  1. Sweet, thanks a lot guys.
  2. On a Psyche TF ATM, can't try it. Will do when I get the chance, thanks in advance.
  3. I tried that, it simply targets the closest available teammate =/

Edit: Regardless of weather they're dead or alive.
  4. Is it possible to make a bind to target a dead teammate (for power execution, like Veng)?

    Thanks!
  5. Yeah, I have to echo BrandX here. My main scrapper (not my main toon though, lol) is a DB/WP. I have him set up with capped S/L and 33% N/E, 2187 HP, and 570% Regen with one in RttC, and enough recharge to run a gapless chain of BF-> AV or BF->Sweep. He's not the highest DPS, but he's really survivable in almost any situation and his damage is still very good. I have the Achilles' proc in Ablating Strike currently. I'm considering switching the build around a bit to either another proc in SS or a damage proc in it. I currently have two slots in Conserve Power. But the Inherent Fitness almost erased all my End issues (since I didn't have fitness at all pre I-19), so might switch that slot around for that.

    Fire/Energy

I'd say capped S/L on a Fire/Nrg is probably the best "all around" way to go with this set up. Fire Blast is high ranged damage, Energy Manipulation is high Close Combat damage. And if you avoid using one or the other you're pretty much gimping the build. S/L is the best to go with in this case even though it doesn't help much with mez...but that's what Break Frees are for. Here's the build I have for it if you want to take a look for ideas. And As Another_Fan noted, the Spiritual Boost will give you the extra recharge you might want if you're not satisfied with the flow of your ranged and/or melee attack chains. Although personally I say Musculature is the best for this one, I'm quite happy with the recharge on the builds.
Plus, there is room to cram in some purple sets in this build or change some slotting on powers as well, especially the epic. But I felt the Self Heal and the "Oh ****!" button are better than the AoE Immob and/or Long-*** recharge hold from Mace Mastery for a blaster that's as active as a Fire/Nrg.

When was the last time you played before this patch? Because there was a patch on Thursday(16th) and another on Saturday(18th).
  8. The cause for this seems to be that the client doesn't realize that there's a patch that it needs to download. And weirdly enough, instead of giving the "client version doesn't match server version, download the latest patch and try again" or whatever the original error should be, it's actually letting people reach the server selection screen then booting them out.
For the most part restarting your client and/or your computer over and over till the client decides to download the latest patch seems to be the solution for those who ran into this problem. And yes, some had to reboot their machine multiple times to get it to work.
  9. Looks good to me. I like it.

And your thoughts of One with the Shield, Stimulant, and Aid Self sound very solid to me. I wouldn't go with Aid Other personally, because I don't want to feel the obligation of having to use it, or feel bad if someone dies when I COULD have healed them.

Also, if you don't mind spending more money on the build, I would consider slotting one LotG global and two Enzyme Exposures in Deflection, Battle Agility, and maybe even Weave. Will get your defence values higher and save you up a couple sets you can use for more recharge/accuracy/anything you want.

I would suggest dropping two pieces of the Thunderstrikes in FireBlast (hell, even drop all five pieces and put an Acc/Dam Hami in there if you don't use it often) and use the slots in Aid Self.
  10. For me it's the two new TFs. But I have to say, everything I19 brought was flippin' awesome.

I like the Quit to Character Screen option a lot because my game likes to occasionally crash when I click on my server list. Plus, for me it works like...90% of the time. So I'm statisfied with that.

Merged Trams, love it, love it, love it!
Traveling made much easier, especially during TFs. Plus now my newly created characters who discovered a flaw or mistake in the costumes don't have to sprint all the way across Steel Canyon to Icon's only to be one shot by a random Tsoo 5 feet from the door. Or have to ask in broadcast if someone would SK me up or TP me to Icon's. Can just go to North Steel Station and run a very short distance to get to Icon's. Also, my Vigilantes can now actually be on TFs without having to be the last person on the map every time.

And Inherent Stamina is so good I don't really need to say anything about it.
  11. I'd say sets like Sonic and Thermals would be awesome in a challenge like this for they provide both buffs and debuffs. Even if the buffs and debuffs were "weaker" because of the level shift it's still an improvement over not having them at all.

Nope, there isn't. At least currently. Didn't they have one before but it caused a **** load of problems because it continued to randomly appear even though you're not respecing at all? I remember it was annoying as hell when it happens to you AND the person sending you a tell, so the automated "AFK - Chat is hidden" message would keep going back and forth until after a little bit you both get banned from chatting for a couple minutes for "spamming"....which reminds me. If we do get this option please make sure this bug stays the hell away, lol.

Not really..think of it this way:

    Me: /AFK I'm currently at the tailor/respecing
*click on Tailor or Jack Wolfe or their Accept dialogue option*
    *AFK message goes poof*

Also, it's not that I don't want to be disturbed. It's, for me, about letting people know why are you not responding to their tells in the duration it takes you to finish what you're doing. Because if you're actually AFK, the automated AFK response will take are of that.

I don't like it on ALL my toons mind you, but I enjoy doing it on an AoE centered toon, like my Fire/Fire blaster.

Topic related though, I find going villain, getting Demonic Aura, then switching back to Hero is actually LESS of a bother to me than getting freakin' Eye of the Magus, that sucks to get, but damn it's oh-so-useful.
  14. Another thing that I think should be REALLY easy to implement and would make a good QoL improvement, IMO.

Is it possible to get an automated "AFK - user is respecing" message when you're in the respec screen and receive private tells? While we're at it, it'll also be awesome if we can get one when Base Editing and Custom Editing (Tailor), too.

Because if we set a manual AFK message before we go into one of the above three screens it'll automatically disappear the moment I click something in the Respec/Base Edit/Tailor screen.

    ATs and Genders

I play mostly male toons myself. Out of my 28 characters 4 of them are females. 3 Defenders and 1 Tank. Personally I tend to think of defensive sets more of females than males, but I have plenty of male defenders too, so... :P
My Tank was made female because I had what I thought was a very cool name for it that fits her powersets, and it doesn't work on a male, lol.

Generally speaking though, it's an almost even mix from what I see. I see both males and females on all ATs. Hell I've seen plenty of female brutes/tankers as well (A few of my female friends play exclusive females toons and they play those ATs..that probably contributes to it as well, lol).
  16. Interesting, didn't think of that. Will try it thank you very much.

P.S: Your signature gave me a headache trying to decipher it, lol.

It's true: if you pick expensive powers and use them all the time, it doesn't matter if you have Stamina or not. So don't use them all the time until you can get some more slots into them to reduce the endurance cost.

Really? Interesting...I'm gonna have to see if I can edit my build to fit those in.

Actually I only have one (cheap) purple set in the build. Here, if you wanna take a look. I bought my LotG globals with reward and Hero merits, the rest of the build cost me maybe...700 mil or so including the purple set.

While the pets ARE 3-4 seconds off perma, in reality it's not. Because by the time you're done casting "Summon Spiderlings", "Call Reinforcements" will be up, and by the time you cast THAT power, "Summon Blaster" will be up. So even if I do take out that 3-4 seconds off time, in reality it's meaningless to do so.

  19. Yeah, I'm usually running him at x8 either solo or duo with a friend.

Also, aren't the Edict and Sovereign uniques specific to the pet you slot them in though, not Auras?
  20. I think this is the first time I've heard someone saying that the Frozen Armor looks cool >.>

But yeah, if you're still leveling up they're not really that effective to have on a blaster.
  21. I'm not sure if it's that my builds are so good that they really need no additional comments of any sort on them*, or if that my build topics smell so bad that people run out of them as soon as they start reading.

Anyways, I'll just go with this I suppose. After all I can respec if it's effed up /shrug.

*Which, of course, we all know is impossible since there's always that little thing we miss. Even if not, someone with a different approach might have something to add.
  22. It's basically what the topic title says. I have a Crab Spider build with perma pets. My crab itself is pretty survivable with softcapped Ranged defence and 33% on Melee and AoE, plus perma Serum and 30%-45% resist on everything but Psi. But my pets die a bit too easily for my tastes even though I try my best to keep them within the range of my Auras. Here's what I'm sitting at right now:

    - Between Tactical Training: Maneuvers and Leadership: Maneuvers, my pets get a 20% overall defence boost when around me.
    - I also have the Call to Arms: Defence Aura for pets unique, so that's an additional 5% defence boost, putting it at 25% defence.
    - The Expedient Reinforcement: Resist Aura for pets unique is also slotted. So that makes 25% defences all around and 10% Resist.

Is there anything else I add to my build to increase the survivability for my pets? Any help would be appreciated.
  23. My pesonal take on this:

-- Tough stacks really nicely with any resist based epic shield.
-- Weave stacks really nicely with any defence based epic shield. When going for Weave, Tough is very nice layered mitigation to have, but only if you can afford the slots to slot it properly.

My Elec^3 blaster has Tough to stack with his Charged Armor, but no Weave since his current build isn't for defence.
My Fire/Fire/Mace blaster has Weave to stack with his Scorpion Shield. But while he does have Tough, I mostly keep it de-toggled because the only thing I have in it right now is a Steadfast unique.

Even if you're not setting your blaster out with set IOs, franken slotting (Or even just SOs/Generic IOs) your shields and Tough/Weave still goes a good way in increasing your survivability.
