Got 6 shards in the LGTF....and then 8 in the treespec. And that one was all of 30 min of blazing through everything on the maps. So random.


Thinking of Faathim next week. Haven't done it in awhile; would bring a troller or MM. Would there be interest in a non-component TF that would probably take 2 hours though?

Clockwork are our friends. More chance for shards. More chance for purples. More set up time. More organization. Less annoying. Etc etc etc.

Thinking same time this coming Friday (21st). Slightly different approach (Hacker will not be on the table), but bring the same toys. The more debuff we have, the higher the chances of success, and flying is still encouraged.

First, I know I'm new here ......but I'm aware of what's available to be used. This particular method I wanted to try, in a perfect world, would have 100% of everyone phased from mines and let the pets do all the work (killing, triggering, etc). Timing is key and wanted to see if a not-so-perfect set up could accomplish it. That's why I post for TFs and broadcast and don't rely on only a handful of people.

It seemed viable; once they were aggro'd, the AV's HP dropped to about 30% like nothing. His posse running around deterred the pets some but without everyone being phased, the chances of mine triggering just cascaded. There are one or two sections that appeared to be completely void of any mines while flying. Relying on Defense is subject to the RNG gods as always and you just have to kill "fast enough". I think more HVACS would have done better being more hardy overall.

2nd attempt, we recalled outside after the glowies and buffed up with pets (but not as many as the first attempt)......not sure what happened though. He did run but I don't think anyone chased him out of the area. When he decided to come back, he dropped pretty quick. I don't recall seeing any mine messages for myself and no one seemed to have been hit at all. We probably didn't drop him "fast enough" even though he really didn't last long; our only debuff was Shamster's traps and they aren't anything to write home about The Cold I was promised was, as usual, a let down.

Our only death on the 2nd run was about 30 seconds from the end where SOMEONE just gave up the ghost like he just didn't care anymore.

Never gotten a "master of" on the first attempt that I was actually trying for before, so I don't see any reason to start

I did like the recalling out more than the "rush in and let pets run willy nilly". Just needed more debuff like I originally listed; tank, brute, FF troller, scrapper, emp, FF defender, blaster, and Shamster.

The badge isn't individual AFAIK; if anyone on the team gets tickled by a bomb blast, no one gets the badge. So it really doesn't matter what you are.

I'll hold a spot for you just in case. But you must be alpha slotted. Having a shivan is more than encouraged, as well as the other things I pointed out for this particular approach.

That's the other approach, but the "no mines in sight" was a fluke of some kind depending on when you did this IMO.

And since the glowie badge is required as well, leaving 1 person out really cuts down on the success. But this is the "cheese" method I want to try for the hell of it.

Hrm, yeah didn't specify that a slotted Alpha is also required.

Would like to get this "Master Of" out of the way. It has 4 requirements, 1 being more challenging than most others IMO.

The last 2 are easy and don't require anything special. Hacker requires the team to be organized (one person can easily ruin this for everyone if they do not listen). Dodger requires finesse, high defense, cheese or some combination thereof.

For this, I would like to do high defense and cheese.
* Shivans are required. Any other damage pet is helpful if it is available to you. The more pets, the easier time we'll have.
* Warburg Bio nuke is highly encouraged. Again, the more we have, the easier the time.
* Phase power is highly encouraged. Ethreal Shift is fairly cheap. The more AoE defense we have, the less need for this. I'll be using one just so I know I didn't get tripmine'd, ruining the badge for everyone else.
* Flight is nice to have for this approach. Temp flight packs are cheap.

Strategy should be obvious, but will go over it before starting.

1 Me - Scrapper badger
2 Penny - Emp (99.999999% sure)
3 Mental - Cold
4 Cold/FF/Veat
5 Buff/Damage/Veat
6 Debuff/Damage (Holding spot for Hew's brute)
7 Shamster - Traps MM
8 Kobolt - Brute
