  6. It is a good suggestion, though I would take it farther and come up with a system that would also show when it's time to refresh another player's ST buff. My Emp can perma-fort 5 or 6 teammates, but I limit it to 4 at most because I simply can't remember whose turn it is consistently.
  7. I don't know how you can even stand having the team window near the middle, that makes the buff bars go straight down the center of the screen.

    Rework GMs

    People did it for the fun of it because it was a new thing then. If your reg date is when you started playing, Lusca would've still been brand new at that point. Changing the encounter wouldn't have any more of a lasting impact on its popularity. In fact, making it more involved would cause interest to decline FASTER, because winning would be a whole production instead of a quick thing to do if you're bored.
  10. I think the best thing about DOs and SOs is the abbreviations. They just roll off the tongue. I tried to come up with decent replacements in the OP.

  12. Yes, you heard me. Make Origins do nothing. Replace DOs with Skilled-level enhancements (SEs), SOs with Master-level enhancements (MEs). Let us change our origin temp at a trainer. Open up every Title list to every character at 25. Let everyone do extra damage with either the Nemesis Staff or Blackwand from the 33 month vet reward. Let us choose our first Hero contact with a summary of what that contact offers.

    That's my "just-to-be-contrary" idea for the day. Although I really would like to not have my title list limited.
  13. On second thought, you probably don't want my Rad. He hit 49 on a WST and all his enhancements went red, plus it reminded me how disaster-prone he is.

  15. So, this has been a problem for a while, but maybe now it'll get some attention with all the teams running it. Basically, We're experiencing major server-side slowdown on several missions of the 5th TF and SF. The Boomtown missions, the Axis Amerika missions, and the city hall mission heroside after using the portal, are all affected. When it happens, you'll see your teammates moving at uneven rates, going fast, then stopping for fractions of a second. Your powers will indicate they're ready for use but when you try to use them they'll say they're still recharging, and when you do use them they'll take much longer to activate.

    So yeah. What's the deal?

  18. Well you've all managed to convince me that maybe I am the only one who hates having a Taunt aura. It hasn't changed my opinion, though. Sure those sets need enemies in melee for those powers to work best, but you're a Scrapper; you're going to close in melee with them. They don't need to be attacking you to get that benefit, and besides, an enemy who isn't attacking you is an enemy you don't need defenses against.

    As for preventing runners, that is a nice feature, but I think a middle ground is possible where the Scrapper can keep the enemies from running away without pulling AV aggro off the Tanker and getting splattered.

    It's great that you guys have these high-performance, soft-capped, unkillable Scrappers that can handle multi-AV aggro, but most players don't and they're suffering for their taunt auras.

    I'm pretty sure Oportals do that because when they despawn they hit you with some sort of force movement thing. Try jumping with a running start away from a portal when it despawns; you'll usually get pulled back towards it in midair.

    It seems a lot of destructible entities do that same thing. Next time you're in a mayhem mission, try to run away from a box immediately as you destroy it; you'll get stuck in place for a second. It's even more pronounced when you destroy multiple objects at once.

    Why it happens? I have no idea.

  21. Sure, but still. It'd be a reasonable approximation of the WST's rewards.
  22. Temporarily add a few recipes to the Vanguard workbenches? 150 Vmerits for a Notice, 300 Vmerits for 600 Vmerits, 300 VMerits for 5 bars of XP perhaps?
