Zek, the quote was from Posi if I remember correctly back about two years ago. It was similar to this. "Scrappers will never get dual pistols." I remember it being Scrappers as an AT because that was the archetype that I was mostly playing at the time.

Really nice guide PK. This should be stickied at the top of every forum.

This has been happening forever. I'm pretty sure it is part of the same problem as oil slick not lighting, toggle drop during zoning, etc. The client and/or server only sends commands once and if the server and/or client misses it due to a lost or late packet then too bad. It sticks or resets depending on the programming behind the power. More client side programming to detect power state and correct based off of retransmits to the server could help. Of course that would slow the client and server down doing stuff that really isn't game breaking.
This is common in all systems that use UDP protocol to transmit data. UDP is non-deterministic in that there is no guarantee that the packet ever gets to the destination and no way to determine that it did or did not make it.
The upside is UDP is cheap, fast and used in nearly every gaming system on the market. The downside is that it is subject to packet loss with no corrective measure for the lost packet.
The only real solution is to go back to TCP/IP for packet control which will slow the game to a crawl or implement a packet checking system which again will slow the system to a crawl. -

I made a DK got his sword then... Nuttin. Just no interest in playing a toon that is preleveled.

If I remember correctly it's something like this:
/macro Squid "powexecname Dark Nova$$GotoTray 9"
Edit: Scooped while doing actual work. -
Never even logged in. However on a different game and subject, my phail druid is coming along nicely.

I printed out cards last year. I think my total outlay postage and all was under $30. I'm pretty sure I could have done it for a lot less if I had bought a box of stock cards.

*sigh* I was hoping that the vacation from stupidity would be permanent after last month. I guess not.
None of the people who posted here need the exploit. As T said, we are just that good. -
There are too many folks that I admire to even think about filling a single dream team. Pretty much anyone from The Krakatoans, RSF Regulars, STF Masters, and Jello Shooters would be right up there.

I've missed you Ish. I'd hug you, but then I know where you've been...
The wet paper bag I put Badge in must have been thicker material or he is still reading the comic book I left in there. -
Quote:Absolutely. I expect new players to make mistakes. When you have the 42+ month veteran badge, I expect you to at least have a clue.It may look like there's specific behavior expected from team mates / powersets / archetypes, but really, I'm guessing that this venting is aimed more at experienced players who should "know better".
I love teaming with new players that ask questions and I truly enjoy answering them. Hopefully I will impart some knowledge that will help you play better. I also enjoy it when veteran players admit that they don't know it all and that there might be a better way of doing something. A good portion of that time that veteran player is me. There are certain players that I have ran with who know so much more than I do, I feel like the village idiot. Anytime I get the chance, I try to run with them. I learn so much in one short task force it's like cramming a Calculus class into one week.
Welcome to Protector David. Enjoy your stay. Join Jello Shooters global channel in game. We are a lot more friendly than this thread shows. -
1) People that ignore instructions. EG The last mish on Katie, "If you don't have fly or haven't done this please stay at the entrance."
2) Rockin the aura.
3) "I don't like (insert buff name here). " *facepalm
4) "We need a (insert AT powerset here)."
5) "We need a full team." Granted I try to fill teams, but if after a few minutes of searching I'm usually ready to give it up and go.
There are more, but that is pretty much my top five in no particular order. -
Modern Warfare 2 trailer, although it has been used in nearly every popular FPS ever made that supports add ons. I remember it being in a Counterstrike addon for headshots.

You passed legend status and are currently a myth that we use to frighten small children, pornstars, and the occasional goat.
Currently you are garnering points toward sainthood or schizophrenia, I forget which. Either way it's a win for the server. -
My favorite part is seeing what cards people send. Some people send cards that they create, others send stock cards out of boxes, others send cards that they pick out for each person, and some folks send V-cards. To me it doesn't matter what kind of card it is, I love them all just for the fact that they cared enough to send one.
