Oh and for the love of Monte Cristo, Shatter Armor needs to have a different animation from Shatter. Why not the Clobber or Jawbreaker animations (or both!), since they're the only ST Mace attacks VEATs don't get? After all, VEATs are the only ones who can get Shatter Armor.

I want to see Pool attacks have themes to match the various elements we have. For example, Air Superiority could have a Fire theme you could pick to make it match your Fiery Melee powers, an Electric Theme to match your electric blast powers, a Super Strength theme, etc. Obviously the damage types and secondary effects would stay the same, but the sounds and visuals would match other sets. The themes I was thinking were:
- Fire
- Electric
- Ice
- Stone
- Energy
- Dark
- Martial Arts (whooshy stars)
- Super Strength (yellow glow and impacts)
- Kinetic (Kinetic Melee)
It really wouldn't be as big a project as you might think at first, since there's in fact only 5 pool attacks: Boxing, Kick, Air Superiority, Jump Kick, and Flurry, and a lot of the needed FX could be recycled from other power FX. -
So what you're saying is, there is no way around it. You have to go without powers you would never skip on another melee AT until around 30 to play a Stalker.
-
The game rounds up to two decimal places. Not the important math that decides combat, but the Real Numbers.
-
I've been messing around in Mids, and I've concluded that making a tolerable Stalker is impossible. In order to have a build that I like, I have to do ridiculous things like skip a travel power or run with 3 attacks including AS well into the 20s. How am I supposed to play like that?!

Single-target damage isn't really where EM's lacking, though. Heck, EM's the only set where the Bruising power won't be the weakest attack.
-
So as you may have heard, Cobra Strike in Martial arts is now a melee attack with a stun secondary rather than a stun power with a pittance of damage. This is the third, to my knowledge, melee set control power that has had a major buff to damage in an underperforming set. Naturally, seeing this pattern, I had to wonder: will Freezing Touch be the next melee control option to get this treatment? What do you think, Tankers?

Do you two realize how similar your avatars are?

I wouldn't know, you'd have to ask Beef Cake.

I know nothing infuriates me more than missing, so let's have Fury build faster when you miss! And just for giggles, make the bonus Fury from missing scale up the lower the target's health is.

I'm pretty sure those fur shoulders were removed because they're supposed to be a unique costume piece for Woodsman.

Man, this is too stressful. I can deal with not getting the code (unlike some of the professional whiners you can see on the Facebook posts), but not trying to get it.
-
So the hour's almost up and no code 5? And they're supposed to get 10 out by an hour and change from now?
-
I'm guessing no, the SF won't drop.

It doesn't last for 20 minutes.

While I'm disappointed that I only managed to correctly predict the name of this power, I feel like I should point out that "Secondary Mutation" is what the Mutation SOs are called. Maybe it should be changed to "Tertiary Mutation"? And maybe later down the line we'll add quaternary mutations, too.
Also, same icon as Mystic Fortune? That's NO GOOD! -
I recently had reason to be browsing the forums while not logged in, and when I wanted to do a search, the forums had a CAPTCHA for me since I wasn't a known user. For those not in the know, a CAPTCHA is one of those images that display a series of characters that you have to type in to proceed, in order to prove that you aren't a robot or something. Now I understand that we can't have filthy robots searching our forums, but these images that get churned out are often hard for humans to decipher. I know I have trouble sometimes, and I don't even have any colorblindness issues or anything.
Here's an example image:
Now if you're like me, you'll have to strain to make out that G there.
Is there any way we could have easier to decipher images for this thing? -
Quote:I would actually call this style "True Blaster," because it's a Blaster using all of his attacks to do the most damage possible in any situation.Balanced - This is the Blaster that takes melee attacks from the Secondary, but uses them to support the Primary. Essentially your strategy should be to pick out foes, take them out, and then when you're down to one or two, or see an opportunity to close in on a weakened foe that's about to die, without getting in range of anyone else, dart in and use a melee attack. An excellent combination is a hold, like Tesla Cage, followed by a pair of melee attacks.

Okay, seriously guys? Derepping me for bumping this thread? Necroposting is bumping an ancient thread just for laughs and serves no purpose. This isn't necroposting because I didn't do it for laughs, I did it because I wanted to get this idea out there again, and hey, here's a thread I already made on the subject that says everything I would've said in a new thread.
You people think that just because necroposting is bad, ALL bumps of any old thread regardless of relevance must therefore be bad. Way to miss the point. -
I'm not one to bash the devs, but this is seriously one of the most boneheaded "fixes" I can think of. Talk about completely missing the point. How is it possible no one on the team said, "Hey, this is supposed to be the WEAKENED Hamidon, isn't it?"
