I think I have to disagree with you on your slotting choices...
Elec Armor toggles don't use more than 0.13 End/sec each (Sherk Silver Char Builder). By fully slotting them out with 3 SOs that takes them down to ~0.068, a savings of 0.063 End/sec per toggle.
However, all the attacks From Thunder Strike on up use in excess of 10 End per use. With a recharge of 18 sec, TS uses 0.56 End/sec. Wouldn't you be better served putting one End Redux in the heavy attacks, and saving the slots in your toggles for other powers that might need them? -
Good luck Cuppa.
Thanks for all the hard work you put into your job. Yours is probably one of the most thankless jobs for an MMORPG, just because you're the one who catches all the flak when something goes wrong.
Well, just wanted to say thanks - for everything you did for us. The ppl over at Tabula Rasa don't know just how lucky they are... -
GL RedTomax, hope everything works out alright!

2. Depends on the type of request. Don't put in the request channel that you're a lvl 2 MM LFT. Who cares??? Only the ppl on Mercy care, not the whole game! This is definitely a case-by-case basis. A reasonable request certainly does belong in the request channel, and someone who yells at someone else for making a reasonable request in the request channel is an idiot, IMO.
3. Relates to #2. How many 45+ confine themselves to ONE zone ONLY? A Hami Raid needs to use the Request channel to hit it's maximum audience, considering you need 50+ ppl to kill the sucker. And, someone with 3 lvl 50s whose playing a lvl 12 atm may want in on the Raid.
Ideal solution is for EVERYONE to sign up for their respective server's Badge/Monster hunting channels, and that would solve the problem. Not gonna happen, but it would solve the problem

The addition of "Ignore all invites" is very welcome, by the way

Really nice guide Hudson! 5 * for u!

Very nicely done!!
I've yet to see a more complete "How-To" list for earning badges than you have there. Great work! -

Propel - The Hero can open up a portal and pull in a heavy object that he can then levitate and propel at foes!
# Very good damage, awesome looking animation, good knock back, and a really long activation time. I see quite a few people taking this power. It looks amazing and does good damage, but the activation time means it takes forever to go off. In a group the target is often already dead by the time your power finally hits. Solo this power takes too long and messes with your ability to keep your foes held and off balance. I would definitely skip this power unless you want it for concept or coolness factor.

I disagree with it's lack of utility when solo. This is a great CONTROL power when you're solo!
Control? Yep. Use Gravity Distortion on Taget #1, locking them down. Then, hit Target #2 with lift, then kick this off, by the time they get back up, they get hit with the Propel'd item, and it does another knockback/knockdown. That's one target out of commission for a good 6-8 seconds. More than enough time for your Gravity Distortion to recharge so you can hit them with it. Then you can work on Target #1. Alternate back and forth, and you're golden.
Gives pretty decent solo'ing ability to an AT that shouldn't really be soloing at all
I used this "ghetto hold" combo to great effect on my Dominator in the early levels. Still get great use out of it, even in my 30s. And the extra damage from Propel really takes them down a peg. -
Great guide! I've got one thing to add tho.
Make sure that you have 2 open slots in your Enhancement inventory!! You get an SO drop from Infernal (for killing a hero), and you WILL get a +3 SO from the completion of the SF. Make sure you have room in your inventory, or you won't get the reward! -
Wonderful to have you back Red!! Welcome back to the WWW.

I thought the Taunt cap for Tanks was 17?

Massive bummer Tomax
Good luck getting everything back up and running smoothly.

My server exploded, no idea how long it's going to take to get everything back up as I don't know the full extent of the damage yet. I really hope the HD survived as I don't have backup's of some of the later scripts, and come to think of it don't have very up-to-date ones of the rest :/
Only Lord Recluse could have devised such a devious plot, he will pay for this!

Looks good. I'd like to add that the easiest way to get the boss badges is for someone to get the mission, have a full team of 8 and set it on Relentless. This works great if you have a team of ppl that are 20+ Levels above the mobs, as you can just mow through them to get the badges. The person getting the mish is going to have to be similar level, but they can be lackeyed up to make it easier.
Took 30 min to get the 500 skulls/50 bone daddies this way. Very easy. Of course you get the missions most readily from the zones in which these appear in your guide. So if you want skulls, look in the newspaper with a character in the 5-9 range and go to town. -

OK, now I'm really confused. I did just that - had entered about 6 nines in for my toHit debuff, and I swear to you I got 5.00 all up and down the columns. I re-downloaded the sheet and now it's doing what we both expect. I wish I hadn't overwritten the original copy I had when I downloaded it.I want to know how I broke it like that.
Anyway, uh, carry on!

My copy is doing the same thing. I'll save it for you if you want. Haven't downloaded another copy yet. -
Looks very good Tony! I'd like to add something that I found personally helpful:
If you can manage it, try to get a team of 6 ppl together - 3 low level ppl and 3 high level ppl. The 3 low level should all be within +/-1 lvl of each other (for instance, a 24, 24, and 25). Ideally, the 3 high level ppl should be as high above 30 as possible.
When you start the Respec Trial, BEFORE the team leader talks to Tresparciel, the lowbies Malefactor down the higher players. That way, you go into the trial as 2 lvl 25s and 4 lvl 24s(using the player levels from the previous example).
The spawns on the final encounter are based off the level for the highest member of the team. In this case, the AV and all the CoTs will be level 27. Once inside the final mission, the lowbies unmalefactor the 30s and then get lackeyed up to the 30s. Now you have a team of 6 level 30s fighting 27s. This makes completion of the respec trial MUCH easier, especially if you just need the respec.
The first 2 times I failed the respec, and tried this method on the 3rd. Works like a charm.
Great guide! -
Wikipedia rox0rz!!
Nice read, but waaayyyyyy to much info. I'll stick to basic English. -
As Dwimble said, you need to use the toggleoff function to kill sprint. The bind as you have it written will work, but only if you have sprint running first. Write it like this:
LSHIFT+R "++autorun$$powexec_toggleoff sprint$$powexec_name fly$$+up"
This will jump, activate fly, attempt to turn sprint off (whether it's on or not), and autorun. Also note that you will continue to ascend at a 45° angle until you press your jump button once more.
Finally, next time you need help, be more specific as to why it's not working. Just saying it doesn't work leaves a lot of questions. A little extra info on your end will go a long way to making sure that you get a helpful answer. -
I've run it twice myself, and had several ppl in my SG run it as well. In every case, the levels of the final mobs in the AV mission were +2 of the highest person in the group. Mission difficulty has nothing to do with this, or any other, Strike Force-type missions.
I've found optimal group size is 6. More than that and you start getting a lot of bosses in the spawns, especially in the final AV room, that really slows things down.
Best tactic I've seen yet is to have 3 lower level ppl, of whatever range, that are +/- 1 lvl of each other (say 24-26) and then 3 others that are 30+ (the higher the better). The lower levels malefactor down the highers, the Tree spawns as +2 to the highest person in the group (in the 24-26 example, the tree would be 28). Then, after you enter the mission, kill the malefactoring and the 30+s lackey up the lowbies. Then you have 6 ppl that are 30+ fighting a 28 AV...it dies quickly. I've heard of a group killing the tree so fast in this manner that the ambush didn't have time to spawn! I do realize that everyone will be autoexempted down to 30, but they only lose their powers, not their enhancement slots, so having 3 40s is better than 3 31s).
Nice post! -
How do you get Handsome/Beautiful? I haven't been able to find any info on it
::EDIT:: Sorry I found it later in the post.
