Sounds interesting, sign me up if you still have room

The Punisher is back to his normal human self for the Shadowlands series.

Arcee, an existing character in TF lore, is the robo-chick

That comment is ringing bells in my mind, it sounds so familiar. By chance were you at the Shadowrun game room either around 1pm on Friday or 6pm Saturday? God, memory is a bit on the wonky side.

Had my first Shadowrun game at DragonCon and had some great fun, I roled as Street Sam. There was another game I was planning on attending but unfortunately like last year I started to feel ill near the end of the con and had to spend most of that day at the hotel room.

I once had a dream were CoH had a sash belt costume piece and gloves that don't look like oven mitts.

Wasn't part of the reason why Murray agreed to do the movie adaption of Garfield was because he thought it was being directed by the Coen brothers.

Quote:I believe that was the inspiration behind the Knight Morpher Commander fankit.Cool.
There was an official Transformers comic that was essentially a steampunk take on them a while back too. -
Found this when I was cleaning out the garage. Don't recall ever reading the first book, and don't even know how many books are in the series, I think three. Hmmm, wonder what ruleset this book attempts to follow. -
I have the original Motorola A855 Droid and like it. The Droid X and Droid 2 are just about the same. I would say it's a matter of preference if you want an all touchscreen phone or a touchscreen along with a physical keypad. Also size of the phone does matter. The X is big, looks like I can club a baby seal with that thing.
Yeah the $30 data feature is a bit of downer, but it is unlimited data usage on the phone. Heard rumors that it might change sometime this year and VZW will follow what AT&T does with their data feature for smartphones. Also be very careful with the rep that you have, I'm not sure how well you know the sales reps at your local VZW, they might try and steer you to the $45 data corporate plan, which is really only needed for Blackberry phones. -
Holy ****! That was awesome, can't wait for the film to come out.

Quote:I would say that he needs to take some pride in his work then. Honestly it's like Nike endorsing the worst athlete in professional sports, someone inept in playing the game with no skill what so ever.I'd point out that Destro has never really been all that interested in taking over the world.
He's an arms manufacturer. His family has been in the business for generations. He makes a asston of money of selling his military guns, robots and vehicles. Mostly to Cobra, who is ALWAYS buying.
So he's never so much "following a weak leader" as "showing nominal support for an important client."
I personally don't think he cares if Cobra succeeds in anything or not. Just as long as they keep buying.
Also, his girlfriend is in Cobra. So he has to at least pretend he cares.
Cobra was somewhat less inept in GI Joe: Resolute, though.

Quote:Wow that's bad, when you lose to a guy who can't conquer a planet mostly full of idiots.Hard to agree with that one. While yes Skeletor constantly fails, he doesn't have an army most of the time. He has a handful of lackies and only has robots when the plot seems to call for it. Conversely Hordak has conquered Etheria in She-Ra yet everytime Hordak goes up against Skeletor he ends up on the losing end. Skeletor almost killed him in one episode.

Quote:I rolled 19 on one test recently. My Voodoo priestess had occasion to make an auto-rickshaw fly across a stretch of ocean. Of course, I spent Edge and an Aid Sorcery service from one of her spirits for that; she normally only rolls 9 or so for spellcasting and 12 for summoning.
That many! Guess I can try and pick up a few more when I'm at Dragoncon. Castle's post did bring up a good point. That a GM should be able balance a game so one part doesn't feel longer and boring than another. I'm still reading the book, trying to get a feel for it, and seeing what appeals to me and what doesn't -
Tragic, I enjoyed most of his films, Perfect Blue is my personal favorite.

Skeletor from the original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. the Skeletor from Masters of the Universe movie and the recently new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe at least pose a threat. Original Skeletor is about as threating as a wet sponge. However what really places him as worse villain is an episode of He-Man were Teela and Orka state they never seen Prince Adam and He-Man and that's were it clicked. Skeletor is trying to takeover a planet were the general populous is about as smart as a Michael Bay movie plot and failing miserably at it. How terrible of a villain do you have to be if you can't succeed at that.
Another nominee is Destro from the GI Joe series. It's his sheer lack of ambition and laziness that makes me nominate Destro. Destro has been shown to be a better leader than Cobra Commander, but instead of walking up to Cobra Commander, putting a bullet between the eyes, taking over, and showing GI Joe what real terrorism is. He's content to be just follow the guy with a speech impediment. There's a saying "That we are often judged by the company we keep." So if Destro is content on following a guy who has about as much military tactical skill as a fast food chef then what does it say about him. -
Thanks for the advice, I'll look into a street samurai/decker hybrid and see what I pull up

Quote:Have 2, three if I make the attempt to go through my college stuff.I'm gonna be at DragonCon to play a bunch of the Shadowrun Missions games.
It's fun! Just remember to bring fistfuls of D6 dice.

Also, it helps to cultivate a "cynical basterd" personality type for a character. Shadowrunners tend to end up that way.

Unfortunately my only exposure to Shadowrun was the old SNES game. Had a blast and rank it as one of my personal favorites. There's going to be a Shadowrun character workshop at this years DragonCon and I'm going to make an attempt to attend that. Always interested in trying this game out, ordered the book just to see what it's like.

The first part of OMIT pretty much made me prema-drop Spider-Man titles excluding Ultimate Spider-Man. I came back somewhere in the middle of Gauntlet to try to get back in, and then Quesada drops this. Quesada's writting is something that makes fanfics read like epic masterpieces.
-
That really happened. Spidey gets nailed in the head with a Cinderblock by an escaped criminal and then a few panels later when they both fall off a building. The criminal lands on his head, then regains consciousness before Spidey, and kicks him in the head and walks off.
-
If only Spidey had some kind of 6th sense that could warn him of impending danger. Also part 1 revealed what MJ whispered to Mephisto before the deal was made. Pretty much Quesada pins the whole deal as being MJ's idea and not Peter's.
