How can they be "one of the best" at the latter when they are the lowest damage melee AT in the game, and now there are two ranged ATs with melee attacks that hit harder than the same ones on that Tanker?

Of all the melee ATs, the are the worst offensively by far, and out of all ATs that get melee attacks in their primary and secondary, they are favouring the lower end. You can't be in sixth place out of 10 and be "one of the best."

YOU can't. But I can.

My Inv/SS is still my favorite build. The most versatile, most capable of doing pretty much anything very very well. Inv/EM is also fun, but lacking a Foot Stomp type power makes it just a little lesser for me.

Ice/EM was probably my most fun and exciting tank to play, as I made him waaaaay back in the day before Ice got buffed up some. It was total seat of the pants mayhem from the start.

Stone/Mace... I actually enjoy playing this toon out of Granite way more than I enjoy playing in Granite. Love the stacked armors, love the mace animations.

WP/Axe has been entertaining. I'm not ga-ga over WP like everyone seems to be, but its functional, and I do like axing stuff.

Fire/Dark has been a lot more fun than I had expected. Lots of good synergy between the sets. Cant wait a few more levels for Midnight Grasp/Burn/Blazing Aura action.

Shield/Stone is still just a wee one. I'll let you know. But, so far, I love the Shield animations. They did a great job there.

Earth/Storm absolutely kills. When you want to, you can pretty much bring everything and everyone to a screeching halt. Tons of slowing, disorients, lots of -def. The two powersets stack together very nicely. A little slow starting off to solo, but once things pick up, it just rolls. And in large team settings, its even better. TONS of "control" (provided your team can handle all the noise, flash, and chaos.. lol)

Whoever told you Inv/SS isn't any good was lying out their teeth to you. Inv/SS was my first character, my first 50, has done pretty much damn near everything you can do in this game, and is still by far and away my favorite toon to play. If you need any help putting together a build you like, let me know. I'll be glad to chip my $.02 in for you.

So I take the family out for lunch on Saturday. Sitting at a table near ours is a clutch of teenage girls. One of them is wearing these jeans that are just super low slung on her hips, and I kid you not, she's got a couple of inches of crack showing. So of course, my daughter (in the non-modulated full-throated voice of a 5 year old) proceeds to ask me "Daddy, why is that girl's butt showing?"

It was like that old EF Hutton commercial, where everything comes to a complete silence.... and then people started laughing and looking around and pointing. I thought my wife's head might explode from embarrassment, and the girl in question too. But, the moment passed, and all was fine. Until we got up to leave, and as we're going, my 3 year old son actually drops a penny into the aforementioned crack.

My oldest daughter was born a couple of weeks before CoH launched, and I've been here on and off since the beginning. So, yeah... I've a seen a lot of growing up... on both sides... lol

I have an Archery/Ice blaster that I run as a pure shooter. Once you get Ice Patch, it becomes ridiculously easy to lay a patch down, pull a mob onto it, and then lay waste to them with a Rain/Fistful/Explosive combo. The holds and slows available make it a very good soloable set (which I do mostly) Plus its fun, because its just not a combination I've run into too often.

My wife finds it disturbing that I can pull one of hundreds of comic books characters names and stories off the top of my head, that I can quote Caddyshack or Animal House almost verbatim, and that I remember random statistical things about the NBA from 1973, but that I still can't remember her sisters' birthdays.

You make a rather ridiculously arrogant assumption here about what a kin's "job" is. Last I checked, there are 9 powers in the Kinetics set, of which SB is merely one. A kin's "job" is to use their powers (THEIR powers mind you, not yours) to buff and help the team out in whatever way they deem best. Don't go calling someone a lazy or a bad player because they don't play THEIR toon the way YOU want them to.

As a rule, when I'm playing my Kin, anyone who constantly nags and begs for SB doesnt get it, or gets it last. I know what the hell I'm doing, and I'll get to it when I'm damn good and ready. And if you really need it that badly, well, you've got deeper issues.

As a tank, I never ask for it, not even when running my Stoner, because I know precisely how rude and annoying it is to have someone harping about it constantly. And I assume that that particular Kin on my team actually knows what they are doing. Its just common courtesy.

I can easily pay subs for two games. The question is, do I move my other accounts from CoX to CO at that time and keep this one around just for giggles or just have the one here and one there.

2 kids:

4 year old daughter who is convinced she is the Queen of the Universe, and that everyone else must act accordingly. Smart as hell already, and making dad seriously worry about life in about 10 years. She's already started reading stuff, and gets impatient that she's not learning faster. And she thinks Tom & Jerry cartoons are the coolest things in the world... which they are.

2 year old son, chip off the old block. Utterly fearless, and lacking in common sense for the most part as well. Cute as a button, smart too, figured out running before he figured out walking... his favorite hobbies are wrestling our rottweiler, and getting women to pick him up and hug him (i blame my wife for the boob obsession, but she says its MY fault...)

As for #3... well.. I'll let the wife get back to you about that... lol
