What would be cool is if it ties into vet rewards. The more rewards you have ingame, the more stuff you get a discount on out of the game.

Does Maestro work with paypal? If so, that would seem to be the easiest option for those who want to continue playing.
I did have a quick look but it wasnt immediately clear which debit cards (if any) paypal supports.
I have used Paypal for a lot of payments in the last few years and haven't had any problems (touch wood).

Yes, they do. -

Well I appologise if the farming community at large has upset you. I on behalf of all of us say the most sincere sorry. If you ever get a tell from Lost Unit asking for a fill and you have 'No Filling' as your search comment, you will definatly get a 'oops didnt see your search comment, really sorry for bothering you, wont do it again'. If you are so kind as to accept my invitation you get a 'Thanks a lot guys for you time and help, much appreciated
'
As I say, not all farmers are the same.
[/ QUOTE ]
You could, instead of sending the request and apologising, just read the search comment and not send the request.
I don't really see why you would send a request if you're actively reading people's comments, unless you want to bother them. -

Geeks. -
Hrm.
I had figured that there was some kind of mistake and Death Badger was being impatient, but it appears that they have removed a rather significant payment option.
Well, both of my accounts are on auto-renew on a Switch/Maestro card, one of them is due to run out in October next year, one sooner than that.
If they haven't returned the option to use this card and the auto-renews fail and I still feel a little meh about the game, like I do now then I just might not renew it. -

Just to say, we're postponing it, a team of two means we're levelling faster than the other two and the whole point was to level together.
Hopefully the others will be sorted with their move (congrats) and programming will be returned to normal

Sorry guys, I have an interview on Friday and needed to sort some stuff out, forgot to log in to mention it. -

Nobody called you a moron and last I checked Stasis was trying to help. Chill.
Also, you can probably find game time cards in online stores. So you won't have to go rummaging around on the high street for one. I realise you said you can't be fussed with that - but buying online does take a lot of the hassle off.

I have been subsribing to this game in the same way since it came out of Beta in Europe. Why should I have to go hunting for other ways to pay in order to continue playing it? Shouldn't people who want to take your money from you make it simple? It's just another example of the terrible customer service that we get and seem to put up with. Its no biggie to me, I've signed up for a different MMO. I just find it disappointing that this sort of change is made without any information being given in advance, and someone who is supposed to be a community liaison (Ghost Raptor) has actually visited this thread but not commented. That and the fact that support stuck a metaphorical two fingers up to me have convinced me that COH don't seem to want subscribers. Luckily its a very competitive market so I can just choose other games to spend my money on.

Can't destroy them (not very heroic), can't coexist with them (faction wants to destroy Mankind)... thats looking from our point of view, look from the viewpoint of the Rikti;
The story needs to continue so,...
Time travel exists in the CoX Universe, so have the Rikti pull a Terminator-style venture, go back in time and pull off an alternate timeline..
They decide its too hard to invade in the present day with so many heroes and villains in existance so a battalion travels back to a depression crippled Paragon City in the 1930's
Cue map zones of 1930's pre-invasion Paragon:
WhiteSands, Eastgate suburbs before the Hollowing, the old Cityhall, skycrapers as partial wireframe etc, you could be visting a pre-franchise Icon surplus store to dress up Watchman-style, Some maps/zones could optionally be in Sepia.
Rikti battalion are set to destroy a fledgling Paragon City and follow through to the Isle of Praxidae and obliterate the Well of the Furies before Stephan and Marcus can reach it.
Without Statesman and Lord Recluse ever existing they can conquer this alternative world and construct a portal to bring the Rikti Race through to join them.
You as Heroes and Villains must ensure Marcus and Stephan survive long enough to realise their destinys and then join them along with the rest of the Freedom Phalanx, fighting alongside a 1930s Statesman, Maiden Justice, Elementar and The Dark Watcher in sending the Alien scum packing and securing a (slightly altered) timeline - but one that will at least have superpowered Heroes/Villains in it.
Since this will be the first time you actually get to visit the Isle of Praxidae and the fabled Well of the Furies, I would like you to be addressed by Megan, Alexis and Phoebe and the gift from the furies to you for successful completion of the Taskforce to be a vial of golden Nectar, this will open up the Incarnates powerpool for level Fifties.
The Tf is hard,....actually, scratch that - Its a frakkin nightmare.
[/ QUOTE ]
I want this just for 30s style costumes. -
[ QUOTE ]
Well i'll make it simple then.
In the scenario I envisage every peace loving Rikti has been killed. All that remains is the Rikti who want to wipe out out, every single last one is dedicated to wiping out humanity. They know it's not our fault, but they want us gone anyway. They won't ever stop, won't quit, won't give in. If we don't wipe them out humanity is doomed.
So is it then not heroic to defend yourself, save humanity? Or is it better to die?
[/ QUOTE ]
In my opinion, it's not heroic to commit genocide, whatever the reason.
There would be other options in this case anyway, like looking into a way of barring the Rikti from ever entering our reality again. -
[ QUOTE ]
2) We win the war and we are now on the Rikti homeworld, all new zones on that world, trying to destroy them completely.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's not very heroic. -

Fair play, and if GG did mean that, then fair enough, but a simple post of clarification could have solved that a few hours ago. Perhaps I over-reacted and for that I'm happy to apologise, but until GG clarifies things, I stand by my opinion.
[/ QUOTE ]
She said the villains are sick and disgusting. Which is kinda the point, since the game is called City of Villains.
But Villains != Players, so I honestly don't see what there is to clarify for GG. Seems clear enough to me...
I sure didn't feel insulted, even though I mainly play CoV (and I also think Phipps' story-arcs are among the best in CoV for all the reasons stated above)
[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly. I think should people need to work on their reading comprehension skills.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ditto.
My villains are horrendously bad people. -

Heheh. Well, if that had been what they really were, companies wouldn't be giving them out. They're loyality schemes, and companies use them because they really, truly do affect the way consumers (that's "people" to us non marketoids) spend their money. It's a bit like advertisements -- everybody say they're not affected by advertisements, and yet advertisements work.
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe i worded the last one badly, Tesco Club cards are great in a small sort of way, but they are not the reason i shop at Tesco.
Nor would they be enough to keep me shopping at Tesco, if they suddenly for example "nerfed" the hygene in Tesco.
In other words when im sick of this game, im off, regardless of rewards.
[/ QUOTE ]
You could say the exact same thing about any aspect of the game.
It's not like you'll be sticking around because of the costume creator updates is it? Or the storyline? Or to see what new zones they'll put it?
This is the point I have when I say that the updates aren't really free. They're an addition to the game like everything else that's been added to it since the beginning. I pay to play a game that's constantly updated. If it wasn't updated then I wouldn't subscribe to it once I got sick of doing the same thing over and over.
I played Assassin's Creed and now I've seen everything in it I wouldn't pay a fee to keep playing it over and over, but if it was constantly updated I might. -
[ QUOTE ]
Honestly the Devs are in a no-win situation with vet rewards. Make them too good and they alienate the people years away from getting them, make them too poor and they alienate the vets. Tbh I think these are fine - isn't one of the previous vet rewards just a respec and nothing else? (45 months?)
Personally I think vet rewards should just be tokens that you can cash-in for different rewards from a list/pool - then they could just keep adding rewards to the list/pool, but anyone could get anything specific they wanted with a few tokens.
Either way I can't really say it bothers me - it's a free bonus that the Devs didn't have to give us.
[/ QUOTE ]
You could say that last part about every update of the game since it began though. Just because you don't pay extra for it, doesn't mean it's free. -
[ QUOTE ]
You know, before they introduced the vet reward system, I don't recall people demanding free stuff every few months - but once they started giving us free stuff every few months, some people started demanding more free stuff every few months
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, some of us don't consider it free seeing as you need to pay them money to be able to access them.
But that's another argument for another time, don't really feel like going over it again. -
[ QUOTE ]
Quick Reply.
Most posts here feels like this=
Waaah... I get free(someone will probably say it's not free since we pay on a monthly basis) stuff and I want to complain! *rolls on the ground crying*
Honestly... Anyone need a diaper change?
Maybe an icecream to make you forget that bruised knee? A nap perhaps? *pinches babycheek*
[/ QUOTE ]
That's seriously unnecessary and inflammatory.
Just because people don't like it and think it's a lame reward doesn't mean they're acting childish. -

Here's a little lyric remix of the Black Eyed Peas classic "Where Is The Love"...called "Where Is The Trainer!"

I hope you enjoyed our little dulge into the true CoX, by song.
I couldn't make it a recorded song because of this:

Examples of the kind of things that don't qualify are re-touching or modifying artwork created by someone else, or recording a version of a popular song with modified lyrics.

You see there? Anyway, hope you enjoyed it.
Edit: Fixed a tiny typo!
[/ QUOTE ]
Well this counts as modifying artwork (lyrics) created by somebody else, so it doesn't qualify anyway. -

My favourite level 50 ding was Fire Guardian's. He'd taken so long to level, and we finally got enough people together to do the Praetorian arc - although, in true FG style, he dinged off of one of Dominatrix's gimps.

It wasn't even my arrest, it was Quilty's.And sadly, even though I have the Praetorian arc on my level 47 blaster now, nobody's interested in doing it.

OH! Benn Zinn would have Benzin by Rammstein.
I didn't name him after it or anything...
Along the same lines, Astroblaster would have Astroblaster by Caustic Window. -
I have never seen attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion or C-beams glittering in the dark by the Tannhauser Gate.

They sound like a bunch of chimps throwing a tantrum.
Down With The Sickness is the cheesiest, most silly song I've ever heard in me life.

This is your opinion of course and you're entitled to that, however i know many people that would say your opinion on this is total [Censored], however this thread is for posting what is your heroes/villains theme tune NOT to slag off certain bands that you do not like. Keep on topic and bad opinions to yourself if you please
[/ QUOTE ]
No opinion is a bad opinion and as it's a public discussion I figured I'd thrown mine in. Other people posted "great band" or "great song" so why should I say the opposite?
I know many people who agree with me, good for both of us eh?
