  1. Last time I checked, my fire tank had no ability to hold or immobolize. Stunning was never a guarantee. Sure, I could team with a controller, but what for? No way to manage the aggro with the fear factor, at least, not very well. And why share xp with a controller? I get much more xp just as fast solo. I don't want to be having to taunt every 8 seconds for some squishy who doesn't enjoy working with a tank anyway.

    Ok, before this test, I needed some inf to replace a damage slot with a recharge slot to see how fast burn would recharge.

    Well, that wasn't like it was earlier today. So, I took another damage out and replaced with a recharge redux (level 50 SO).

    In facing the AV, I found that I could still hold aggro - but she was just one foe. My HP did not drop very much at all. I only wish the controller (Yil) had been on Triumph, my server instead of Justice so we could have compared the experience.

    Here's the only truly objective suggestion I can make.
    If we are supposed to get close to cap or reach our caps (resistance and defense caps) with buffs from teammates, why not work it so that with o2 or AM the recharge for burn be fast enough so that there is less than a 20 second delay for the recharge. With 6 slotted hasten (50++ So's) and 4 level 53 damages and 2 level 50 Recharges, the delay was too long in my opinion. The delay did encourage me to use my stone secondary, however, with the increased drag on endurance, this was noticed quickly. I had plenty of 50% CAB's, so I wasn't too worried.

    On a bright note, even with only 4 damages in burn, it still melted a herd of even cons with one burn. (recall, I have level 53 SO's)
    Additionally, my blazing aura is slotted with 2 taunts and one accuracy. SO the only other damage from BA is the base amount.

    Summary
    Consider reducing the recharge time for burn to be close to what it is now if given buffs.

    Why?

    It seems that from Issue 4, you guys have some idea about "balance". Well, gee, that's just fine.

    Have all AT's have one small scale DoT.
    Have all AT's have a way to self heal.
    Have all AT's have a way to "hold/immobilize" a foe
    Have all AT's have a way of sniping.
    Have all AT's have a way of one shotting a bad guy, properly enhanced.

    Wait, doesn't that make them all the same? Is that what you're after?

    Why is it so important to you to encourage teaming? What are the task forces for?

    I enjoy soloing. I like my burn. I like being able to help stupid blasters out of debt so they can finally get a defensive power like tough or weave, as some defense is better than none.

    I just don't get why you have taken something that was never broken and trying to fix it.

    I have played my invuln tank 160 hours, total. If you proceed with your suggested changes, you will have effectively, stolen my time from me. I invested that time in that toon to be something special. Why do I have to go on test server and try different things with him to see if I can make him special under your new rules? Why aren't you paying me for my time? WHY?
    Because, apparently, I am an idiot. All of us are. We bought this game because of a penchant for heroics. We pay the monthly fee for various reasons.

    Please tell me why you think reducing burns damage is going to make me want to play more insstead of less.
    Please tell me why you think that lowering resistance to invuln is going to make me want to play the game more?

    Are you not concerned with resubscriber rates?
    I may not leave, but plenty others will. Sure, you will get new players. I just would think that you would want me to play and pay more, not less.

    Why didn't you leave well enough alone? Why change anything? When being a fire tank was so uber, I was an empath defender. When being a regen scrapper was in, I was a blaster. We play what is fun for us. That will be different for different people. I ask you again, how do these changes improve your subscriber rates in the short run or in the long run?
    Admittedly, some things are just too easy for a tank, given their high HP. So, why not let each hero have the same HP?
    Why alter the set defining power?

    How will that make me play more?
