It's true what Snow Globe says, Triumph is pretty much a ghost server these days.

Quote:Can I just spend a post to say how cool I think this idea would be? It was just a quick brainstorm off the top of my head so the OP wouldn't boil down to "buff Empathy," but it's really grown on me since then. I think it'd be a really neat mechanic. I love temp powers. And here's a cool idea: what if Masterminds could use their minion upgrade powers on other players to grant them temporary powers based on their set? Demon Summoners could give teammates a clone of the upcoming Arcane Bolt, while Mercs could equip their allies with frag grenades.

The "different effects depending on the target" mechanic, as seen in such upcoming powers as Rebirth, Enflame, and Unrelenting. This would be a great way to add functionality to existing sets without violating the cottage rule. For example, Empathy, which often finds itself overshadowed by other, less specialized support sets in late-game content. I'd like to see Resurrect become usable on living allies as well as defeated ones, and on enemies to cause them to pulse a healing and +end aura that affects your allies. (Maybe change the name to Life Channel or something) Clear Mind could be used on enemies to reduce their mez resistance and ToHit. Adrenaline Boost could double as a mega debuff, crashing the regeneration and recovery of foes while reducing their damage, secondary effects, recharge, and max HP.

I think this could make for some even more exciting change-ups in the established game, at a time when the game is already going through some exciting change-ups. -
I'd like to improve respecs. When you're doing a respec, the music should be something like this, and other players should see your characters glowing and shooting off fireworks, and when you finish there should be some big fanfare, like the "hitting level 50" level-up FX times ten. I think this would make respecs just a little more, well, super!
What, what were you thinking I meant? -
How bout let's not get greedy.

At least targeted AoEs are good spots for AT-specific IOs.
-
No, you've got it backwards. We need the option to wear the High Collar cape with only the collar and no cape. Easy mistake.
-
Um. It's July right now. Not June.
-
The incarnate system and 12 free character slots per server are the only incentives to become a VIP. If you take away the Incarnate system from that, what incentive do non-altoholics have to stick around?
-
This sounds like what you can already do by turning down your Max Particle Count slider in the options menu.

Weekend's over, waiting on that post from Arbiter Hawk describing the specific secondary changes in detail!
-
So, Arby Hawk, any chance you could just plain tell us all the secondary powers that are changing and how?
-
It never did that. They never implemented different text for that situation for heroes, so they just get the same message as villains.
-
I guess that's as good an explanation as any.
Night Ward isn't a mirror dimension like Praetoria is to Primal Earth. The Excalibur he finds there is the Praetorian Excalibur, and it's explicitly stated that the reason it corrupts him when he gets it is because it was itself corrupted by Night Ward. From this we can reasonably infer that it was therefore NOT from Night Ward originally. -
I'm pretty sure one of the effects of the spores in the hallway is -Range.
-
I think it's somewhere in Europe, since the Praetorian counterpart to Excalibur is near First Ward.
-
Okay, imagine your powerset being available in the game, and your character can pick up his enemies. Now imagine that multiple people on your team are trying to do the same thing.

Quote:Scrappers are what I was talking about when I said "things that can't." They really just don't have the HP or defense numbers to handle the amount of aggro the taunt auras in Invulnerability and Shield Defense can bring their way on large teams unless heavily built for it with IOs.Not really. Brutes and Tankers get taunt in their attacks. Other ATs that can "tank" (notably Scrappers, Masterminds and Kheldians) get access to Taunt powers but lack any options to add a Taunt component to their regular attacks.
Masterminds don't have auto taunts, but their pets have the same base threat level (4, to be exact) as Tankers, which ensures that they get a lot of the aggro, and Kheldians, in the only state in which they can do any Tanking, get a free AoE Taunt attack. -
I don't really see the value in such an item. Anything that can really handle the extra aggro from automatic taunts (and some things that can't) already have access to such things.

Quote:Proper back details didn't exist when the plates (there are actually two) were created. They probably don't work properly with player models, specifically with the body sliders.Oh gods, I would *kill* for the IDF proper armour. The front plate just doesn't cut it for many concepts
If we got the Olympian, Resistance and PPD parts as full wrap around, with 'clipping' allowed for player discretion, why not the same for IDF? It makes no sense...
(And the VG back plate IS a back detail. The last excuse given was 'back details aren't possible like that at the moment'. Which, y'know, is now provably no longer true....so...)
But yes, I want them bad, and the big IDF pieces too. -
