Much drama about nothing. As someone who actually plays the game and is a VIP, I'd much rather the devs work on other things than adjust what day of the month I get my various rewards.
Even if they did fix it and everyone got everything for the month on a certain day, the forums would immediately explode with other whiners wanting to know why they 'lost' time or why other people 'gained' time when the award distribution was standardized to the first of the month. -
/Psi also has a CONFUSE power which can hold a purple IO set that is nothing short of pwnsauce for blasters.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Coercive_Persuasion
Two enhancements increases Recovery by 4%.
Three enhancements improves the duration of your Confuse effects by 4%.
Four enhancements improves the Damage of all your powers by 4%.
Five enhancements improves the Recharge of all your powers by 10%.
Six enhancements increases Ranged Defense by 5%. -
No... then everyone will make their female characters even SMALLER.

Quote:How about a telekinesis-style effect, based on distraction lasers. Wrist-mounted projector turns on and it locks you down but puts forward a cone of very high mag confuse, or maybe a constant pelting of low mag confuse + low mag disorient. It would be a powerful power, but confused/disoriented enemies move around so it would be limited by your ability to immobilize them first or your teams' ability to control them.
*Distraction (Mob of holographic people running in all directions) - Targetted AoE confuse
For AoE immobilize: Cover Fire: Spray a machinegun and cause DoT + immobilization in a cone and debuff the range/perception of enemies affected. -
Need to just hit 50 with one build, then switch to the other and leave it at lv1 with nothing slotted. Join some trials and see if anyone notices. >.>

Well, Mr. Awesome (or The Hulk, or Spiderman) don't belong to anyone unless actually claimed in some way like a copyright or trademark.
If you create Mr. Awesome in your head you would be free to copyright or trademark him. If you create him within CoH/V... that MAY -I do not know- give them the right to claim him, but that doesn't mean they do automatically or that they would at all.
The Hollywood Producer might call them instead of you though, if that's where he sees it... -
I used to have an electric blaster, and I seem to remember that it has another effect kind of like KD where the enemies stop fighting for about a second and a half and react to being attacked with an electrified spazm type animation. On electric melee it's an actual sleep effect you yourself can break, but for the blast it's just a short stun.

Quote:Your logic is impeccable...Wait holy crap.
MAKE THAT COSTUME CHANGE EMOTE.
No I'm serious. Make me a costume change emote where it looks like a scene transition from a TV show. you know, where a vertical line slides from right to left along the screen, (perhaps with a short campy message box saying "After our heroes change into their SPACE-SUITS") and the only thing that's changed afterwards is the costume...
That would be AWESOME!
To go with it and the set: A travel power for the store. Hover where your character floats around turning randomly, ending up upside down or sideways, etc. Low speed flight, like hover but with no defense bonus.
Make a macro to do the costume change emote and toggle that on! XD -
Quote:Does it? I can't seem to remember people changing costumes much in those shows... Space suits were just 'on' after a scene change like people talking inside the ship, slide right, they are outside the ship in a suit.Good point. A set like this cries out for some themed costume change emotes. I suspect that means that they are already in the works and being held back as a surprise element, but I'll just put in a vote for "yes, please" to one or more CCE's.
IMHO it calls out for big square clunky robot costume parts with spinning widgets and blinking lights. ^^
EDIT--
Oh snap: Zero-gravity-esque animated 'tail' item that is a suit air/power cord!
Amirite? -
Spines. Duh. :P
PBAoE, double cones, DoT aura toggle. -
Trying to narrow myself to just a few characters until I get caught up with all the end game stuff. My spider, my blaster, and lastly I've wanted a Kinetics character for some time but couldn't pick a pair for it. It's a busy set with lots of powers I like and I always like to include leadership. With everything being targetted I would definitely take even tactics.
I could easily ignore my other set on any AT so I was looking for pets/toggles. Dark Control happens to have two neat pet powers, it's AE hold is ranged, and I can take a standard and useful lv1 power (the single hold).
Going to start a Dark/Kin troller and see how it goes. -
Yeah, I decided to drop Frenzy and Omega Maneuver. Lobbing grenades and firing off suppression/channel gun already keeps me pretty busy now and I don't even have all this -recharge yet. It looks like slice/arm lash are a fine combo of their own in melee and I'll want to keep doing channelgun for build up if they did give me a gap. Not to mention Frenzy is easily double the endurance cost of the next highest power even after it's been slotted. I just don't think it's worth it.
I went with fighting. I don't PLAN to tank, but because weave and the incarnate has me still hitting my softcaps without cj/hover and I can use boxing as a disorient set holder instead of electric cages with the same bonuses from immobilize, I was able to take the fighting pool without actually losing a power pick and only a small change in endurance.
I did need to replace the melee defence from frenzy's set so I got provoke(w/ Perfect Zinger) which was on my list of wants originally anyway. This little group of changes makes the character really flexible. I can run him blastery with just defense, or I can off-tank by toggling on the resist aura and taunting a few enemies off the squishies.
I went back and looked at frankenslotting, mostly in the two maneuvers toggles, but I like the double GoTAncients set's -recovery because the net loss vs frankenslotting is small and that bonus applies even if one or both of those are turned off.
I also took your advice on Vengeance and included that.
With the pool freed up from leaping I went back to recall friend / teleport and kept my KB resist up there at 12 even without the IO from Karma.
Fine tuning the last couple of slots brought me back to Wolf Spider Armor for a free resist slot. I tried miracle in health, but I'm at the law of 5 on that recovery number so I used a weaker set to get a weaker recovery bonus. If tweaking was done, those are what I would tweak. Maybe a proc in suppression or frag grenade would be better than the small recovery increase from the miracle set...
I think I'm good to go, but who knows what I'll want to change when I get there!

Damage, recovery, and recharge are all significantly higher in the new build and I like my power options a lot more. -
Just logged back in and the respec worked fine...
None of those things were true at the time it wasn't working. The only thing I can think of is that I was set as not accepting group invites. Don't know how or why that would matter but it's the only thing different between now and when it didn't work. :/ -
My spider is 32, I just respecced him successfully (Crab). I switched builds and went to respec his second build for a Bane. When I finish respeccing the bane build it doesn't actually respec me and I get a pop-up that says 'Respec Failed' and my only option is to click 'OK'. Global chat log shows no message.
I tried waiting the 10min for the build switch timer in case that was it, but I could switch builds now if I wanted and the respec still fails! -
I dropped a lot of the endurance reductions. I don't know what I was thinking putting one in Combat Jumping /facepalm so with only two slots sets might not beat IO's anymore, and since I'm at softcap on all defenses I might just not need to, but I'll play with it some more.
BotZ was for AoE defense and KB protection, but I like your way better. I will drop some of them and get Aegis and Gaussian's Synchronized Fire Control. I did not know the two AoE bonuses in the same set stacked, I had thought one would replace the other because of the wording on paragon wiki... something like 'half' IIRC, made me think I got half the bonus at one point and the full bonus later. I also didn't know toggles checked for procs! Might have to re-evaluate a few sets just on that account, since I'm running so many toggles.
I'm torn on tough/weave. I could easily fit them if I dropped all my travel, but that seems irresponsible to the team, annoying solo, and frankly I LIKE having my own travel powers. I think I'm going to keep going forward with roughly what I posted +/- the two sets you suggested, and see just how much I find myself tanking at the end game.
What about Omega Maneuvers? Is that worth taking? It seemed great at first because it had no drawbacks but I realize now it's superior and not extreme damage. I was thinking of saving a bunch of slots and swapping that for the pool AE taunt. Again, not trying to pull a ton of aggro, just a few enemies off the right person at the right time. -
-
Unless something in here is downright impossible, I don't care about expense. I will use whatever else I can find until I get what I've got planned and go with the flow. Chasing these things is part of the game!
I've always found that the idea of an off-tank is completely lost on a lot of CoH players for some reason, and it's my favorite position to play. So I made this spider specifically to provide ranged AoE a little closer then a blaster would like to be, and then melee whatever aggro he pulls, or smack around the aggro that the other squishies pull. I don't think I'll need fighting to take just a handful of enemies, but I did make sure to take melee/AoE defense to 45%.If I find I need it, I could swap the teleport powers for fly powers and keep all the same sets, but free up a pool and pick to take the AoE taunt.
I have ACCuracy IO's in a few places here. That's on purpose. I did not need the set bonuses in those cases to hit my goals, and I wanted the accuracy + Tactics for shooting at high defense targets and for when I'm debuffed. If I find I don't need them, I would swap them for various procs.

Quote:lol yeah.Dear god, this, yes. Not only for astronaut types, but because character designs like this will finally be possible:
I don't know how complicated it would be to add a non-transparent, maybe even metallic version of the helmet. But if it's possible at this stage of development, that would be all kinds of amazing. You could even put the non-transparent version in under the Full Helmets category so you don't have to clutter up the Detail 2 list with more "Bubble Helmet" options. It'd still be fitting the Retro Sci-fi theme with astronaut usages, or making a mysterious space-traveler, but would also allow for an incredibly wide variety of other uses, as well.
That's what I was going for... more use from the part than just a bubble helmet. (Not that a bubble helmet isn't useful!) -
Would it be possible to get the dome done in metallic? Thinking gold coating on NASA helmets. Googled image: http://eric.diluccio.fr/wp-content/u...-suit-opti.jpg

Quote:This is true and brilliant, but not relevant to the topic at all.Obviously I posted a big rant before, but this is exactly my point - you do not want customers to think this. You want them to always feel safe buying from you.
No company in the world can save themselves from people who buy things they don't understand. If you buy a car and it's a lemon, you want to feel safe you can get a new one. But if you buy a car and ram it into a tree because you THOUGHT you understood the pedal system you do not go blaming the car company.
That's why the store says ALL SALES ARE FINAL. You buy it, it's yours to use, squander or destroy. They are not liable for a person's poor decisions and buying/claiming/using something They didn't understand was a poor decision unless made experimentally. They are not liable for a person's mistakes, and thinking they understood it was their mistake.
Customer service should not even be in the conversation. You can't tunnel vision on just this one person. If CS took those kinds of requests and alterations after people bought things that's all CS would do. Their queue would fill with "woops can I exchange this costume part...", "oops wrong character...", "Um I picked the wrong server can I move my character again for free PLZ PLZ PLZ"... that is, if it already isn't.
>.>
Yes. Every item should have a tool tip.
Yes. Customer service is important.
No. This guy is not an exception to the sales are final rule. -

New AT: Sidekick / Henchmen
Melee/support. No defense set, low HP. No range in any of their sets, and all support skills are also melee range or melee PBAoE size so they have to run all over the place to heal people and hit things. Limited to two pool power sets, can not take missions of their own, and does not get half their power/slot picks, instead they get free tailor tokens on those levels so they can make sure to stay worse looking than their superior.
All secondary sets start with a 60sec recharge self rez at 10%hp 100% stamina as the first pick, but the power requires a friend to be targeted and in melee range. (Friend can be incapacitated!) -
I want to warn you because I have a 460 and I'm running into an overheating issue making my PC reset with CoH. Googled around and keep reading things (including on CoH forums) about the way NVidia software works doesn't recognize openGL as a need to compensate for the load the card is under.

I was going to start a MM after work tonight, I could do freedom with it instead of Virtue and join you on Sundays, but I work Sunday nights at 7pmEST and I'm not very familiar with the new end game stuff. How long does this event run? I could stay for about three and half hours.

Play the game windowed. You can fullscreen the window (so it still has a title bar but fits the screen) and everything. Just make sure it's in windowed mode.
I don't know the technical side of this fix, but it worked for me with CoH when this happened on my last PC.
