How come you don't have a superhero name?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because his most famous creation is a villain. If he ever gets a forum name, it needs to be a villain

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Is Capt. Mako taken?

Man, another writer. Jeas, I wish I could program...and write well..

O.O I just realized I never finished helping someone with a Tech Origin Illusion/Fire Background >_< Jeas....

    Anyway.

    A) What server do you play on?

    B) Who would win in a fight, Blue Steel or God? Consider your answer carefully.

  4. Ashni versus Nazis

    Ashni versus Positron
This second picture requires a bit of explanation. My friend in the red armor that you can see under Ashni's foot had a really rough 6 hour Positron Task Force with some ...interesting players...so I took this to make my friend feel better.

Jyoti, face to face, with Faathim

    I am Jyoti

    Mender Avaruia
I like this last one the best.
  5. As a wanna be writer, I have to ask, where do you, as a writer, draw your inspiration from for the stories?

As a player. will we ever get to see more on the formation on the Omega Squad or anything along those lines?

    Thanks in advance.

maybe energy blasters should have a real laser beam as a signature, and i mean a big one. Kinda like..

Damage arc: equivalent of energy torrent

    Damage type: Energy/smashing uh

    Damage: superior

The user charges up (like a assassin strike) and then shoots a huge beam of energy over the next 5 sec, all foes within the path of it take superior damage over time and are moderately disorientated. Easily interruptible. Recharge long

animation: a longer, larger, more energy like, blue and white fire blaster snipe animation.

this is debatable but its just an idea.

    _Enos_ wants NAO!...plz.
  7. that IS pretty cool....

but jeas....could you imagen the lag?

i mean, it might be nice for the people who have the accolade but still enjoy participating in the invasions. But if people are scattered in the zone attacking the "vandals"...ugh...

But...it could be implimented that AFTER the rikti are defeated, several Hot Spots, like in Siren's Call, start popping up all over the invaded zone where looters, i.e, the gangs: Trolls, Skulls, Hellions, etc., with the same GM-esque code that the Rikti have could be fighting the Paragon Police Department and random detachments of Longbow.

Cooling off the hotspots might be fun.

Will my level 50s be able to go to Meg Mason and do some of the radio mishes? I think that would be kind of cool so we actually have a reason to revisit the zone in the future. I mean, come on, who wouldn't love the unadulterated thrill of excessive use of force on level 50 Hellions and Skulls.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I'd enjoy beating up level 40+ Hellions and Skulls ... but I doubt the Devs would do it. Part of the reason may be related to game design.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It would be kind of cool to deal with a larger thug problem.

I mean, heck, they could make an issue out of it where gang fights randomly break out over Paragon.

The thugs, feeling like the heroes and such are paying attention to larger threats, such as the Rikti and such that they see this as their time to strike. Huge Gangwars all over the Isles and Paragon City. Would be freakin sweet.
  9. What I am really interested in is Meg Mason.

The zone revamp is nice and not unwelcome, but with the ease of gaining temp powers, and, in my opinion, one of the most welcoming games I've played, people can quickly learn about those temp powers instead of being "force" into the Hollows. But, that implies people aren't afraid to ask a question and that goes into a whole lot of things that aren't important to what I'm talking about.

What I'm interested in is Meg Mason.

Remember those Bone Daddy's who gave you such a hassel at level 10? Face a level 50 Bone Daddy when you have Total Focus! or Headsplitter! or other awesome upper level powers. Imagen nuking a group of Hellions and actually getting XP for it instead of thrilling in an abuse of your abilities.

Just sayin it would be kinda cool if we could work with/for/on Meg Mason at higher levels. I mean, what, Back Alley Brawler is a "level 50" and he still fights thugs....why can't we?
  10. QR

    /signed again btw.

And this would be a great idea to introduce after "The Coming Storm" Issue.

The whole thing would be like this.

"As the Storm thunders and rains over all of us, there are those who have found more creative ways to fight back. Diving deep into their abilities and personality, sprinkle on some genius and you now have your Umbrella against the Storm! Signature Powers are here!"

Insert sexy theatrical trailer where Statesman and everyone else is getting pwn'd by the coming storm and a whole bunch of famous Forum-ites and such just run up and pimp smack the storm with their signature powers.

And I mean Pimpsmack. I wanna hear a loud "SMACK!" on the screen.

Afterwards, everyone has pie and then it fades into the black screen and says

    "Issue 13: Awesome"
  11. Just gotta say.
    ultimus
this idea is made of win.
Like win on a global scale.

I already thought of my power to.
Whirling hands animation. Thunderous Blast effect animation.
Moderate-High damage, Stun, One Time Knockdown. 20 ft PBAoE

    mmmm....
    hehehe

So, i'm trying to come up with ideas for my future controller, a Fire/Sonic/Ice, so I figure'd I'd check out this guide.

...totally noticed my name in there.

So, this guide is automatically made of win and I enjoyed it that much more.
  13. Invention Origins might make you NOT hate frozen aura anymore.
Because with Call of the Sandman, as I believe it's called, you might be able to heal yourself.
go to ParagonWiki and look up Invention Origins.
  14. First, just wanted to say thanks for the mention. Nice to know people are actually reading what I post.

Second, awesome guide. I plan to re-read it again because I finally started my own Fire/Storm and I am going to try a few things with it cause I like experimenting with my builds. ((I was doing Illusion/Trick Arrow before it became popular! Before the changes! ))
  15. Great Guide.
I have an Ice/Elec who i am always toying with. Sometimes my build doesn't have enough damage (i.e. now), sometimes not enough endurance. There always seems to be something that needs fixing and your guide is helping a lot.

I am only lvl 27 so I can't be making too many statements but right now, Ice Storm is anoying. Does it get better with Blizzard?

Just wanted to say Great Guide though.

  17. Name: The Firing Squad

Shard: City of Heroes/City of Villains (either or)

Overall Theme(s): Assault Rifle, Assault Rifle, Assault Rifle

Backstory: Sick of watching all the villians run rampant outside of the Brickstown jail walls, one of Paragon City's most elite yet most violent officers chose to band together with their BFGs to take a healthy dose of lead to the criminals who run amuck.

Group Make-up: Either one */Sonic Controller or Sonic/* Defender as the leader who shouts the orders to fire. Would be best if the Controller/Defender had non elemental powers but that is not mandatory. (Tech suit?) Leader would dabble in the leadership pools and the medcine pools since everyone else is:
    AR/* Blasters.
Tech or Natural Origins would be best.

    Combat Strategy and Power Combinations:
    Pretty simple I'd assume.
AR unloads while the defender/controller debuffs. The Sonic Shields can really make a difference on incoming damage and if they the controller decides to go...say....Mind Control, Mass Hypnosis is a good openner before AR unloads with all their Cones.

Costume, Names, and Other Design Issues:
As the backstory suggests, make them look officer-ish. But make them look...offical. Blue is always a good officer color. Try to stay away from being "dark and angsty" officers, so black and such is generally not a good idea. Blue is generally the way to go. Make them look standard too. Not flashy. They are cops first and foremost, hard gritty cops. Not fashion models.
Names? Officer "insert a last name here (not you're own)"

    Haha, love it.
    Great guide.
I've been toying with the idea of an Invuln/Ice for the sheer insanity of everything, (that an Invincible and Ice Patch might make for some fun. ) So, I read this guide and felt I learned a lot (kinda cheesy, but didn't have anything witty )
    Kudos!
  19. Hey
Just got my account reactivated recently and never got the chance to thank you for putting my name up there.
It is the first thing I've really contributed to the forums.
