    I know how to obtain the badge. I was wondering on the best (fastest) way to get it. Kinda if there is somewhere like St Martial NE block on redisde. Plus, I'm not aware of any hero side arcs that have Family in them aside from the first couple missions in the Roy Cooling arc...and honestly no idea if that one is available via Ouro or not, I'll have to check. But still, is there some sort of "agreed on" way that people use like that on the red side?

  5. Any other suggestions? I see the potential fun in a /Traps Corr but I already have a /Pain Corr in the works and just got done with the /Dark one. Unless some real interesting combo comes up I think I will hold up on trying those two again for the immediate future.
  6. I'm not really fussed about the Task Force channels for the moment...since my only Union toon is still level 16. But once I start getting into the higher levels this will be a major problem for me. I hope this gets sorted out soon =/

    I can't think of any reasonable line of thinking that would stop you from using one of the best powers in a set for its intended use. You have Siphon Speed in your arsenal. Why don't you want to use it? You don't have to keep it stacked...just keeping one casting of it up all the time is a permanent 20% recharge boost. That's 2 purple sets worth of recharge right there. Siphon Speed is there to be used, I just don't understand why don't you wanna make use of it. Not counting Siphon Speed in your recharge measures on a Kin is like not counting the massive defence buff from Force Field Generator on a Traps toon, or Build up from a blaster secondary to boost your damage ...neither of those make absolutely any sense whatsoever. Even without looking at the build, I can assure you those 3 extra slots in hasten are much, muchbetter used elsewhere.
  8. Before anything else, I should say that I already have a Fire/Cold that's fully IO'd at 50, and a Fire/Dark that's also fully IO'd at 50.

    I have a 33 Energy/Pain corr that I've been neglecting for a while....and I've recently started a Fire/TA corr as well for experiment. I've never played Trick Arrow before so I'm not exactly sure how that one will turn out..some word on that would be appreciated.

    Now, with that out of the way: What are some Corruptor builds that you've played aside from the Fire/Cold and Fire/Dark that you really enjoyed and would actually recommend people to try? I thought about DP/Kin before, but decided against it for now..although I can see why this combo can be pretty fun.
    I'm not considering Assault Rifle for now, since I have an AR blaster in the works. And I'm not a big fan of Archery..other than that I'm open to any suggestions :-)
  9. I also heard that that channel command isn't working. I've tried it myself on a couple of full channels that I'm a mod in, didn't work at all.

    On that note, I've recently joined the Union population and would love to join Sals Badgehunteres as it seems to be "the" channel for Task Forces and the such which is my main activity in-game.
  10. I too am on a GMT+2 time zone, and play on US servers. I'm not planning to abandon my home server. But I will be making toons on (probably) Union as well. It'll be nice to have people from around the same time zone.

  14. I only managed to catch the first 3-something hours of the USteam chat, but then had to go to bed since it was midnight my time. But it was a blast while it lasted. I haven't logged in the game yet but looking at the forums it seems the merger have gone relatively well and bug-free, so kudos to that, too.

    I'm very passionate about Fire/Colds because it's one of my favorite toons in the game. Very, very closely matching my all time favorite toon (Fire/Fire blaster).
    My Fire/Cold corruptor was able to solo a lot of the AVs and a few Giant Monsters (not all because I have her built for ranged defence, which doesn't help much against the likes of Adamastor for example) before Issue 20 came out. I admit I haven't tried it before I19 on her, but I'm pretty sure she would've still been able to do it regardless.
    Another great point of Fire/Cold corruptors: It doesn't require a multi billion build for them to be able to do that either. Naturally the more you invest in it the better the performance, but doesn't mean that a moderate build can't accomplish a lot either. Mine isn't exactly cheap, but I've seen builds on the board that are easily 2-3 times as expensive as mine as well.
    But yes, a Fire/Cold corruptor is exactly what you're looking for: A well rounded toon that does (very) well in the new content.

    Also, as Dechs suggested a well built Warshade is also is a pretty sturdy toon that's quite flexible, but I've had a hard time getting into them personally..although I have friends who absolutely love theirs, I should give mine a second chance sometime, lol. But from my experience you'd have a whole lot easier time getting on teams with a corruptor than a warshade though.
  17. The beauty of Fire/Cold corruptors is that they are extremely good at lot of things. Fire Blast provides very high DPS. Whether it's Single target DPS or AoE damage. And recently with the T3 reactive Interface proc from the Destiny Slot Rain of Fire turns into a Blizzard clone (so do all rain powers). Cold Domination is another great set as well. As people mentioned above the shields will help your teammates (and league-mates) bridge the gap between their 45% defence toons and the increase base to Hit for the enemies in the trials (I believe their base to hit is 64% as opposed to 50% like the old content). There is also Sleet. Which is simply an amazing debuff with high -Def and -Resist in a large area of effect, and the chance to knock enemies down which also provides some measure of damage mitigation...plus works beautifully with the T3/T4 reactive DoT proc from Interface slot mentioned above. Then there's Benumb, which is (IMO) the best single target debuff in the game. -Regen, -DMG, -Recharge, and also minimizes the effects of the secondary effects of enemies attacks. For example Ghost Widow's hold and heal in STF will be affected by Benumb, so the hold will last less time and the heal will heal for less Hit Points (the latter holds true for the healer Nictus in iTF, too) and many other examples. And then there's the beauty that's HeatLoss. AoE -Resist, massive -recharge and -recovery, and a big Endo and Recovery boost to you and your teammates.
    The only problem with Cold Domination is that it's expensive to get those debuffs down to perma level (or close to it), but once you get there, your toon will be awesome, even without all the new incarnate slots.

    Well. My personal vote would be to go for 33% S/L defence, and a resist based epic (best one, game wise, would be either of the Charged Armors for the Energy resist (since the new content is so Energy heavy)). I have found that combo to be extremely survivable on my Fire/Fire blaster..and I play him as a blapper very heavily. That's of course if you're planning to make use of your melee attacks. If not go for the ranged defence.

    Eh. If you can't decide which defence path to go with. Ignore defence. Screw it. Build for massive reacharge, high accuracy, high recovery, and high damage bonuses. 6 Slot all attacks you're gonna be using to get the maximum effects of them. Eat Lucks when you need to and go to town with your amazing damage. Inspirations exist for that reason.

    I would. I had an Archery/MM blaster that was fully kitted out with softcapped S/L defence and almost perma drain psyche (I used the recharge base buff to hit perma DP when I wanted to). Sure, he did a ton of damage with Rain of Arrows and Psychic Shockwave. But the 4+ second casting time of Rain of Arrows eventually totally wore me out, annoyed me, and just eventually made me fully strip and delete the toon because I just couldn't stand it any longer. On teams it's next to useless since by the time you're done animating the mob will be done either ways. Unless you stray away from the rest of the team so you can deal with your own mobs. But that would sorta defeat the point of teaming in the first place.
    But then again, I have a friend who absolutely adores his Arch/MM and uses it as his main toon. So it's kind of personal taste I suppose. If you can deal with the excessively long animation of RoA then it's a real good combo with potential.
  21. I've seen several occasions where some of the warnings on BAF/Lambda wouldn't trigger causing me to get my butt kicked. For example, I've had my toons sequestered many times "only" after the first warning without the second warning ever showing up. And I've also had multiple occasions where Maruader would use Nova fist to my face with no warning as well.

    My faceplanting to Nova Fist isn't SO bad I suppose, but getting sequestered doesn't only affect me, but anyone in my immediate area as well. Making it frustrating to all of us, and my getting blammed for getting them sequestered/killed and not heeding the warnings even though it's in reality the game's fault for not displaying the second warning. I know at least one friend who has the same issue.

    Anyone else has this problem or know what's causing it? Something in my cofigurations? Is there a way to fix it? Is it a bug?

    I have seen this behaviour on laptops without a builtin side numpad before. Where the "makeshift Num Pad" defaults to "on" which makes almost 1/3 of your keyboard respond in numbers and different mathematical notations instead of the proper letter/character. Look for a why to toggle off your numpad in the laptop. Could be what Sevoo suggested, or it could be a stand alone "NumPad' key or anything else. Just look around your keyboard there should be a way to turn it off.
  23. True about the buff icons and the Area name display. But for people who aren't displaying them? And in Leagues? I really don't understand why the devs felt the need to change them in the first place. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

    EDIT: I think Vanden or Corva is working on alternative icons for that, but I'm not sure if it's gonna work out or not, if the game is linking both icons to the same file (like Mystic Fortune and Secondary Mutation..which I still think is a rather silly choice to make them have identical icons -- at least give them different color pallets, but whatever).
