I'm pretty sure that the technological era of steampunk is a wholly fictional one. So, the music could be from whenever.
-
Looked like it was just Pipe Wrench 2, already available for War Mace.
Also, if you're wondering about the power, according to the in-game info (for [Steam Jump]) it does the same thing as the GvE Jump Pack. -

Regarding the Ustream comment about Interface in rains being WAI... did it ever occur to you guys that maybe the devs are individuals rather than brain-linked to a game design hive mind? And maybe they don't all know everything about every aspect of the game?
-
You seriously need a change of perspective if you think Reactive is garbage just because it doesn't turn rains into nukes.
-
Okay, I tested it, just for you, Madamme! The placate proc does NOT cause aggro.
-
I wore sneakers with no socks one summer as a kid. Not even a smelly, pubescent kid. Ended up having to throw those sneakers away.
-
If you ask me it should be the exact opposite of what it's like; won't activate on a flying mob, but will still damage them if they end up in the air between the activation and when it hits due to knockback, jumping, etc.
-
Domination at the recharge cap recharges in 50 seconds, and domination only lasts 90 seconds. So it's impossible to triple-stack it.
-
I think you're underestimating how much damage a pet can add, especially since you're taking Reactive. Plus there's the resist debuff in Poisonous Ray.
-
If you're dead set on having a targeted AoE, Ice is the only option that will let you keep your soft cap.
-
Disruptor Blast is, to use your words, pretty pants. Compared to Psionic Tornado, which you want to lose, it barely does any more damage at a cost of an even longer recharge and causing redraw. The Toxic Tarantula does as much or more damage as Disruptor Blast with every attack it uses (one of which happens to be a targeted AoE just like Disruptor Blast), and with your recharge you'll have it out practically perma.
-
Quote:Stacking Domination doesn't do anything but increase your mez protection, which is already hefty enough to handle anything you'll encounter. The extra control mag is just an effect the power has that only kicks in when there's a copy of Domination active on your character. One stack, two, doesn't matter, all it does is check for ANY Domination before applying the extra magnitudes of control.Permadom I'm pretty sure is available in every powerset combo possible in the archetype. I want to ask this though: What about Double Domi? Is that capable of being made permanent? And if so, is the Double Domi stacked naturally? Also, can every powerset pull it off? I ask this because a fellow player I know plays an Ice/Psi Dominator, that on occasion is capable of 'Double Domination'.

Perfect? That's a fool's deal if you can use a Notice to make one Empyrean.
-
That doesn't answer my question, it just tells me why it would be bad.

I noticed that enemies hit by the inital effect then shoot lightning from themselves to the enemies near them. Maybe that's why it works the way it does; that's the only way to get that kind of VFX in place, where there's a projectile from the primary target to the secondary targets.
-
Tunnel Rat, do you only make the VFX, or can you apply them too? Can I ask you to put the Shatter Armor "shattering" effect on -Resist procs or the Placate effect on Smoke Flash, or is that someone else's department?
-
I love all of them. The way they have both Ranged and Melee powers that lets them be a threat at any range just tickles me pink. When I first saw them I immediately went "I want that for Defenders!" Then I suggested an Electric Assault set that was nearly identical to the one we eventually got 3 years later. I think the only difference was I suggested Ball Lightning instead of Static Discharge.

Boost Range is so great. Attacking from farther away and having bigger cones is love. But its duration is so short, you need to use it so much. If I put it on auto it's always interrupting my attack chains. If I don't put it on auto I constantly forget to use it. Wish it lasted longer with longer recharge. Can't live with it, can't live without it...

Personally I'd take Summon Tarantula instead of Disruptor Blast. Move the Ragnaroks to Psychic Scream. Five-slot Summon Tarantula with 4 Expedient Reinforcement (the Acc/Dam and the three with */Recharge in them) plus the Dam/Rech Soulbound Allegiance. You get same total recharge buff from Expedient Reinforcement that you lost from the Positron's Blast, plus with the amount of recharge you have you'll have your Toxic Tarantula out pretty much permanently. I think that'll add more to your total damage than Disruptor Blast, especially if you take Reactive from Interface.
If you do take Reactive, drop Mesmerize for Levitate and slot it with 5 Decimations. Reactive will make any Mesmerized enemy wake up pretty much every time. Levitate will do Smashing damage which is good against most robots, which resist Psi.
Not sure why you have four slots in your defense toggles. Drain Psyche should make the extra End enhancement and recovery set bonus from GotA superfluous. Change one of those to a Karma -KB and you can replace the BotZ in Fly with a Winter's Gift 20% Res to Slow.
I think I'd replace one of those Fortunata Hypnoses in Mass Hypnosis with the Placate Proc. Probably the Sleep/Recharge, you'll still be at the ED cap for Sleep and you'll only lose 1 second on Recharge.
Personally I'd put that last set of Kinetic Combats in Boxing instead of Brawl. It doesn't make a difference of course, since you're not gonna use either. That's just me. -
More of a long-standing bug, really: the continuing FX from Boost Range should be tintable like the activation FX.

Quote:In which case one should be reaching for inspirations/Demonic, or hell, Barrier before one reaches for Unstoppable.Quote:The dislike stems mostly from the fact that Unstoppable is an appropriate response in a VERY tiny number of corner-cases. The rest of the time the power is either useless or a net negative. Unstoppable is only marginally more useful to a well built Inv/SS tanker than Hand Clap is.
It's situational, yes, but the situation arises often and Unstoppable is an easy way to deal with it. -
The hate for Unstoppable is blown out of proportion if you ask me. Yes the crash can kill you, but you shouldn't be using it unless you'd die anyway if you didn't.
