    That's feeling Super!
I feel the same way with my dominator, but instead of brawling, I levitate a ******* refrigerator and smash the mob's head with it.

"While the game allows players to fight on their own (there are tons of bad people and things roaming the streets of Paragon City), City of Heroes really encourages team play in a lot of ways. The battles are much more intense, the enemy mobs can be much more challenging, but most of all, finding a team is easy as pie and almost everyone that I've met in City of Heroes has been extremely nice and helpful (even if my female character Nikki Star did get some unwanted attention from some disturbed individuals). Most MMOs I've played I haven't come back to simply because it's too hard to find a group, meet up with them, and finally make it to a quest only to find that the people I'm playing with are a bunch of jerkwads with serious social issues. The interface here lets players advertise their availability on a list that shows their origin and archetype so that others forming groups can simply peruse this list and invite random players. I think the longest I've ever waited for a group in my time playing was 15 minutes and that was in the higher level areas at 1:00 in the morning. It's still possible that you could get stuck with impatient players that will get you killed, but even then, most of the people will apologize and listen to advice. Either I've been extraordinarily lucky in my groups or this community is really great. Unfortunately I can really only speak for my own experiences."

This is the main reason why this game is now one of my favorites.
  3. I'm reviving this thread.

    Post away...
  4. If you can change three things about this game, what would they be?

I can't say anything yet because I've been playing for only a week so far. But I am very interested with the incoming responses.

I actually am the same way.
  6. I'll share mine.

This is my first character and I just reached level 20. I'm new to the game.

I have a technology dominator and I like having powerful, gravity control abilities with some useful, energy assault abilities. I think it is the perfect balance of a powerful "spell-caster" and a good fighter.

    - If you're breathing and have an IQ above 50 I'll take you!
    - C'mon ya maggots, get in my team nao!
Okay okay. I'll share mine. It works everytime.

"Recruiting people for an eight-man party. Join in for fast level-up. (Please send me a tell.)"

Simply yet effective. No fancy stuff for me.
  8. I'm not revealing mine, but you will know exactly what it is if you ever meet me in the game.

    What is yours?

Thank you. The community is great and it's the type of game where people would actually respond to you when you enter an LFT/LFM message on broadcast. Most MMORPGs don't have that.

To me (which is probably of no surprise to anyone), that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. But it had me wondering. If you could have EITHER (no cheating, you can't have both) the most cool looking power in the game (however you define it) OR the most mechanically strong power in the game which would you choose?

    It really depends.

If the most cool looking power is only slightly weaker than the strongest looking power, then I'd take it.

But if I want to be efficient in combat and the most cool looking power is just half as strong as the strongest power, than I'd rather have the strongest power.
  11. To summarize what I think about this game in one sentence, it will be...

It is the one game that has the one thing I've been looking for in MMORPGs.

It is very group-oriented, very strategy-based and has the type of combat gameplay that really makes you feel engaged like in Guild Wars.

I know this is a short post, but I want to start a discussion about what you people think of the game so far. Praises and criticisms are more than welcome.
  12. I'm a newb.

So after Praetoria, can I still go back to it? Or am I on a different dimension forever?

    Thanks.
  13. I am looking for a roleplaying guild that would suit my character. Here are some information about him:

    Server: Virtue.

    Name: ViKtoricus Fergoozo.

Background: (Summarized) He was an avid weightlifter and a spiritual leader in Praetoria. After a camping trip with his wife, a radioactive meteor fell near their camping site. Being curious, the couple went in to investigate the landing zone and were exposed to radiation. ViKtor mutated into a mega-buff dominator while his wife died...

    Character build: Dominator.

General attitude towards other people: Friendly.

I'm not sure if this is even remotely close to a proper RP character background, but at least I tried.

To the guild members/leaders of an existing RP guild, please don't hesitate to advertise in here.

    Thanks in advance.
