"Geometry Buffers (VBOs) Enabled: Yes"
Probably not related, but I'd turn that off as it seems to solve other issues (from what I've heard on here).
Drivers came to mind too, but even with a new system that Defrag idea wouldn't hurt. Neither would a game repair. Goto Launcher, click the arrow next to the City, and choose Repair just in case you've got a damaged file. -
Not to mention the server resources necessary to handle Each transaction. Impliment as suggested and you Could end up with server lag everytime someone wants to start a TF, but half the toons desired are on the wrong server and they all attempt to transfer at the Same Time!
-
And if you don't pay long enough, doesn't the base itself become inaccessible?
-
Simple, unless you're prepaying an annual sub, don't sub a month, let account laps, resub. No wait, that's just character slots isn't it?
-
k, now you guys are starting to make me feel old because all that came to mind was:
"I am the Master of Quack-Fu!" -

Alas no, most of what I'd be editing would be old family/school film archives. I'd already done some using my laptop, but I think I'll use the newer system and redo all that. It's rather difficult to setup correctly because it's not all in NTSC format, but I purchased a universal VCR and a box that auto-adjusts formats whatever way I want. Unfortunately I really don't have the drive space for all that quite yet. I was hoping to see about putting the archives on bluray for presentation purposes and HDD for perma archiving.

Definitely weird considering the game has Nothing to do with DirectX. It uses OpenGL for graphics rendering.
-
I can't really explain it because it's an old bind, but it would be worth looking at the ingame network...thing. When I turn it on I get a running series of green/yellow/red bars that alternate in shape based on the connection between me and the game servers. Hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about and will guide you through it better, but I know that I'll get what looks like freezing when I see spikes of yellow/red.
As for your printouts, if it's feasible to add 1Gb of RAM to the system, then that'd smooth out performance a little, but weigh your costs. From what I've read before in other posts, you will probably want to turn OFF the Geometry Buffers. -
All I know is I got an image flash of the ROCK in my head with a deep voice belting "BFG" when I read the title.

Quote:Well not only this, but if I want to send stuff to say my SG, then it's just as annoying. The one thing I'd like to see is getting rid of the 15-second waiting period between sending e-mails to my own global. I understand the waiting period is there as a spam-fighting tool, but c'mon, I'm not gonna spam myself.
Either get rid of the delay or let us attach more than one item per mail. It takes a stupid long time when I want to e-mail a stack of salvage or enhancements from one character to another. -
So I'm not sure if it's just the fact that I'm reading NewEgg reviews or they're internals, but I've noticed alot of negative feedback on the barier breaking 3Tb drives. Does anybody have some real world experience with these? When I can afford it, would it be better to stick to a set of sub-2.2Tb drives? Any Current market suggestions?

Just to put it out there: *caughs*

I've heard of older characters having alt-specific code issues before. I'd file a ticket to see if they can't check it out just in case.
-
Everytime I've had the lines thing it was a sign of a bad GPU, but definitely test the other stuff first just in case.

Quote:Eh, atleast I got the Freedom broke things part right. :-pNo, you have a basic misunderstanding there. The badges that are now handed out as you buy your way up the rewards tree were given out EVERY THREE MONTHS as the 'Vet Badges'.
The ANNUAL badges were introduced with Issue 21 and relate to length of time subscribed ONLY. Unfortunately, the changes in the billing system for Freedom broke them. -
I guess it's hard to read that first post, but THIS is the link to the build as it stands. When I get around to it I'm going to reseat the heatsink with paste and using that double twist motion someone mentioned elsewhere to get rid of bubbles. I guess I was waiting to see if I really was going to get the aftermarket cooler, but things are so ($) tight now that a G-string could be considered outerwear. :-/

I was under the impression that the conversion to Freedom was essentially the End of Annual badges because of the way they are now handed out (IE: use token, get badge). There was talk about how to solve the transition period, but I don't remember hearing anything beyond that.
Going by the same line of thought, the stipend is in place to compensate for the slots giving you the Choice to have one or not. This being helpful for those who've maxed out their home server and have no need for more. Now if they would just give us a way to convert that free transfer slot...
Considering all the changes, I honestly think that they aught to just finish off the Annual badges with a one time Anniversary script (or whatever works like perhaps a new token slot that activates the badge) that would serve to represent the end of Annual badges. Considering the varied sub'd state of thousands of accounts, there's some obvious complexity here and likely a good bit of preparation and time involved (with the obvious resource issue). It's too bad we're passed the game's anniversary this year or they could align it with that. -
it should only take as long as your internet allows you to download about 3-4Gb of data, but I'm more than confident that it'll work.
-
meh, something I can actually answer :-p. As a test, I ran 7 instances simultaneously (all standing still and using the 5fps limitation) and the only thing I noticed was that the active window's FPS was sitting at what one would expect during a GFX heavy Trial. I've allocated 1Gb of RAM to the APU so it had plenty of memory to play with. I could have run more instances, but I ran out of logins. :-X I think I had everything set to the middle graphics setting.
oops, we're talking about a laptop...well if it shares system RAM and you have atleast 8Gb, then you should be fine I would think. -
Feedback == Always helpful for the next person who asks the same question.

Rule of thumb for the installer: let it start, close it, open launcher, push install to manually download, DON'T try to play until it's done!
-
something with a good processor, a GPU with atleast 1Gb RAM, atleast 8Gb of system RAM (that's pushing as a minimum), and the game/OS installed on an SSD. IE: Not $500 and Maybe $1k.
System RAM minimum Calc:
Win7 x64 ~ 1.5Gb
CoX per instance ~ 1.5Gb
----------------------------
Absolute Minimum ~ 7.5Gb
