  1. I'm experiencing this, but just on doing any random MA arc, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. There are a few arcs created by some of my friends that I am able to play and some that I can't. I'm guessing a bug w/ today's patch.
  2. Arc Name: The Hive Connection
    ID: 96660
    Faction: Hero
    Creator: @UltraBatz
Length: 5 missions, short and medium maps
Enemies: Custom, Devouring Earth, Praetorian minions
Difficulty: Medium/Hard, Elite Bosses, no AVs
    Suggested Level: 45+
    Estimated Playtime: 45 min

Description: Since Hami Raids were a significant portion of my gaming experience, I wanted to create a story centered around that. I also wanted to pay homage to some of my fellow players on Triumph Server, so I included some of the more memorable players from our server into this story. Some of the cameos are from players who have already left the game, other cameos are from players who were not well-liked, and still others are from those who were well-respected. In all cases, each player has been memorable to me and I've tried to re-create them with as much accuracy as I could. I even tried to go as far as researching who was the 1st successful hami raid leader on Triumph server and incorporating him into the story, although I was still a fledgling hero when that happened and I only read about that on the forums when I was still new to the game. I'm proud of the storyline I was able to come up with and I feel it's clever enough to get you thinking a little (hint: having some knowledge of the hami raids will help a bit in one mish). The main point of this arc is the storyline, so there's no uber XP here for the PL'ers or grinders, but I've still tried to balance the game play as much as possible. Long time veteran players on Triumph would probably appreciate this arc most since it goes into a small part of the history on our server, but it's still enjoyable story for anyone who's not from Triumph. Have fun, and thanks for playing!

correction- this is not on Test, was supposed to post on the thread for Live, re-posted this over there

Of course, if you're odd like me and attach a different title to every costume, you have redo your costume change keys everytime they make a change like this. Sigh.

I'm going to me very annoyed if they ever make it so you can't set gladiator names as titles.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You're not so odd- I do the same thing, and yes I also have to edit my binds everytime they apply an update like this (though it's not so bad- I just export my binds to the keybinds.txt file, edit the 4 costume key binds in notepad, then re-import back into my toon )
  9. The numbers seem to have changed- I used to be able to use the settitle command for the Immortal badge, now that particular badge number sets the title for the Shrouded badge. I think all the badge numbers have been offset due to the addition of the new badges, but I haven't had time to play around with alot of them.
  10. Welcome back Red Tomax! Man, I never realized how much I use this site! We're back in business! woot!

What do you mean by this? When everyone comes to Hami for the attack phase, it evidently will cause lots of lag to the point that holders can not only lose sight of Hami but sometimes even lose sight of the pets they're targetting, and thus holds on Hami can be lost. Just want to verify if you're only using ranged attacks at this point. If there is a way to bring Hami's health down to defeat and avoid this lag, that would be very helpful. Please give more detail on this. Thanks!

    [/ QUOTE ]

The current Pinnacle strategy is known as "attackless" since we have no attack phase as such.

When the raid leader is confident that Hamidon is held, they call for resistance and regen debuffs. With these debuffs, the damage from holds (with containment) and the allowed pets is enough to drop Hamidon's HP at a reasonably fast pace without adding any players (and very few additional powers) to the mosh pit.

This has been extremely effective in avoiding crashes.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's a very useful tip! I might suggest to try that at our upcoming raids. Off the top of your head, can you just name some of the powers that debuff regen and resist? (I'm a scrapper at heart and not too keen on controller buffs and debuffs and such ). I will also research the powersets to find out the desired powers. Thanks again- good info!

I usually lose Hami, have never lost sight of pets and never heard of people doing so. Has this happened to you or is it anecdotal? I have had trouble targetting pets through the crowd. Zoom out, look down from above usually eases this issue.

    [/ QUOTE ]

yup, it's happened to me and I'm now seeing other people on my server mention that they even lose sight of the pet they're targetting once the attack phase starts and the massive lag starts due to too many heroes converging on one spot.

I did discover recently for myself during the attack phase that if I was hovering high over head hami and targetting him and then turn away from hami and thus away from the area of lag, my lag goes away and I don't lose sight of hami at all.
  13. Very nice Hami guide. Just had one question:

Instead of an attack phase, Hamidon is held to defeat.

  14. Hey, Voyager. Just wanna tell you that your stories are awesome! Keep up the great work cause I'm enjoying every episode and anticipating the next one!

What I also get a kick out of is encountering these characters in the game as real players! I mostly see them in the Hive during the raids now, but I feel like a star-struck kid in Hollywood (or should we say "Hollow-wood" for a really bad pun?) when I see you guys! lol! Now that's awesome!
