Tough and Weave, just because with Weave you can get rid of a Kinetic Combat set and save yourself quite a lot of influence. I know you have the Leadership pool in there because you team fairly often, but the tank values for those toggles are not the greatest. Tough/Weave will be more beneficial to you.

    Opened up the build, switched around powers ... got S/L/F/C/E/N to 45% , capped S/L (Toxic only when EE is up) resistance. And you have 6% recharge.
    Movespeed is only 5.6 with Rooted/Granite on, but that is still quite alot.
    Didn't slot in the Cardiac, but I do suggest taking Spiritual because it will improve your recharge (meaning more attacking for you) and your regeneration rate (meaning you will heal more per second)

    Asked Masque the same thing last night, what we're doing is teaming through regular content where there will sort of be a goal as to what level to stop at just so we can do lower level PvP aswell. I assume that there is always the AE option, and some people if you ask nicely will boost you up.
  9. Don't know how much influence you have to spend , but depending on the market Reactive Armors can be fairly pricey and you may wish to possibly slot Aegis in there because they are more affordable.

    Obliteration set does not function well in Toggle Auras. It has barely any endurance reduction, and your toggle NEEDS it. Just frankenslot the power with 2 Dam/End and 2 Dam/End/Acc for max benefit with less slots.
    Stamina only needs 3 slots, Perf +End / Perf End / IO End

    Further switching around slotting , moving IOs (putting Heal Procs into Health so they are always active), I lowered your global endurance consumption and increased your recharge.

    Don't know what regular content you'd be running, but I managed to put your Fire/Cold defense to 28% and smashing/lethal to 20% aswell, I'd suggest regular use of inspirations.

    The 7.5 bonus from IO sets is actually different than the 7.5 granted by just the Lotg IO.
    So, you can of course slot them in .. you'll gain the recharge.
  12. I'm a fan off only having 3 extra slots in Damage Auras, figure frankenslotting them for max benefit is better than just aiming for set bonuses.

    I usually slot:
    2 Dam/End
    2 Dam/End/Acc

    On SOs I normally 6 slot with 2 Acc, 2 Dam, 2 End.

  14. No you are correct shaggy , they do cost monies to do server transfers unless of course they have a free-transfer period.

    I am thinking when they do server-merging they will have transfers because well, you're adding 11 servers to people who only used to have 4. They may want to free up room on their 'home' server, and just don't want to delete a character.

    I delete characters all the time if I don't find them fun any longer, or if I just get sick of how dull they seem. Lately it has just been recoloring their powers or changing up the costume every so often, but I still end up deleting the character if I don't find it fun.
    I have a couple characters at 50 that I wouldn't delete ever, one being my 'first toon' and the other of course being my name-sake toon. My main focus is towards the toon which I have always liked, and have spent the most in-game monies on (:

    This is Maelstone, a stone melee/stone armor brute. So anything Earth related would be cool if you do end up drawing him!
    -He does not have a nose, just you can't exactly show this in-game, tried to reinforce that by having this part of the face black. He is living stone, so why would he need a nose?


    The legs are not shown because they are just omega colored black like the legs.
  16. ALL SS/FA builds are composed of max recharge, along with capped Fire resistance... along with having Burn and Footstomp up as quick as possible.

    Assuming you are just primarily using this build for AE farming, you do not need to worry about slotting super expensive IOs into it (purples, PvP IOs, LotGs) ... cut costs out of Black Assassin's build ...

    End up with this. It is fully functional for running some form of Footstomp, Burn, Fireball along with permanent Rage . Inspirations drop so much in AE, you don't need to worry about spending lots to soft-cap a toon that is meant to make you money.

    Okay, I am using the NcSoft Launcher and was following the steps below:

    HOW TO ACCESS THE BETA TEST SERVER WITH A PC - IF YOU HAVE THE NCSOFT LAUNCHER

    1. Run NCsoft Launcher shortcut to get the latest update.

    2. The NCsoft Launcher will start.

    3. Create a copy of the NCsoft Launcher desktop shortcut.

    4. Right click on the new shortcut and open the Properties option.

    5. In the Target window, add the following flag to the end of the line:
    [space]/LaunchGame=CohBeta

    6. Run the shortcut.

    7. The NCsoft Launcher will open, starting a City of Heroes Beta installation.

    8. Click Install.

    9. If you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7, confirm the UAC prompts. (if UAC is turned on).

    10. After the installation completes, double-click CITY OF HEROES BETA in the NCsoft Launcher’s games list to play.

    (Of course in my initial post I did not have the correct tagline there, but it is something that these instructions said to do in this thread http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=254362)

    Following the above instructions I obtain all the Beta files, and also the short-cut on my desktop. I open my un-tagged copy of the NcSoft launcher, and try and run the CoH Beta which is installed now.

    This is where the problem was, it acts as if it is going to launch - When using the launcher, there is a small loading bar that appears when you hit "play", this bar loads and the Beta does not launch.

    Now, I have given up on trying to get this to work as I ended up going over my monthly allowance of Download space trying to get this to work. Figuring i20 will be launching soon, I gave up on trying to get the program to work.

    Assuming this character is at The Mighty Fifty , you have already done the hard part and are now just there to make gain in influence. You do not need a travel power, just use a Jetpack to fly to your farm and reap in the rewards easy enough.

    Just quick glancing at build and from what I have picked up from reading other SS/FA/MU farming builds which all focus on the same goal..
    -You aim for VERY high recharge first, then with any leftover spaces you are slotting for some defense.
    -You have taken Vengeance, you are farming I assume solo to gain max benefits and have taken a team power which you will never fire off to gain defense. Drop the whole pool, and take up Concealment which you WILL NOT run... use the three slots to gain 22.5% rechagre from LotG 7.5s. Having more recharge means that Healing Flames will be up and ready any time you need to heal, and will mean Consume is also up and available as well.
    -Consume I don't like your slotting, I would say put in Efficacy Adapter for it to be worthwhile and fill-up your Endurance upon use instead of only half of it. Yes you are losing 2.5% recharge but you are still gaining that 20% from before if you so do.

    Now you'd be using inspirations any time you have them, Purples and Reds mainly to further speed things up, this (again from looking at other topics of the same build..) looks like it would work for your goal of farming and gaining more influence than you of course have spent.
  20. I must really have a unique error here, I'll just file it into the "lost-cause" section of my imaginary filing cabinet.
    Beta is perfectly installed, has all the files in there.. run the in-launcher "fix" assuming this would help and it did not.

    I install like how you did Texas, just of course using XP instead of 7.
    But, when ever I cancel the download - it deletes the whole entire folder, so I cannot do the 'minor' fixes as they are non-existent.

  22. Queue should only be for Trials I think, why would I need 24 people in an ITF ?

    Looking forward to seeing this, but I doubt we will have much of a problem forming up for these things as like Mental Giant said "People who don't like PUGing will avoid it as usual and either roll their own teams or solo." , so you are left with people who join because they actually want to play the content. If we run into an issue, I am highly sure nobody will object to a "Can you please bring X, and we'll try and queue up again?"
  23. Hyper, I did what you said to do: however installing beta is not the issue, the thing is installed took a matter of 30 minutes to do. It is that when I actually RUN the beta, the bar loads and then it seems as if it cancels/closes itself when it hits 100% resulting in me not being able to launch the gosh darn program.
    I was looking forward to visiting beta, but it appears the set-up is not currently working for me. Then again, I could never get beta to work before this launcher change, even if I set the game to install in a different directory it would revert to installing right on top of my existing Live files. Now I have beta installed and it just won't OPEN.

    Anybody else have anything else to suggest before I give this up as a 'lost-cause' ?
    -Currently I have installed CoH Beta three times normally, once by just copying pigg files and deleting checksum although that actually took LONGER than installing regularly, so I do not see the point in doing as such
  24. If I stop the install, it deletes the folder.

    I suppose after this installs for the third time, I will just try switching (I hope you mean copy the RegCoH piggs to BetaCoH and overwrite), and deleting the Checksum .. and then try restarting the beta download and hopefully it works :/
  25. Okay, this is a very very strange issue I am having with our new lovely launcher.
    It works great for loading up regular CoH..
    but thats not where the problem is.

    Trying to load up Beta, I follow the beta guide (copy launcher, add the /runbeta thing to it, install) . Beta installs. But will beta run when I hit run?

    Nope!

    Will it run CoH?

    Yep!

    So, I hit the run button .. get the little loading bar that says "launching" up to 100%... and it doesn't open the game.
    I've hit repair, I've reinstalled both launcher and CoH Beta and yet this still does not work.

    So far, I am sad cause of this ): Any of you fellow CoHers know how to fix this?

    I just find it completely strange that I can run CoH perfectly fine, the bar loads the game launches, where as when I try to do Beta it does not launch.
    -Yes beta is open tomorrow, BUT I just want to know that I can infact launch up the game for that.. figured I better check now.
