Wouldn't mind that, just as long as the pencil he's holding is used to draw instead of writing.

Quote:My concern is that Quesada will still be CCO, so he can still be influencing the direction of the books.
As CCO he has to focus on other things too, Marvel TV and Movie products, digital entertainmnet (Video Games), on top of the comic portion. I really don't think it would be wise to focus on one part of the company and approach everything else with minimal work. Hopefully other Marvel projects will keep Joe too busy to focus on the comic portion of Marvel. -
Late February or Early March is my guess when they start to give us some I20 hints.

Quote:Upon hearing the news, Peter Parker got down on one knee in front of Mary Jane Watson...
Would love to see this, but I doubt I'll see it happen any time soon. From what I get the writting staff of the Spider-Man series seem to back Joe up on the Peter and MJ's split. -
According to this Joe Quesada will step down from his EiC duties, but will continue on as Marvel's CCO position and Axel Alonso will carry on as Marvel's new EiC.

Take care Castle, and good luck and hope you have a great 2011.

I forsee a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest starring the Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

My shot in the dark prediction is that Lucas and Fox will start work on doing a remake of the Original Star Wars trilogy.

Holidays hit my wallet hard, and also the fact I have a relative that has a birthday after Christmas puts another ding in my budget. So I'll be skipping this week, but fortunately I have a pull list on at my LCS and I'll just pick up this weeks titles sometime next week. However will keep an eye on this thread, just to see what to remove or add when I go back.

Take care, have fun, enjoy, and remember to have a merry Christmas everyone

I think Ironik is talking about how spoilers alter the experience of a person going to see a movie for the first time vs. seeing a film over and over again and expecting different.

Yeah with it being the Christmas week and all selection for this week and next week will be on the small side for me.
So far I've read the Green Lantern - Larfleeze Christmas Special and honestly felt disappointed with this one. To me it really comes off as Geoff John's attempt at writing a 3rd rate Christmas special.
Batman, Inc 2 was a good read. Interesting to see where Bruce is going to take this Batman, Inc and also did not know that Lord Death Man was a past DC character, but god is that name so hokey. I pray that he goes with Death Man should he come back. -
Gah, turning to the Dark Side doesn't do much one's skin complexion.
-
Check out the Nostalgia Critic Christmas special also, thought it was funny.

Tis the season to be Jolly. So did anyone pick up any new comics this week? At work, however have my brother going out to pick up my comics for me. Said that Nemesis #4 came out, his reaction to it is hilarious.

Here's my take,
Quote:In the news feeds they had of Kevin giving his speech he was going on about the digital frontier. I think Kevin's intent was to eventually bring real people into the digital world. Before the ISOs showed up at best he was designing the Grid to probably to be like Disneyland, an amusement park of sorts. When the ISOs appeared it opened new possibilities. There is a scene were Flynn heals Quorra by removing a piece of bad code. My speculation is that if CLU had not revolted and allowed Kevin to study and research the ISOs he probably could have developed something like that for humans. Imagine bringing a cancer patient into the Grid, bring up their code, find the program that was causing the cancer, remove it, and viola cancer cured. This is what I thought his intent with the ISO and the Grid were.Ok,
Flynn's miracle was what?
Was it
A) He cracked the genetic algorithm and quantum teleportation
B) He discovered the ISOs and they were something
C) He discovered a way for programs to leave the Grid
Quote:How bout...
Why did Flynn want to stay in the Grid?
Quote:Why was the only way to destroy CLU to kill himself?
Quote:Why did CLU care that Flynn got the disc back he had the knowledge he needed because he saw what was on the disc thus he had that knowledge and no longer needed the disc? -
Wondered if that little blurb was really necessary. Me, I went to see the 3D version and enjoyed it but do agree with Ironik that there really isn't much to separate it from the 2D version.

I believe that Durraken is getting all the drubbing because from what I can make out from his posts. He's based all his opinions about Tron Legacy off an internet reviewer's, Spoony, angry rant, and hasn't even seen the movie yet.

An alien battle tank would stick out badly, but I think he might have taken the semi-truck form to mock Optimus Prime.

It was speculated a while back that Megatron gets a new look for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Some images of his DotM toy have been leaked and seem to confirm this. Granted it's a prototype, so the final look might end up different. One thing I noticed is that it looks like they kept the damage that he received to his head near the end of Revenge of the Fallen.

I believe Durakken said that he based his opinion off of Spoony's VBlog review of Tron Legacy. I seen that review and honestly it seems, to me anyways, to be more like an attempt to troll the fanbase then be a review of some kind, but hey the Spoony One is entitled to his opinion. At least he went and saw the movie and ripped it a new one after the fact.

Intro reminded me of Goodfellas or Casino
