I'm gonna bump this thread because I still think this is a good idea.

Anyone else experiencing this? When I switch to my badge tab on my main (766 badges) my framerate is plummeting. It goes from a smooth 50-60 or so fps to around 15. It's almost as bad as checking the salvage drops on a mob.

Quote:It's got nothing to do with game balance or aesthetics. When I would write code, I'd try things like this that SHOULD work in theory, and usually would, but sometimes just wouldn't work the way you want at all.How so? It was merited by how the power was set up and it makes sense for why they did it. There aren't a whole lot of situations where they would want this setup, really. It'd be nice if the real numbers system could reflect it better (since the animation isn't really 0 seconds), but that's the only real problem with it.
Just as an overly-simplified example, imagine you had a text file with a word in it. You'd have one part of the program read the word, then erase it and write another word. Then another part of the program would read that word, and erase it and change it to something else. Imagine it's absolutely essential that the two parts read what the other wrote, so they need to always alternate and never have one go twice in a row. You'd think that'd work fine, but sometimes because of what other people wrote or the system you're using or because of the arcane things the compiler does with your code to make it into a program, sometimes part A will go twice in a row for some reason.
I don't know if the Hail of Bullets change is actually a sort of similar situation, but that's what gets conjured in my head when I read it. -
That seems like the kind of hackish solution that causes problems down the line.

It's called Power Thrust, not Energy Thrust.

Rumor: Hunt missions are a leading cause of depression.
Fact: It's true!

Well that's just great. You make that huge post so any follow-up post without pictures and twelve paragraphs looks lazy by comparison.

The costume creator only supports two colors per costume item, and on an option where skin is visible, one color is reserved for skin color.

All stealth powers will stack with any other stealth power. It's really just a matter of which toggles will disable other toggles.

This is mainly a suggestion for Stone Armor characters, though it would have other uses.
Basically, when an enemy hits you with a mez power, sometimes it's hard to spot the icon for that mez power in your list of powers affecting you. A lot of times the icons for those powers don't even indicate a mez. Now, sometimes there are situations where you want or have to drop your mez protection. Most of the time this is when a Stone character wants to turn off Rooted for a second to move somewhere, but there are other situations too.
Putting those two things together, sometimes you don't know you'd be mezzed without your mez protection until it drops and you get mezzed, and then it's too late. So here's the suggestion: similar to how when you get mezzed, red text appears below your health bar telling you how you're mezzed, put blue text below your health bar when you would be mezzed if not for your mez protection. -
Post in this thread, which is meant exactly for things like this and is read by the guy who can make it happen.

You know what? Those are Beef Cake's. He must've put his in instead of mine.

I don't know why installing the Vidiotmaps pack with Corva's pack already installed would single out the Mystic Fortune icons.
-
I didn't do anything to Mystic Fortune, what're you seeing?
-
I know a lot of you have switched over to Corva's icon pack, but for those interested, the VidiotMaps icon pack has been updated for Issue 17. Enjoy.

I know everything eventually becomes knockdown if you go after mean enough targets, so I'm really only interested in effects against even-cons at level 50. I know that's probably anathema to you, Bill. :P
-
Does anyone know of any powers that do knockback in one pool but knockdown in another? For example, if Bonfire did knockback in the hands of Controllers but knockdown in the hands of Dominators or Blasters in their APP pool, that would be an example of what I'm looking for.

You'll still need to reveal the map in zones where unexplorored areas are blacked out, though.

When I was hunting them they spawned on a flat timer. I don't remember what it was, but I had my watch on a timer and the Contaminated would spawn exactly on schedule every time.

As I recall Vincent doesn't change twirling directions during the Deathblow animation like we do with Executioner's Shot. I'm also pretty sure he manages to twirl the gun such that it's not parallel with the palm of his hand somehow.
I'm describing the Deathblow animation he does with pistols, though, you may be talking about the one he does with rifles equipped. -
I really think the people against this idea are just, at their core, falling into the trap explained in this video.
