Yeah, I would definitely go with Energy and play it off as having "energy gauntlets". I would also pick a good costume option to fit the concept.

Quote:I would go with a blaster if I wanted to do better damage...and I would go with the corruptor if I wanted more support.Hey all,
Recently I've been itching to create a winged "hover blaster" kind of character but I'm a bit torn on if it should be a Corruptor or a Blaster and I'd like to hear your opinion.
A blaster is (for me) the AT that first comes in mind for the concept of raining fiery death from above but to be honest their secondaries are not all that interesting to me, while corruptors have some seriously cool secondaries (but lower damage?)
What would you do? Some recomdations for power sets are also welcomed -
This is why I run my own teams. If you don't like knockback...you don't have to join.
"Please stop the knockback...the more mobs surrounding me fuels my regen"
This came from a WP scrapper.
Here is the thing...taunt aura's like RttC and Invincible are designed for you to handle more mobs on a progressive basis. Meaning that...if one mob is attacking you...your bonus helps you deal with that mob. If two mobs surround you...your bonus helps you deal with those mobs...if 10 mobs surround you...your bonus helps you deal with those mobs.
The thing that people overlook...is that knocked back mobs are not attacking you...meaning that the "loss" in the bonus your taunt aura is receiving is meaningless...since you still get the bonus from the current mobs still by you, attacking you.
The ONLY reason people hate knockback...is because it "hurts" their AoE damage potential.
I absolutely love knockback...and I even slot knockback into my Super Strength punches so that it actually knocks back mobs.
Disclaimer: I would not be against Solar Flare getting the Footstomp treatment. As I said...the only reason people hate knockback is because it hurts the AoE damage potential. -
Quote:Basically...I've been purchasing them as needed...and everything was fine...until I tried to get some yesterday...and something came up saying there was a limit of paragon market transactions allowed...and apparently I reached that limit. So you're asking if there's some kind of "max number of things you're allowed to buy per day" limit? If there is such a limit I've never heard about it. *shrugs*
Was just seeing if anyone else had any info on it. -
-
It seems that there is a limit on how many transactions you can make on the Paragon Market.
Does anyone have the numbers to the limit? -
Wait...what?
In the above photo...it says their recharge time is 16m 40s.
Mids shows a base recharge time of 180s.
What's the real recharge time? -
Quote:It's not per seeker. It's the total.I think that it is per seeker.
Sidenote...In large crowds I really like dishing out destruction with the "Double Nukeage of Death..." Inner Light then Photon Seekers then Dawnstrike.
Goodtimes.
Now, if only an echo, a residual flash type pet(s) a...northern light...type pet would stick around after the Photon Seekers exploded...just musing...
I realized that if you hover your mouse over the damage number in mids...it shows the damage per seeker. -
Wait...what's wrong with what you have shown?
They seem to be placed in a neat and organized list for you to pick and choose from.
What do you propose as a better way? -
People are so crazy about having to have the best DPS possible.
I actually like knockback. You just have to be smart about it.
However, I guess it wouldn't effect me as long as there is a choice involved. -

Quote:No range debuff?...that's rough.Also, Taunt has a range debuff.
I'm not going to describe this well, but the double handed beckoning. I believe DM's Taunt uses it.
I think I know what animation you're talking about.
Well it's definitely not as good as I had hoped...but at least it's an AoE taunt. -
Is the duration of the taunt the only difference between these powers?
Side Question: What animation does Provoke use? -
Quote:Very true. They did reduce the end recovery and mez protection a bit to make up for its increased uptime, but I agree that it's really powerful.
I don't think it's going to get the Nerf Bat anytime soon. For one, PBs have been the red-headed stepchild of ATs for a longtime. For eons, nearly everything they could do, another AT could do better. So they finally *might* be a bit overpowered in one area now... I say, it's about Damn Time!
Their Dark Cousins, the MFing Warshades, have been able to cap Resists (and damage) for Ages and no one has stuck it to them.
So I can finally tackle +8 Mobs solo like my Scrappers and Brutes can - I'm not overpowered; I've finally joined the family. -
Quote:I don't know about that.Yeah, it really is that good. Just be aware if you perma it, you will have a Crash every 90 seconds. Although it's easy enough to deal with (just keep a few blues and be ready for a heal), you will have to keep a close eye on it to do so. It's not just fire and forget, but that's a price I'm more than willing to pay.
This power seems ridiculously powerful.
With no IO sets...two slotted +Res shields...and 3 slotted +Rech Light Form. You have capped resistance plus the extra recovery...for 1 min 30 secs...and it will only be down for 60 secs.
It really seems to good to be true.
Edit: I'm just going to shut up and go level my PB...cause damn. -
Wow...although I must say...I feel that once I start having fun with this character...LF will be nerfed soon after.
I was planning to only use it when needed...but now there is absolutely no reason to ever have it sitting idle in your tray...crazy. -
Quote:Only half of your health?Huh...? Old Lightform sure, but New Lightform, I have it Perma and have it on constantly and I see my costume just fine.
The Cons of Light Form are the crashes (half your health and half you End), so if you're run perma like mine they happen often. So you have to keep some blue Inspirations around (your self-heals are enough to handle the Health Crash).
Other than that, it's an awesome gamechanger. Since I have it perma, I don't even have Quantum and Thermal shield anymore. I keep Shining Shield 1-slotted to hold the +3 Def unique IO and it alone makes up the S/L resist difference for Light Form, thus I'm ALWAYS 85% resist to everything except Psi.
Slotting for some defense combined with my Heals, this Character is much harder to Kill than my IOd to the Gills Scrappers and Brutes. It's extremely close to my Inv Tanker as well.
The biggest weakness is Mobs that Slow Recharge - they can cause a Gap in my Perma Light Form
You can still see your costume?
Yep...this is definitely going to be my new favorite. -
Haha...forgot about that one.
I would only be using it when needed...but to be able to potentially constantly have that kind of defense (defense in its general term as the power offers no actual "defense")...seems to good to be true.
If it is true...I think I've found my new favorite character. -
What are the cons to this power?
Obviously it doesn't do anything for Psi damage...and you get the usualy HP crash...but...
..you can have it up so often...
...makes me wonder if I'm missing it's glaring draw backs... -

What's their knockback mag?
Trying to figure out how much knockback protection my PB needs. -
Does the initial target get the full damage of the seeker?...and the affected mobs surrounding get bonus damage?
-
I don't think I could play this game without IO sets.
-
Another question about them...
The description states that they have a chance to affect multiple foes...
...what does that mean?
