Quote:Ya know, I had something mean-esque to say about one or two of those guys, but thought better of it.Happy Anniversary Positron!
And if you guys talk to Jack Emmertt or Rick Dakan or any of those guys tell them Happy Anniversary as well!
I'm still damn curious to see an Org chart of who all has had their mitts in this mess we call CoH, seeing who's left, who replaced who, who use to do what but is now mopping floors. It would be a mind trip to see all those criss-crossing lines -

Quote:Was just odd; pretty sure I was first to zone in both times (Patient V, like usual /e flex2) and watched the league star pop on over to you.I had noticed the lag before, but last night was the first time my character ever stopped dead from lag. It was unbelievable.
BTW, sorry I kept stealing the star!
Mainly concerned about people DCing and coming back and getting them back on a team. If someone doesn't know they have the big star or aren't watching all the league teams, it can be annoying for the person in exile. Those BAF runs put a wallop on several people that way throughout. -
Interesting night. Was going to run with just 4, but then magically filled. 30 min for killing most (why the hell not?) and people got Notices. That'll be abused; realistically only takes about 15 min. Oh and this time there was a vine counter.
BAF lag really really really sucks. Escapee portion seems longer than it needs to be now and more "stressful". 2 runs and only 1 escaped, but felt damn lucky that's all it was. Timing for Pretty badge was off by a few seconds, but pulled it off with the last run.

Becareful with the new conversion options, especially for Rares and VR. Speaking of VR, I got one! And then 2 uncommons on the same character. Random indeed.
Oh and Shamster was back -
Mostly thumbs up
Thumbs DOWN to people who beg and plead "invite me!", join, and then run for the hills immediately.
Ok, it's just one person. Thumbs down to that one guy. -

Will be looking to start or join iTrials afterwards. Will be looking to push for BAF with only 2 teams if necessary. -
Fired off an Ion on a group of 3 level 24 Warriors.
I had 9 damage attacks reported.
Anyone herd up more then the 3 needed groups in BAF? >.> -
Quote:Kind of waiting to see if they put the other respecs up as WST; I think they only have up to next week listed so far. Can decide later on.Good run all around. Got another slot unlocked on the widow, 2 more to go.
Should be on for treespec. Any chance 3rd one too?
Speaking of Treespecs....did they change the vine stuff? Did the 2nd treespec last week, and haven't done a real one in a very long time; there was no vine counter, and I'm pretty sure the nav window never changed from "break through somethingsomething and take the nexus". Last time I did one, you *had* to take out the vines and then the Tree exactly like the STF mission is. It almost seemed like we could have just tackled the Tree and ignored everything else. *shrug* -
There is more behind it to give incentive to both employers and people applying in the form of some contest. Not sure of the sensibility of actually making and giving wearable capes, but the campaign is using "cape-a-bility" as a slogan. Overall, I think some committee of people behind this tried too hard to be "creative".

Ya know, I kind of feel bad with, I'm sure, all the time they put into Sutter and it's seemingly such a quick TF. I've done it a whopping two times now, but it certainly plays more like a trial than any other TF out there. Certainly not a bad thing; it's hectic, fast paced, and pretty fun overall. I couldn't really tell much of a "story", but I don't mind. I guess Mortimer got all the pretty words while Sutter got all the fun stuff
Some really good BAF run afterwards. Only hiccup was somehow someone got invited to the league (and I swear I did not do it!!) who was both AFK and sub-50. Wasted some time waiting on them to respond to tells and zone in. Still not sure how that happened.
I'll be looking to do the first treespec next week at least.
Edit: Oh, and yeah, Ion is pretty fun. The first week or so I was mostly in melee, so never really saw the actual power going off. Played the blaster and now the troller from range, so can now see the full effect with the troller. And yeah, it's definitely broken -
Quote:Really................Speed runs are the best way to do BAF, even if you want iXP. The extra threads you get doing multi runs in the same time it takes you to farm NS and Siege over and over again makes it absolutely stupid to farm them. Every thread you turn in for iXP is worth 50K.

Doing this with characters without Lore/Destiny levels?
I think a lot of people are already use to running these with a bunch of already slotted up characters. -
I'll do a Sutter this coming week. But will focus on iTrials afterwards. Having pre-formed teams for these seems to work out alright if you're so inclined. Finding it very difficult to find people to share a nice, warm Baf with me though

I must be confused. You guys keep talking about Lambda, right?
The only jacking during a cutscene I've seen is during the BAF one
(I have never claimed to be funny or original. Can we stop calling it jacking now?) -
I will take all of these words of advice in the hopes of one day when I can look forward to people thinking enough of me to allow me to try to lead any of these down the path of utter frustration and ultimate failure. Wait, I mispelled success :S
KT, please play with me. How may I tempt you back to this game? -
Quote:It will only cause a problem if someone doesn't get out of the way fast enough/gets AV aggro. Since they are so close to the door, the AV could actually leave the area. That causes an immediate failure of the Trial. The ones I just ran we split into teams. And the first team done got to be in the cut scene.
Didn't seem to cause any problems.
;shrug
The point of that stipulation is so people don't pull the AV outside, giving X amount of buffer room around from all the mobs/portal spawns.
Being in a cutscene isn't the issue per se. Though certainly reeks of "been done to death". As for however many people aren't helping the rest of the league is just annoying on top of it. -
I'll chime in and say it's been happening more frequently for me as well; first noticed it with I19. I use shift+lbutton for various location powers (earthquake, water spout to name a couple) and many times the mouse movement freezes in-game and I literally have to shake it before it'll move again and even then, activating the power in a working range (white reticle) won't always fire off. If I let go of shift or queue out of the power activation, the mouse operates normally (run of the mill wired optical mouse).
I've seen it in regular mission maps, in zones, on the trials. Surface type doesn't seem to matter, and I never see an "invalid location" message. It takes multiple mouse clicks to get the power to fire off or a bunch of mouse gesturing before it lets me. -
Quote:So the same mechanic as the BAF and the ambush spawn door; with the inevitable last Acid temp power mysteriously not had by anyone in the leagueThey actually do come out of the portals and run over to Marauder. The horrifying problem is that if you aggro them even when they're across the map, you will aggro Marauder. If the team is trying to destroy a canister to get another acid, things can go wrong quickly if one of the reinforcement mobs runs through that area.
This also works on the BAF. You can aggro and pull both Nightstar and Siege by attacking the reinforcements as they run across the compound., split the teams to camp one portal (preferrably a decent ways away from the AV and restock spawns) while the rest of the people whittle way or at least keep the Big Dawg occupied for as long as you want.
In theory anyway. I'm sure it's already been done to death in practice.
Can also really milk the mobs from the temp power maps as well but most go for the extra Astral merit. -
But I have feelings
I'm more offended that there is an advertisement that big at street level.
I'm more offended that the article states that the "staff" was *shocked"; using buzz words is cool. How many people work there exactly?
I'm more offended that the good chancellor, the champion of the people, is quoted as saying "people will be offended"; not "some" people, or even hinting at the possibility that there might be a slight chance of offense taken.
I'm more offended that the area is only now getting to see "The Walking Dead"
I'm more offended that the article claims the show is a production of this "Channel 5" station; is this normal?
I'm more offended that I sound like I'm actually offended and not just pointing out bad reporting for a fluff article.
I do hope someone gets fired, somewhere, because of this. -

Regarding Lambda and the Portals - Do the mobs spawn right there or do they aggro with the AV (or vice versa)?
Have only been doing the normal route for this of clearing portals ASAP. Curious if the mobs could be farmed if you only keep X number of portals opened, for fun once in awhile.
