    All I said was that I read somewhere that it was SUPPOSED to go to Tankers. Which is obviously correct...thanks to some searching from Coldmed.

    I never said it was promised for Tanks.


    However, none of this matters as I have came to the conclussion, with help from others, that my ideas were completely off base and only based on my sense and experience of Tanks and Brutes...which has been stated as being a false sense.

    There is no more need for this thread.

    No it's not that. I just made the mistake of basing my suggestions off the fact that I (being a long time Tank) would choose a Brute over a Tank.

    I love Tanks...but after playing the same exact character as a Tank and as a Brute...I think that Brutes are "better".

    I was clearly wrong...as I have been told many times...in the sense that there will be a lot of people who don't think like me...meaning there will still be a lot of people who will prefer the Tank over the Brute.

    It's not that I don't like Tanks.


    Also, I know...now...that my suggestions and ideas were wrong/not needed...so basically there is no more need for this thread.

    I never really suggest anything...but this whole GR thing has me deciding between Tanks and Brutes and I have been trying to get more information while also suggesting somethings.

    It's just that my mains concept fits with a Tank or a Brute...which led to me overthinking what I want...which led to me suggesting ideas that were way off base...I'm sorry.

    I was biased for thinking of them...but I suggested them because "I thought" they would help the game out as a whole.

    Clearly my ideas have been proven to be unbalancing and game breaking...but they were, nonetheless, still ideas and suggestions.

    I'll admit, I'm ignorant to the exact mechanic for game balance and I am basing these on my own expeirences. I post my suggestions in hopes that you will agree with me or at least show me why it wouldnt work.

    If I lose credibility for suggesting ideas...so be it.

    Ok...you guys/gals are clearly against my suggestion and seemingly against me personally.

    ...but you have to admit my line of thinking is not that far of a stretch...

    You have Brutes that can "potentially" get up to Tanker levels of survivabilty...and then you have Tanks that cannot get close to Brute level damage.

    That's where my thought process is coming from.

    I understand now...after several threads (I apologize)...that I'm completely off base.

    So I guess I'm just going to stick with my Brute.

    The actual reason I started this thread is because I'm trying to think of ideas that would make me play a Tank over a Brute.

    It's not hard...it's boring and monotonous.

    I'll admit...this is based on my experience and my opinion.

    As I stated before...your either fighting low level enemies that make your damage look nice but you will never worry about dying...or your fighting such high level enemies so that you will have to worry about dying but then your damage is so "low".

    My experience is what made me think of this suggestion.

    Tanks are fun as hell while teaming...but when I solo it is too boring.

    I was actually thinking 40mph would be good enough myself. I usually build for 49mph or higher...but I'm trying to break the habbit of building for run speed so that my builds are more efficient.

    I know that people are going to be against me on this...and if data mining comes out to prove me wrong then thats great but...

    Myself, being a long time Tanker...my main and my first 50...I will be re-rolling my main into a Brute when GR comes out.

    I truly believe that the Tanker numbers will drop once GR comes out...but I also know that there will still be some Tankers around...but you have to be kidding yourself if you think that Tanker numbers will be as high as they are now.

    I'm just trying to think of ideas that would keep me from re-rolling into a Brute.

    Tankers are meant to be the 'draw all the enemies because you can take all the damage'. They have relatively lower melee damage than say a Scrapper but not all that much. Tanks are able to solo well even if it takes a while longer to take down mobs.

    I may just be one person, but I feel Tanks are already quite solo-friendly if you slot their attacks with accuracy to get the most damage out of their attacks as possible.
    My main problem with Tankers solo is that there seems to be no middle ground.
    Your either soloing low level stuff...which makes your damage seem nice but your basically never worrying about staying alive...but if you up your difficulty to the point where you have to actually kill things to stay alive your damage is just way too slow.

    Ok...hear me out...

    It effort to make Tanks more "solo friendly"...I have proposed many damage boost ideas.
    However, I have came to the conclusion that they don't really "need" more damage output.

    I propose that they give Tanks "Fury"...just not as potent as Brute Fury.

    In order to keep balance...make 100% "Fury" equal a 50% damage bonus. (I have not ran any number's so I'm not sure if that's too much of an bonus or not)

    The Fury mechanic makes soloing much more fun, in my opinion.

    You could keep the Gauntlet effects on top of Fury.



    Would 100% Fury equalling a 50% damage bonus for Tankers be too unbalanced?


    Edit: Even if it is a little bonus...people will still try and keep it full.
    This will help greatly when teaming, as the Tank will always try to generate as much aggro as possible and soloing a Tank would actually be fun.

    I try and get a kismet +acc early on for my character which is great for the leveling.

    How much is this needed after you IO your build?

    Does anyone slot the kismet and take Focused Accuracy?

    Will I be good with just FA post level 40?
