  1. Try typing this in the chat window:

    /bind button3 +camrotate
  2. Insp names should be flavorful! There isn't a yellow insp called "Missless." I've never seen a red called a "Hurtmore." And when you die in a mission, someone gives you an "Awaken", not a "Saveatrip."
  3. "Resistant?" That name sucks. I'm about to blow your mind with a better one. Check it:

    "Ironclad."

    BAM! You're welcome.
  4. The rate of gaining incarnate XP is glacial. I have maybe once gotten to experience gradually getting more powerful abilities because by the time I actually earn enough XP to slot the powers I have more than enough threadstuffs to make a Rare ability.

Right now actually unlocking the slots is by far the most tedious and time-consuming part of the incarnate system.
  5. Everyone feels useless before they get a couple of level shifts. Keep at it.
  6. Wearing armor above the knees was actually a subtle way of showing that one was homosexual in medieval times.
  7. The auras, emotes, chest emblems, etc., are locked behind incarnate trials because they want the Incarnate system to offer every kind of carrot possible as an incentive to play it. There is no other reason. The auras, the emotes, anything that isn't the Ascension pieces aren't meant to say "Incarnate." Only Ascension is meant for that, and that's why it's the only reward you can't claim until 50.

I know a lot of people don't like it, but that's the reason. I doubt they (the devs) will change their minds.

It's the kind of text that appears above your head like damage numbers; you know, the kind that appears red for the player being affected and gray for everyone else.
  9. Sounds like you've still got the Sentinel pet's power icon in your tray. You have to go into your Powers window and find the new pet power icon and put it in your tray to use the new Longbow pet.

No it wouldn't. Nobody would pay current market price for t3s when they could just make them for 450 each from a store.

So yes people would abuse it, but nobody'd be getting rich.
  11. I really can't fathom the fact that there are people who still don't understand how this is going to work.

Skin color counts as a color. That's why Tops with Skin pieces only have one color option.

Yeah, that's why they changed the name to Obliteration from Devastation in pre-beta, because they were too similar.
  14. Are you talking about Disintegration? Obliteration hits for like 1500, hardly unsurvivable.
  15. I'm against changing any of the missions to be unfailable unless you also address the reason why these missions are failed so much. First mission, because you have to drag Penny all the way back to the entrance, third mission, because you have to find sixish hostages hiding in corners all around an enormous map. Make the missions less tedious and you have a point.
  16. Something that really bugs me on my elec Dominator: when I use Jolting Chain, the chained lightning effects are obviously originating from the invisible pseudopets, not the enemies I target. Could the FX be changed to shoot out from the enemies themselves?

Here's a screenshot. You can clearly see the first jump originated a good two to three feet below my primary target.

From the description of Loves a Challenge it sounds like you only have to avoid dying in the last phase.
  18. Maelstrom's holsters aren't really new technology; they're just animated costume pieces. They're basically the opposite of weapons.

Before i11, drawn weapons were lasting FX on a character model. After i11, once we got weapon customization, they became animated costume pieces; their "animation" consists of invisible when outside of normal weapon stances, and visible when it the appropriate weapon stance. Maelstrom's holsters are the reverse of that; when he goes into Dual Pistols weapon stance, the gun part of their geometry goes invisible.

There's really no reason they couldn't do the same for us, it's just a matter of doing the work. They just haven't had the chance.
  19. That is not at all what I'm asking. I want to know if it's affected by Heal debuffs or not.

This particular badge is the one i was refering to that harkens back to the old master style, exclusion of AT's runs. I do agree, that unless you have a FINELY tuned league (not a PuG) this is going to be a VERY hard badge to get, and even with a good league it will be hard.

I also understand that it is still "in beta", but previous experience has shown, once it hits open, aside from a bit of tweaking here and there, it goes live "as is".
I think this isn't going to be as hard as it sounds. Anti-Matter's not actually that strong an Archvillain, and the Antimatter Pulse is off during the final phase. Any group with enough healing to make it through the reactor phases should have enough healing to keep people alive in the last fight, as long as they keep an eye out for Disintegrations.
  22. I was looking through the Real Numbers for various powers, and noticed that the healing portion of Earth's Embrace isn't listed as unresistable. This is unusual; most other self-heal powers are unresistable.

I was wondering if that was accurate. Has anyone taken a Stone Armor character up against Hamidon and been unable to heal with Earth's Embrace after being pounded by green mitos?
  23. Both pets at Core Superior have Lore Power, which is a passive that boosts their considerable base damage by 25%.
  24. Technically none of them are untargetable. They're untouchable.

I can't, and I'm pretty sure it's not just because I haven't trained hard enough.
I think at that point, the use of the weapon is maybe a tertiary component in any coolness happening.
