Well.. No new actual content then.
I hate to do it (lies!) but... I told you so!
All the new content is going to be in Going Rogue... Which is a kick to the crotch of anyone who doesn't actually BUY Going Rogue for whatever reason.

Did you miss:
"Other features to be announced."

Actually my love for the game is blossoming again of late.

there is only one flaw in mothers theory about RP, not every RP character is made to group.(which is also the whole reason why this game is not made for solo play, to slow progress.)
[/ QUOTE ]
Mumsie wasn't talking about teaming - it was a note that RPers tend to RP in clusters of characters. I have yet to find any RP character who has never had a single IC interaction with another character. In fact, I have no idea how such a character could be considered an RP character at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
RP=role playing, means you play a specivic role with a character, whenever it is within a group or on your own.
also, mom did say grouping
[ QUOTE ]
Roleplay is a skill that is much more about the social setting and weaving a narrative in-groups.
[/ QUOTE ]
[/ QUOTE ]
Groups doesn't mean the mechanic of teaming up and doing missions, it just means a group of people who are also roleplaying, usually standing under GG or in Pocket D.
When I'm on a character I tend to keep in character but I really hate roleplaying in a static location so I tend not to join in with the group rp sessions. None of my characters would spend more than maybe half an hour with any of these groups because they're 'on the job' when I'm playing them, so they'll be off doing missions.
If someone talks to me then I'll reply in character most of the time unless it'll just make things awkward. -
AI overhaul so they don't just stand there 10 feet away from where you're beating up their friend and then act shocked and say stuff like "I wasn't expecting you!" when you then go and attack them.
More ways to generate random missions like the police radio, only most of them would have a full storyline attached, examples include finding clues on bad guys and a contact randomly calling you instead of the other way round.
More character creator options, and new body types such as bestial and four armed male and female categories.
Revamp of Croatoa, Boomtown and both starter areas to make them feel more dynamic, including more content.
Steal the idea behind CO's Nemesis system.
Access to Moon base area through Boomtown's new space shuttle feature.
Add in a randomly generated map feature to all randomly generated missions.
Add high level randomly generated missions to Portal Corp and the space shuttle so you can visit alternate realities and alien worlds.
Add 'rescue' missions, like catching falling airplanes, rescuing cats from trees, saving people from burning buildings by picking them up like an object, not the rubbish /follow thing they do now.
Oh yeah, speaking of that, I'd add a feature so you could pick the person you're supposed to be escorting to safety up instead of having to wait for them to follow you to the exit.
At least 20 new factions including more non-humanoid creatures and aliens.
At level 50, as you do more missions the world around you starts to reflect your popularity so that the signs currently used for ads will show your character advertising something or just in a pose. People would shout out "Look, it's heroname! Isn't he/she great?" Big name villains would try to hunt you down ending up with fights in the streets or in missions. -
What would be the point? This stuff would reduce the game's lifespan to a month at most, more likely a few hours once you've experienced everything it has to offer by cheating your way there.

Crikey, how many of THESE threads do we need now?
[/ QUOTE ]
As many as are needed
[/ QUOTE ]
Needed for what? Look, I agree that the leaving posts should have been in a single thread but the boat for that has sailed now. Making 2348320948320949 new threads complaining about the number of leaving threads is just stupid. -

I'm not going anywhere because I have a free sub until November.
I do still like the game, I'm just disappointed in the lack of big new gameplay mechanics and awesomeness.
I'm also disappointed in Posi's statement that he'd rather do TFs than arcs because the players can do arcs now. Sure we can, but we can't put new gameplay mechanics in them, only you guys can.
I hope I16 brings new, awesome stuff. -

Low level zones can't be too exotic - they're for junior Heroes
The early sones should be in the city, then as you become more powerful, you can go to other places.
[/ QUOTE ]
They can be as exotic as the devs want to make them. I don't mean that they could be all jungle or whatever, but something more interesting than red, brown and grey buildings would be nice. Steel Canyon looking like a proper bustling downtown would be a prime example. Millenium City looks way better than any of the city zones we have right now.
Also, there's no actual reason beyond you thinking it that players should only be in the city for their first 20 or so levels.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, it sort of makes sense if you're a new Hero that you wouldn't be sent to very dangerous places - I think your contacts would try and keep you within easy reach of help, and it's really only in the city that you'd get that kind of support.
A contact that'd send a new Hero to the moon, or the South American jungle, or the South Pole just as easily as they'd send them to an illegal rave a few blocks away wouldn't be a very responsible one
[/ QUOTE ]
Why does an exotic area need to be massively dangerous? Besides, they send everyone to the bloody Hollows at level 5, that area is a death trap.
Also, just because you start out at security level 1 doesn't mean that your character's concept is 'new hero'. -

See, the problem with adding new zones instead of revamping older ones is that players will first see the old, tired, crappy zones and won't bother sticking around to see these new zones which will presumably be level 15 plus.
They should revamp the old, lower level zones into new, exotic, shiny zones because that's where the playerbase spends most of its time. -

He's nearly naked?

Khorak gets a lot of doubletakes, since I think the Valkyrie belt works really well with the male 'Bare' option for legs. Boots, gauntlets, pain pads, helmet and the metallic equivalent of a loincloth are all he's wearing.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have a guy similarly dressed to that, Omicron King. He has jet black skin and is naked apart from the Valkyrie skirt and a crown.
I asked Morgana to design that one for me. only thing I asked for is that he looked imposing and had jet black skin. -

My position is 'potentially redundant' within the Brighton office, and at the current time I intend to accept voluntary redundancy. I'm not interested in living in the US.

Don't they have spiders the size of sheep there?

That made me lol for some reason. Think it's just the thought of that actually being true. I'd not go within 1000 miles if it was.

Uh... Me and Vox got to try TR at Omega Sektor, Avatea showed it to us...
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I and the other two people i was with were told there was no demo of TR, did you actually get to play it was that this Avatea persons own account?
Doesn't really matter though my original statement was to do with previewing upcoming titles, not old titles.
[/ QUOTE ]
It was on a trial account but we got to create our own character and play for as long as we wanted.
