I really want to make a /Ice Corruptor. I was scanning through the primaries and I was trying to pick a primary that would be ideal for solo play but also one I haven't made before. The choices I was looking at were:
Fire, Ice, Sonic, Rad, Energy, or maybe Dark.
Can someone share some insight? -
What about if you didn't have Powerboost?
-
Thanks guys
-
Does the Singularity spam its single target hold? If so, is it possible to perma-hold an AV as a Dominator then? Is it possible without Singularity if it is possible?
-
I just noticed this, is the detailed information incorrect? Or is there a disparity between the powersets? Why is this?

They should really add the user name. Someone left some nasty profanity in one of my rep comments and I have no way to report it because I don't know who it is.
-
Because it raises rep when you post a lot. The more you post the more rep you get too over time.
-
Oh wow thanks I didn't know this either and I was wondering too. Very nice
-
I got an Elec/Energy Aura brute that is pretty fun. Once you get your patron pool AOE it makes for nice farming.
-
Yeah was testing the new forums right after they had came up. Lets hope I16 soon.
-
Perhaps in Going Rogue it might. I hope it comes again.
-
Well it looks like the more you post the more Rep Power you get and points. It wasn't retroactive but I noticed by posting my rep started going up. Clearly this encourages spam.

This person (Or thing?) is referenced so much in COV yet I cannot find what exactly it is. I've searched Paragon Wiki to no avail. What is Interpol?

I also forgot to add that on that board too you are able to SEE who gives you positive or negative rep. On this board it is set to hidden but on that board it displays the user's comment, the user's name, and the points deducted or given. Frankly, I think that alleviates some of the griefing because you can't sniper neg.
On this board I've already gotten some negs with comments like "HAHAHHA" or "j." -
Quote:There is a board I go to (Bodybuilding.com) that uses that. The moderators there have so much rep power they can give someone a negative rep and they essentially go "Perma-Red." Basically, (and same thing applies to this board) -- If 100 people give you positive rep, but one person with rep power doesn't like you and "Negs" you (Neg is what we call there for negative rep) then you will go red. He's now the third most reputable forum poster.
BTW, I went to the vBulletion site and found out some more stuff about Rep:
A user has two values associated with them: Reputation and Rep Power.
Reputation is the total amount of positive or negative Reputation you have.
Rep Power is the amount of Rep you can give or take away from another user. Rep Power can be set by the board owners to be based on three variables:
1. How long a person has been registered.
2. How many posts they have.
3. How much personal Reputation (or lack thereof) they currently enjoy.
What values have been set by our Mods, I do not know. But theoretically, a long time and prolific poster who has been given a lot of Reputation can give or take a big chunk of Reputation from another user. -
Quote:Wait what? Where did we find out what the "Coming Storm" was? What is it?Most of the items you've listed weren't just "swept under the rug", though. Both the City Vault and CoP trial were shelved due to technical issues: the Vault because as it was coded, it was causing massive, game-breaking lag on even the internal servers, and the CoP because there were exploit issues which would require some time and specialized attention to resolve. Also, with base construction/raiding and PvP both still in long-term states of reworking (Paragon's development schedule has been thrown off a couple of times; case in point: we should've already found out what "The Coming Storm" was, but that had to be pushed back a bit to accommodate the big projects that the studio has been working on since they were acquired by NCSoft), there's no real point to add the CoP trial back to the game until everything else associated with it is up and fully running.
Making SG membership based on global accounts was never anything that was even remotely set in stone; the last thing said about it was that it would be looked into. Maybe the idea couldn't make it past that point? Incarnates as an epic AT might still be in the works; the fact that both the "Origin of Power" arc and the Cimeroran content talk about it could certainly be a precursor to it being added to the game. As for HOs being 33%? Well, I'm not privy to the design theory behind that. Maybe you should try PMing a dev about it. In my own opinion, however, they now represent a nice accompaniment to IOs. If you're looking to maximize the effectiveness of enhancers and aren't too caught up in getting set bonuses, mixing IOs and HOs is usually the way to go. And as for the War Walls, they do come down ... every time the Rikti attack. Sometimes, things aren't meant to be taken literally
Some of the features you mentioned would be nice to have, and we may still have them at some point. Others are likely never going to see the light of day. But please don't assume that the devs just kinda shrugged and went to work on something else. There are reasons for everything. -
Actually I forgot about the War Walls thing. I always thought the goal was to try and make the world seamless like World of Warcraft.

A bit off topic, my Veteran rewards were bugged and they had to award my 60 month badge via a petition... what worries me is that the 63 month badge is not showing up on my account information for the day I will receive it. Any idea if yours showed up?
-
Don't worry I wish we could check if people had enhancements. I recruited people for an ITF who later I found out they did NOT slot ANY enhancements... they were 50.

While the forums were down the tier program for access to Going Rogue closed beta was announced. I assume this will be similar to how City of Villains worked where (For those that don't remember) people with 1 year or more of game time got access to the beta first. However, back then there was so many people with 1 year of time the waves nearly lasted the entire closed beta.
Now we have a new tier program announced:
Tier 1 (Which I assume means first) is 60 month veterans.
Tier 2 is people that stay loyal (Subscribed) between now and Nov. (I am going to guess this means we should see Going Rogue beta start perhaps in Oct so that T2 gets in Nov)
Tier 3 is people that pre-order.
Now I am one of the (few?) 60 month+ veterans out there. I wonder though just how many of us are there. Do you think it will take several waves or perhaps we make up such a minute number of the player base now we all might get in first wave? -
Can Mind take alphas? I want to make a Dominator that can start a fight. I assume yes with Mass Confusion and stuff?
-
Almost to 25 on my Grav/Psi dominator and I am struggling. Solo is pretty tough and in missions I feel like I don't contribute to the team control wise. Additionally, my controls have a smashing component which is annoying since a lot of foes have defense against it. Does Gravity get a lot better? I am really hoping Worm Hole and Singlularity change my mind.
I am almost thinking I should of gone with Mind for a primary since I tend to login and solo a bit... -
Does anyone want rep? I will be a nice guy and rep you (I have a lot so it will give you a lot of points). Just leave a reply in this thread and I will rep you.
