I've seen a few more as well:
-- Sometimes Task Force missions won't Auto-set after you speak to the contact. As a TF leader you can attempt to manually set the mission from your mission list but even that won't work sometimes -- you've got to enter the mission for it to set to the other members, or they have to open up the mission list and click on your mission to see the yellow marker on the compass.
-- I've noticed mobs (especially AVs and EBs) have gained the tendency to run around waaaaaaay more often now than pre-I19, and it's mega annoying. I mean, a full health Rommy running around like a scaredy little girl from a squishy blaster? Really? That's not the only example though, it's been happening a lot to different people. -
Thanks! I've been waiting on this for quite a while now. I can't wait for the Update with Alpha Slots :P
One question though? Why the prestige sprints? Anything you can do in them you can just do on the regular Sprint and switch ingame if you're using a different one. Too much Clutter IMO and it's just ugly, lol. -
Yeah, sorry about that. I noticed Guy Perfect's post on the previous page after I posted this. I already posted on the Titan Network technical support page.

Interesting....

For some reason the program isn't working at all for me. I downloaded the 0.9.2 version yesterday and tried to run it... it generated the Manifest.dat and the indexes.dat files, but the program still doesn't detect my CoH version or my Mids version. Plus regardless of what characters I switch around the program doesn't seem to detect any of them and thus can't keep track of anything.
I'm also getting a "error installing Updates" whenever I hit the Update option.
I'm using WinXP Pro 32Bits if that makes any difference. -
Quote:Yep, it was set to Accept. Are you sure you had collaborative mission set to accept? You probably do, but worth checking.
Quote:This is WAI. You need to complete an open arc as you have to many on the go.

Ok so I19 is finally live. But not without its share of bugs apparently, here's what I discovered so far:
On one of my toons, the trapdoor mission wouldn't accept collaborative completion and had to set my own mission and finish it for it to count. It worked regularly in collaborative on other toons though.
Another problem: Mender Ramiel refuses to give any missions to one of my toons; he keeps telling me to "Finish anything else I need to first". This has also happened to several of my friends.
Yet another problem: When using the "Quit to Character selection screen" option, sometimes randomly when the counter reaches 0 I get booted out to the login screen with an error message saying that I need to enter my password. This was also reported by a bunch of my friends as well.
Yet ANOTHER problem: Looks like missions that are of the "board train" variaty are f'ed up. Yesterday while on a Kahn TF we repeatedly had to all log off and switch team leaders around (to reset the mission) on almost every mission to be able to actually zone inside the mission. Worst was on the last mission, tooks us almost two rounds of fully rotating team leader to be able to access it, by the time we actually managed to two people have already given up and quit the TF.
One more! When respecing, randomly the system would allow me to place multiple copies of the same enhancement in the one power. I almost accidentally ended up with 3 LotG 7.5% recharge globals in my Weave when I first discovered this. A friend had a similar problem with his Cloaking device allowing him to slot multiple LotG globals in it.
Last one..for now: WentWorths seems to have problems accepting items to display on sale. I had a couple recipes to put on sale and I had to re-sub each of them like 7 times before it went through. I get the pop-up about the high-cost but after that nothing happens. Can click the item again and have to submit it again since the previous one didn't work. -
Quote:Yeah, I couldn't get Trappy to budge. All good now. Also, getting about a 50% rate of cooperative completes on this arc, which is pretty weird.

EDIT: I"m not sure if this is the right place to put the bugs for this..or should I just make a topic about this in the bug section? -
Quote:Yeah I'm really waiting for that one as well. Unfortunately there is no real news from the Mids team aside from "we're working on it". But really though, they've been doing a fantastic job at keeping up with the issues. So I'd expect a new Mids release within a week at max. Of course, that's just my personal guesstimation. Thanks this is helpful, but what I really want as an early xmas present - is an updated mids to go along with I19. Any word/news on that? (For anyone replying: Thank you in advance!)
I tried to take wednesday and thursday off, but they denied me
So I had to settle with just thursday (friday is already my day off a week). -
Well, it's finally time to respec my blaster, who is also my main toon and my main TFer and the toon I exemp down the most with. I have no issues pouring the inf down on him as long as it isn't exactly outrageous. I've already planned the build for him, but as much as I REALLY wanna incorporate Blazing Aura in the build, I really can't do that without straining my Endo. I could really use some help with that one. Because as it stands I might just replace Blazing Aura with Teleport, slot it with Range, Range/End, Range/End and serve as a taxi on Shard TFs. So, any suggestions without breaking my defence would be appreciated
Also, if you guys have better suggestions about what powers I should pick up with I19s inherent fitness I'd also appreciate that.
Here is his current build:

First all:
Wheeee!
Second of all:
For those of you worried about having to write down the enhancements placed on each character: This program from CoH Titan has a feature to actually export your current IN-GAME build to a Mids file. It's mighty useful for people who have builds that weren't previously planned in Mids.: http://cit.cohtitan.com/sentinel/ -
I've been on RSFs were the tanking brute was /SR and he did a very nice job of survivng and handling aggro. Addmitedly, we had a /Cold corr with Frostwork to help things, but still the brute did quite well overall. I've also been on successful MoRSFs with /Shield brute for tank. Not sure how they can handle STF though. The blue tower(I think) gives Recluse a huge chunk of +ToHit (30% I think) which means with 45% defence he actually has a 40% chance to hit you. An Emp with Power Build Up -> Fortitude (or Power Boost -> Fort if it's a 'troller) would clear that gap back up so your defences are up to 70-75% though.
I've been on successful MoSTFs with Ice Tanks, which are also purely defence based (/SR has the sacling resists too, even though that's not gonna help much against Recluse). So I'd venture a guess and say /SR brutes *should* be able to do it as well. Just keep a good Emp around with Fort (as mentioned above), Adrenalin Boost (to counter his End drain to avoid toggle dropping) and the occasional heal if Recluse manages to hit.
I'd heavily recommend having either a Cold with Forstwork for the extra HP (I've seen Black Scorpion one shot Ice Tanks before) and/or a Thermal or Sonic for the Resist buffs to help smooth things out.
But, to answer your question in a short:
I'm pretty sure an /SR brute should be able to tank RSF and STF (even Master Of ones) with a softcapped build if the team wasn't full of retards. -
Quote:But the argument could be that so many retired characters may come back into action with Alpha/inherant fitness that they may decide to allow it so people can move these reactive guys back to their prefered servers.
Personally I'm thinking along these lines. A lot of people have transfered toons over to other servers because they don't use them anymore. But with Inherent Fitness and the Alpha slot some toons are bound to get taken off the shelf for another round of respecs and a run around the streets. I'm not putting high hopes on it, but like mentioned that above reason, the way I see it at least, is good enough to grant us some. -
Thanks Rajani

http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Endurance
I like to think of Regen/Recovery as recharge bonuses for your hit point/endurance recovery rate (which is effectively how they work). With no regen and no recovery you get 5% of your maximum hit points every 12 seconds and 6.67% of your maximum endurance every 4 seconds.
Adding regen or recovery increases the frequency of these ticks according to the standard recharge formula.
For example, unenhanced Stamina provides a 25% recovery bonus so the frequency of recovery ticks changes from 4 seconds to 4s / (1 + 0.25) = 3.2s. Yuo still get 6.67% of your maximum endurance per tick so assuming a max endurance of 100 your effective EPS goes from 6.67end/4s = 1.67EPS to 6.67end/3.2s = 2.08EPS.
Awesome! Thanks a lot Adeon! -
Quote:Please take note that there's nothing wrong with the ParagonWiki.com (or it's alternate link, Wiki.CoHTitan.com). It's the CityOfHeroes.Wikia.com site that has outdated info, RMT ads and infestations.
Again, take note of the bolded part. The Wikia site is bad, not the real ParagonWiki.
Right..right. And I'm an idiot. Yeah that's the site I use all the time for any CoH related info I ever need (as was stated in my opening post)...I was thinking about Wikia when I said the infested/bad info thing... I've no idea why I mixed them up so bad, lmao.
But yeah thanks for catching my mistake. -
Quote:www.paragonwiki.com is your friend
Here is the "Limits" page.
Regeneration for most/all critters is based off the metric that "0" to 100% takes four minutes. From the above link, you see that minimum regeneration is 0. So if they get hit by the -500% regen buff, their regen stops. The extra is good for things such as resistance (especially against higher level foes and AVs) and will work against any buffs they might have/later gain.
If something instead gave a 50% debuff, it would halve the critters regen, so it would take instead 8 minutes for a "0" to 100%.
Same with recovery.
Note, not all attributes can be debuffed to 0, and others can go below zero.
While I appreciate the link and the info, that's not what i'm looking for. I'm not looking for minimum/maximum ranges on Regen and Recovery, I'm looking for actual base value for them in normal circumstanes before being hit with any buffs/debuffs or anything else. Also, I know paragonwiki, I used to look at it sometimes. But I heard quite a few bad things about the info in it, and that the site itself is infested to begin with...so I just stopped going there lol.
However, your explanation of the debuff.
I'm not sure I get it right. You're basically saying that a 50% would halve the regen rate of a critter....
So, for example a use of Lingering Radiation, which is a 500% Regen debuff against say..a level 54 AV, who has a 87% Resist to regen debuff.
That means out of the 500% original debuff the AV will only be get hit by 65% Regen debuff. Does that mean that their HP will now take 2.857 times? Which is basically saying instead of regenerating from 1 HP to full HP in 5 minutes, it would take them about (approximately) 14 minutes and 20 seconds?
Is that it? Or did I get it all wrong?
Also, I'm assuming recovery debuffs work the same way?
And StarGeek, thanks for the info about Jack. Quite an interesting bit of experiment you've got going there lol, I outta try that out one time lol. -
Thanks Silverado
Still waiting on someone for the Regen/Recovery debuff info :P -
Hey
So..I've been looking at some numbers for the random critters just out of curiosity really, and there are a few holes in Paragon Wiki that I would love to fill. So, it's like this... I have a few points that I would love to know the info about. If you can directly answer the question, or point me to a link or webpage that containts the information I'm looking for I'll be much obliged.
1) Wiki seems to be missing the recovery table of Mobs aside from Minions.
2) It also seems to be missing the HP table for Giant monsters.
3) I'd love to know the Debuff resist numbers on all mobs and not just AVs (which are listed in Paragon Wiki)
4) Do debuff resists reduce only the potency of affected stat, or do they also shorten the duration of the bebuff as well?
5) Speaking of debuffs. I'm quite confused about some of them. I know how all debuffs work (I think, at least, lol) except Regen and Recovery debuffs. I learned that the Regen and Recovery are "tick" based (set amount of % regained at intervals of time) and more Regen/Recovery rates mean that the intervals will occur more often and not higher % of HP/End at each tick. Now...question is, how do debuffs factor in this? Matter of fact, how do buffs work as well? Though I'm assuming if I can learn one the other will work the same way, but yeah. I can't figure it out really. How do Regen/Recovery buffs and debuffs work?
Suppose I'm on a Cold/Elec defender. I'm fighting some random mob of Minions (safe bet they have no resist to either debuffs. They recover 6.667% End every 4 seconds, and 5% HP every 42 seconds). I throw in Benumb at one of them (base -500% Regen debuff), and then hit it with Short Circuit (which has a base 100% Recovery debuff -- Assume it's not slotted for End mod for the sake of simplicity). How would that mess up the poor critter's Regen and Recovery?
Thanks!
P.S: I may have more questions in the very near future, but this is all I can think of ATM, heh. -
Uh huh. More so if you're standing there with HotFeet active, too.

Quote:I'm well aware of that. But, for a non min-maxer, the actual difference between a level 35 IO and a level 50 IO isn't ground breaking, and makes a nice middle ground for both exemp'd builds and level 50 gaming. There're also the builds with purple sets that do exemp down with you.If you're exemplaring down a lot (e.g., running Posi TFs), it would behoove you to make an exemplar build with cheap Frankenslot IOs avoiding IO Sets.
You lose the IO Set Bonuses anyway when you exemplar down. Also, high level Enhancements take a big debuffing when you exemplar. And if you build your IO Sets with low level IOs so as not to lose the Global buffs, then they're weak enhancers for your high level gaming.
A exemplar build throws all of its slots into the pre-35 level powers, making all of them 5- or 6-slotted. Frankenslotting with cheap IOs puts them way over the ED cap, which is what you want to do, since their strength will be heavily diminished at low levels.
This will give you a character that, at the level of a Posi TF, is equivalent to being slotted with SOs at that level. Plus, with inherent fitness, you'll have Stamina at that level and no slots wasted on the Fitness Pool, meaning, you'll have a full attack chain. Plus they have access to their +5 level powers.
So, again, if you exemplar down any significant amount of time, an exemplar build is cheap and very powerful -- overpowered actually.
Quote:And thus... the argument that Incarnate abilities are needed or should be available when exemplaring just doesn't hold water. Without IO Sets or Incarnate Powers, a level 50 exemplared can already be overpowered. The Devs specifically do not want exemplars to get any more overpowered than they are. Asking for Incarnate abilities to be available exemplared is a non-starter with them.
Like I said I'm stoked about them. While I do exemp down a lot I don't do that on all my toons. I do have a couple toons that I play just on 50 because their builds isn't exactly exemp-friendly or they're simply just not "wanted" for low level gaming. My Emp would love the Recharge buff since I only really use her on level 50 TFs anyways (well I suppose Dr. Q, too though I'd prefer my Sonic/Sonic 'fender or a Blaster on that one), and my MA/SD and KM/SD would like them some of those buffs too. -
Quote:Good thing we have multiple builds now we can swap at any trainer. One can be optimized with the Alpha in mind, and one can be configured for exemplaring.
.
Yeah I know that, But when you're looking at high-end builds with multi-billion costs in inf, that's a bit too hard to really implement. At least for me, I don't roll in the inf. Every toon I IO out takes many weeks of grinding merits/tickets/inf/drops to be able to afford it. Having to do that again on every toon is touching on crazy for me. Since I'd much rather spend my inf IOing out new, different, toons to use than dishing it out to create the extra Exemplare friendly/50-only build on a toon that already does pretty good in both to begin with. Which brings me back to the same point. Alpha Slot being not exemplare-able makes it simply an icing on the cake for me instead of something to actually build around.
This, of course, is all at current time. I might change my playstyle in the future or something, I don't know. but as it stands, that's how it is for me. -
While I'm extremely overly excited about this. I'm frankly rather disappointed with the fact that the alpha slot does not work if exemplared. I'm one of the people who exemp down a LOT on my high level toons to do task forces and the such. The fact that the Alpha Slot doesn't exemp down with you means that I can't particularly tweak my build or enhancements around having the Alpha slot, since for the most part, I won't even have access to it.
For me, it kinda makes that slot lose a lot of it's possible uses and makes it really hard for me to incorporate it in my builds. It'll be kinda like "icing on the cake" after I finish my builds for when I'm doing level 50 content (I'd think it'll be quite a bit helpful on Shard TFs..even though the hardest one of them caps at 44 and no Encarnate slots there lol). But nothing to actually "build around", unless I sometime plan specifically to build like an AV killer or something.
Don't get me wrong I'm excited about it, I'm just saying that it not being exemplare-able limits it's usability by a lot to me. Sure there will be new content to run at level 50, and more to come with each upcoming issue, but that really won't stop me from doing the older content..especially when helping peeps getting their TFC accolade and the such. -
Yes, I actually just chanced logging into the game (at work ATM lol) and checked that myself. Your tip was right on the money. Thanks a lot man really appreciate it.
