  1. Before I20 came out, those two had different icons to display on the team menu. The dead teammate would show a small "death skull" icon and the out of zone will display a greyed out icon of their AT. Can we PLEASE have that back?
It is so freakin' annoying to have both actions display the same icon.
  2. I haven't tried any trials yet. Did this actually fix the super lag introduced with last patch for real? Or are there new problems now? Can we finally run 24 man BAFs without giving up after 30 seconds of the start?
  3. Thanks for the update.

EDIT: I still don't see the heal bonus, lol.
  4. I'm experiencing the same issue as well and it's really annoying.
A temp fix for it I use is that after I hit "Match accross powerset/all powersets" is click the "back" button, then go into the powers tab again. The color Scheme will still be applied, but the lag will be gone.
  5. Yeah, looks good. Although keep in mind that like this you can also swap out the Rectified Reticle set in Aim for something else.
  6. That was the first thing that occurred to me.. it will also give you the ability to swap the reactive armor set in Tough for something else (like impervium armors).
  7. Ah crap I'm stupid. I was thinking Basilisk Gaze gives 2.5 Ranged and 1.25 Energy. My bad, I'll see if something else can be changed.

This works only when solo. Defenders lose 10% of that bonus for each teammate until they hit the 0% damage bonus from Vigilance at 3 teammates (doesn't go any lower than 0% of course).

    "Soft-cap?"

It's not "softcap in gaming terms" It's softcap in CoH/CoV terms.
A softcap is having your defences up to 45% at which point most enemies will only have a 5% chance to hit you, which is the absolute minimun chance for enemies to hit and can't go below that regardless.
Know that most enemies have a base 50% chance to hit, factoring in 45% defence that's the floor ToHit for enemies. That's the softcap you hear about.

P.S: Note I said "most" not all. There are enemies with a higher chance than 50% to hit. For example the enemies in the new Incarnate trials have a base to Hit of 64% instead of 50%.
P.P.S: There's more for the "hit" and "miss" than just this. If you want to know more you can try reading this article.
  10. It's possible to softcap a blaster to S/L without using a defence based epic shield or the PvP 3% Def IO. However, like many others have stated before you will be burning way too many slots and end up with some of your more useful powers underslotted.

My personal advice: Go for 33% S/L defence with the resist based shield. One small purple inspiration away from softcap when you need it. My main is a Fire/Fire blaster who runs with that combo.
Funny story is that back when I had him softcapped to S/L, while he was really survivable, hits that DID go through my defence, HURT. Now that I've toned him down to 33% Defence and a resist based epic his survivability has more than doubled. It is infinitely easier to pop one Luck to hit defence softcap than it is to pop 4-5 oranges to hit 40-50% Resistance.

Of course, depending on the type of enemies you're facing, different damage types, popping more oranges is always useful if you're facing, for example, the new incarnate content with all the Energy damage (I went with Mu Epic on my blaster for the added energy resistance from the shield which helped me a lot).

Definitely. Everyone has their own style that may or may not mesh well with us. Adopt, adapt and move on. Otherwise somethings will never get done, lol.

  12. While I don't have an SG that I can give up, I do have my own private SG and base with full TPers if you want a Coalie for the TPers.

EDIT: I suppose I can help you with building up prestige if you decide to make a new SG. I'm farming tickets/drops a lot lately to fund a couple new expensive toons.

I would figure that cutting the recharge on Benumb by 8 seconds is very much worth it. I guess it really is different approaches.

EDIT: The third recharge in Hasten is for when I exemp, I know it's wasted at level 50

For a cheap build sure looks pretty good. Although I do have a suggestion:

Get rid of Web Cocoon, use the slot in FireBlast to regain the lost Energy Defence. And get Assault (slot with End Redux).
  17. First thing I notice in your build Fanta is the defence values and the Glad Armor unique. Personally, I would totally and completely get rid of the damage proc in Sleet for an LotG: Def/End in Scorpion shield. That way you won't need the Glad Armor unique and save your self a few bil for it.

EDIT: No Recharge in Benumb makes me sad. I'd use the slot from the Glad Armor to put a recharge in Benumb.

EDIT 2: For comparison reasons here's a build I came up with for mine, too:

  18. I think it's a little sad no red names have commented on this. Even with the generic "we're investigating this issue". A little sad and very much disappointing.
  19. I would try to take something that won't cause redraw. Cold, Dark, or Storm look good to me.

I'm not saying noone is willing to help. I have a toon that I never play anymore but I keep him around because he has the Anti Matter mission saved, and the BP Mask mission saved at low level so I can help people with it whenever they need it. I'm saying that looking at the amount of demand that's gonna be around for it, and the amount of people who are actually willing to help is, like, tiny.
