For the longest time I've been waiting for GR to come out so I could fully realize my complete concept build...my WP/SS Tanker was going to become a SS/WP Brute.
However, this was all based on having Super Strength on a high damaging AT.
I was about to re-sub right when GR came out and then I read about the changes to Brutes and Fury...basically lowering their damage.
Although most people never stay at the damage cap...the lowered cap really hurts my "want" to play this character.
How does this effect the ATs top level ability?
Can you still solo AV's?
What exactly does this change do to the AT overall? -
Basically...the change to Fitness will only help my character, right?
If I level my character to 50 right now (the character already has Fitness)...the i19 change will only mean that character is basically getting 3 new powers? -

Quote:Their take on doomsday was good...their execution was terrible. It's funny because all they really needed to do was have a badass fight between the two in the finale and the whole season would have been salvaged for some.I also think in some ways their take on Doomsday was better than the comics. It was much more interesting to have Doomsday be the son of Zod and Ursa sent to Earth with a different agenda than Kal-El.
Smallville is and will always be one of my favorite shows...but they definitely screwed that finale up. -
Quote:Braniac was and is not a bad villain for the show. James Marsters is a badass actor.Ummmm dont I recall seeing interviews with Welling early on in the series that he was opposed to ever wearing the blue suit, and totally didnt want to by type cast by doing the movies? And now he is saying he always wanted to it just wasnt that easy? Really? Why not did he forget how to sign his name on a contract?
Im sure i will watch as its the last season and i stuck with it this far, but i am really not hopeful. We get these kinda things every year about things to be excited about. I guess i can hope that they finally live up to the potential being the last season, but Darkseid via smallville is going to suck balls. Just like every signature villian via smallville has sucked.
And from the clips theyhave shown im either gonna have to get some sun glasses or make a new setting on TV with color adjusting just for smallville cause it looks like the orange/bronze tinting they started in the last couple years is even worse then ever. -
Quote:Many references to the coming "apokolips".I didn't follow the discussion here at all, most the last season seemed really scatterbrained and often nonsensical, and I'm trying now to remember things that would imply Darkseid being involved, or coming in any way, and am drawing a total blank...
Now... to watch those videos...
The scene showing granny goodness.
Green Arrow commenting on how the things attacking him are not kandorians. -
Yeah, once you get Footstomp you should be good. Not Scrapper good of course...but good nonetheless.
When I solo...I target the boss...move in...Footstomp...single target attack the boss inbetween footstomps. -
Quote:Yeah, if I had such a great build...and I PvPed...I would want to share my build. I would want to fight others with the same exact build because I would want to be the best player behind that build...not the best player because I have such a highly secret build. An interesting question. I've never understood the need for secrecy personally. Anyone willing to theory craft is perfectly capable of coming up with a similar build that is performing above the norm. The whole idea of being 'unique' is purely selfish in nature, and more often than not, is also unattainable.

I would give my build out to whoever wanted my advice.
The people who guard their builds are pathetic and take their builds and this game way too seriously.
If I offended you...I don't care...because guarding your build is ridiculous. -
Quote:It's definitely good to be cautious...but I'm talking about cowering in fear. There was this one superman comic that was set when he first debuted as superman. He had to go into a volcano and tunnel some rock so that it didn't explode. He didn't know if the lava would kill him and remarks to Johnathan that he is always worried about 'will this next thing be able to hurt me / kill me?' , so yes it seems viable for an invulnerable character to think that way. It's when they stop thinking that way that they get over confident.
Big difference. -
For me...it's always WP.
I've loved the set since it came out...however, the only reason I will always choose it over Invuln is the fear protection.
It's such a small thing...but I cannot stand being this nigh-unkillable tanker that cowers in fear. It's absurd to think that someone who is Invulnerable would be scared of anything. -
For the person who took offense to my previous post...I was just adding to what Umbral had said..."I would like to reduce the radius on Footstomp to boot, but, honestly, I doubt that would happen, even if there was a good deal of justification for it (like the AoE area formula) simply because of player backlash (though I would hope the buff to the set elsewhere would make up for that)."
I was just trying to bring home the fact that to some...nothing could "justify" the radius change.
I apologize for offending who ever I offended. -
I can definitely say...in my opinion...there is nothing you could do to the set to "justify"(again, only in my opinion) lowering the radius of Footstomp.

Have to ask.
Someone mentioned how they might be doubling the recharge of SC.
How does it get this far when it's "supposedly" that broken. -
For Footstomp...I shoot for under 8s with IO's.
I six slot Rage with a full Guassian set. -
No need for that. I was really just curious as to why it was such a bad question but I guess I could have searched more on the topic thats my bad.
-
Wow...negative rep for what I thought was a legitimate question.
No mercy on these forums haha. -
I think you're crazy for letting this get to you.
...but the other player was ridiculous. -

Quote:Well...I enjoyed CoH...not so much anymore. However, I know...probably for a fact...that if they ever did come out with CoH 2...I would definitely play it...no doubt about it.If you don't enjoy CoH, why would it matter whether things transfer over? If you do enjoy CoH, why let your subscription lapse? If you have no choice but to let your subscription lapse for financial reasons, why ask the question?
I love the CoH lore...so if things transferred over, such as vet rewards and what not...then I see good reason to keep my account active.
However, as people have posted...there is no info on CoH 2. -
-
Is there any information about this?
Would keeping my City of Heroes account active until this comes out...if it ever does...be a good thing? -
Quote:It's not the fact that you can take a travel power at level 6 that intrigues me./sarcasm
WAIT!! You mean that as a 60+ month vet I get to skip pre-req powers and take fly, SS, SJ or Teleport immediately at lvl 6??
/unsarcasm
Well, truth be told, I've made quite a few toons in the months since reaching 60 month vet and I have yet to take a travel power at lvl 6. As others have said, it's not that big a deal. But don't step on us Vets that have been around this long. It's not our fault you didn't realize how good this game is years ago like we did. Or for those others that for reasons beyond their control (for example: they were too young or without computer/ internet access), good things come to those who wait.
Even if I had this vet reward, I would still take Fly in the 30s.
It's the fact that you no longer need to take a prerequisite power in order to select the said travel power.
I think that is awesome. It would "completely" change my build. -
Quote:It's a build changing perk.Anyways, it's not a huge bonus really anyways. I doubt it is even worth 10 dollars, since there are so many uses to the pre-req powers anyways.
Again, I completely see why it's a bad suggestion. I just really don't see myself still playing this game 3 more years.
