Yeah, I'll probably change the description to "amber" for the next round of updates...
-
Do you still need to have an enemy combatant using AoE attacks for arena gladiator farms?
-
Okay, Ms. Liberty is supposed to be holding Excalibur for Hero 1? That thing she has would be considered a short sword for her, for Hero 1 it'd barely be a letter opener! What's the deal?

I can't help but wonder if this thread prompted this announcement. I mean, I make a post about a new vet power I've found that I've never heard of before, and less than 12 hours later an official announcement goes up confirming it?
Sure the power's icon has been uploaded to ParagonWiki since March, but I'd never heard of it, and judging by the reactions in this thread and the other, neither had most of the forumgoers. -
The new zone will be the moon zone. Players will travel to the moon and fight exciting new moon based enemies, and perhaps a few old favorites, like the Wailers. The Wailers will sing a jaunty tune that goes something like this:
"We're Wailers on the moon,
Our arms are like harpoons,
So let's get some souls,
For us to control,
While we sing our wailing tune." -

Yes but while the heroes are successful enough to have influence with saids stores, they don't ship out to the goverment because they only cater to those with super powers...the jerks!
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't they have supers on the government, too? Like, I'm pretty sure the president would be able to rip his suit jacket off and suplex enemies of the United States where they stand

Like this? -
This isn't squeeing, this is a discussion about whether BS is thematically appropriate for Stalkers, at least moreso than for Brutes.
-
It'd be even easier if the name was in the post.
-
Venture, how come you never mention the name of the author in your reviews?

My feature request, in keeping with this issue's theme of coloring things, is to finally fix the bug that resets global channel colors whenever you zone.

If any Issue has ever been deserving of the "Freem!" moniker, it is most definitely Issue 16.

Freem! doesn't even mean anything! That's why it's so funny! -

It depends on the sword you choose. an Actual Broadsword or Claymore which is Legacy is not really meant for finesse. a Rapier or Sabre is.
When I think swords I think of Knights in Full Plate with Kite shields hacking at each other. Of course my namesake character is a "Longsword" Scrapper and I usually concider him to be more of a fniesse user with that sword.
They both work but For the standard Stereotype it would make more sense to me to be a Brute and Tank set before a Stalker set. My first thought isn't someone wielding a Broadsword in a Dark Corner waiting to strike.
[/ QUOTE ]
Against knights in full plate, swords are generally a terrible choice of weapon exactly because they favor finesse over brute force (even claymores and the like), and thus have trouble causing any actual damage to the opponent. Maces, hammers, picks, even axes are better choices because they strike with more force. -
One-handed swords like broadswords, longswords, etc., are typically much more elegant than maces or axes. Thematically Broadsword fits Stalkers much better than Brutes.

I already suggested the explosion costume change emote in the thread where I suggested costume change emotes to be back-added into the Cyborg booster pack.
-
Ah, here's the complaining. I was wondering where it went.
-
No, I mean literally, it's the same powers but faster. They even used to have the same animations.

Broad Sword isn't a re-skin of an existing Stalker set, unless you think it's the same as Ninja Blade simply because it uses a sword.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ninja Blade is just Katana renamed, and Katana is just Broadsword with shorter recharges and lower end costs and damage. -

I just read "Stalkers" and "broadswords" in the same sentence, then had to do a double take. I mean, seriously. A Stalker carrying around a HUGE ol' honkin' blade?
[/ QUOTE ]
Really, only a few of the Broadswords could be considered "HUGE." The Legacy Broadsword, Rularuu's Bane, the Tech one, maybe Romulus's swords. Other than that, they're pretty reasonably-sized. -
Will power customization have a noticeably negative effect on game performance? Now, when a player uses a power, the server tells the client "Guy X uses Power Y on Target Z." After PC, it'll be more like "Guy X uses Power Y with Colors A and B on Target Z." That's an increase in net traffic happening in the same amount of time. Furthermore, before, when using powers with baked-in colors, the client would just have to load and render Texture C, but with PC it'll have to load Texture C and Texture C's color mask Texture D and render it with colors A and B, and increase in graphical load. A small one perhaps, but will it be noticeable?

I guess they don't know each other.
