The news clipping was AFTER the rikiti war. I think.....maby anyways so it was already decimated and thusly deemed Boomtown.

I really liked the article though. The clockwork have always been my favorite enemies. It made me sad when I noticed there was no backround story for the Clocks but now there is. Nicely written and explained.

Actualy I dont really like any of your suggested improvements. Becaues lets say with
opt 1: Johnny X just unlocked the Tanksmasher. Now he must choose to take a powerful unit and run the gambit of not haveing enough points to balance a team or choose a large force of weak units and run the risk someone is useing warhulks/AMoA/longbow wardens. OOPS! Its not fun anymore now that his options have been nerfed sideways.

Opt2: No one would diversify teams anymore. They would just find the best way to cram as many minios and LT's onto the feild and pray for the rum shot Jimmy V felt like playing with his boss brigade today. Since no one would want to be undermanned with 4 heavy bosses VS 15 moderate minios and LT's well lets leave it at that. And since there would be over inflated minios teams about well My comp barely handels 6 man free for all. leave it at that.

Opt3: This woul just make it so people will only want to make teams of longbow wardens or just randomly click. Sure it would be cool to have outcast sluggers take down a CPT but really thats just.....no. the reason that alot of classes are diverse is to encourage good stratagy and have fun win or lose.

So maby it would just be easier to nerf the offending partys. The ones I can anmely think of are AMoA and calibans. The longbow warden may be in on it also. And to upgrade or replace the underpowerd partys such as the outcast sluggers or longbow nullifiers.

I cannot speak for any Mook/Cobra users as I havent played CoV much since beta. To busy enjoying my new CoH features.

Some one told me (and then another person told me the same thing) the raider engineer is for completeling a story arc (which I happen to be right in the middle of said arc)...could be wrong but I really dont want to think all my work and 2 team wipes have been for nothing....

MY best geuss is the arch-mage of agony is for dinging 30. Ive seen 4 people with it and most of them share no common badges. The only thing linking them is the fact they are level 30. Also I have yet to see a -30 have that badge.

I saved like 5 pages. I think someone posted saying they had saved it all but I have no idea.

Ubermind dived behind a pile of rubble as a flurry of missals roared past. A Invulnerable tank grabbed and thourly returned one of the missiles to its sender.

Ubermind thought slowly. How many months had the battle carried on? One? Two? No three it was definitely three. It started about 3 months and half a week ago. There had been a explosion on striga island wiping out anything alive there and in the waters around it for about 3 miles. Soon after there was a reported dimensional rift in peragine that was quickly covered up.

He paused to stand and fire a volley of shots across the area. He collapsed as another volley of missals returned his shots and again the tank returned a missile. He returned to his train of thought as he loaded some explosive rounds. The incident at portal corps was followed by the tram lines to Croatoa being severed faster than a knife goes through water. That’s when it began. Statesman, Manticore, Positron and the rest of the freedom phalanx assembled under the Atlas statue interrupting a costume contest.

They announced a interdimensional enemy had been responsible for the attack that had cut off Croatoa. He assured us that the enemies would be beaten back before the end of the month if not in a few days. That was before anyone knew who we were fighting. Mere moments after Statesman's speech did a rally of equal copies of the Freedom Phalanx burst through the fading war walls.
The battle was drawn off and far but that left the emerging enemies. They were quick to emerge as if on rehearsed from the sewers right after the Freedom Phalanx and their copys were gone. Most of them only looked like Vazilholk or Lost but we soon discovered that was because they only used a projection of those around them. The square then filled with duplicates and triplicates of all kinds.

The battle to push them out of the area was intense but it was won. However moments later news was spread that police bots on patrol in Baumton, Faultline and Talos Island were busy fighting back copies of themselves. It wasn’t long before the remaining heroes were rallied and a counter offensive launched.

3 months later the story was different. No more counter offensives or contact from the freedom phalanx. Just a war to survive. Baumton or boomtown as it was called had been over run and the mirror enemies were spilling into north Steel Canyon. Faultine hadn’t been over run so fast because the heavy Vahzilholk, Circle of thorns and clockwork presence had slowed them. Also they were mounting footholds by using clockwork copies to build bases in the deep crevices.

Quietly noting to himself to check his fire and not hit any real heroes Ubermind stood and his rounds played across the chest of some over improved clockworks. The enemy could mix and match with each other and the only reason there wasn’t a army of statesmen running about was that they to seemed to enjoy a personal quality and to stand out amongst each other. Ubermind dived away as another barrage of missals roared from the falling missile launching clocks. The tank hero was caught off guard and took the rounds hard. Then he splattered across the field.

Ubermind's only thought was that this would be a long war.
