I normally don't post very often on these boards, but this has prompted me to do so. I knew that when I saw it was "re-activation weekend" that the Rikti zone invasions would continue throughout the weekend, at least.
However, on Monday after the "re-activation weekend" was over, they shut off the Rikti zone invasions. Here is the thing that prompted me to post, and I want the Devs to think about this one for just a minute or two. If you have the Rikti zone invasions active during the "re-activation weekend", I shall presume it was to show-case the event and hopefully prompt some people to reactivate their accounts for at least a month or two? Why, then, did you shut down the event immediately following the "re-activation weekend"?!? It almost seems like an implicit promise to continue to provide the content that enticed them to come back to the game, and then to discontinue it almost makes it seem like some sort of MMORPG 'bait-and-switch' scam. Now don't get me wrong, I love the game and play it almost daily, and I don't intend for that to be þ좣iñÿ and complaining, but I could see how it could be seen like that by some people.
I have to say that this event seems to be very much enjoyed by almost all the players, and I have seen more positive comments and responses, in both quantity and in "quality/enthusiasm", about this event, than I have for a long, long time. It seems to be very-well received, by most, and has engendered more friendliness/friendships than anything else than I can remember. I know the Devs said they could bring the event back, whenever, and for however long they wanted, at any particular time they wanted. I might suggest that they bring it back for at least two or three days at a time, every three or four days or so, over the next month or two. (Give the Rikti time to recover from the last series of attacks and re-marshall their forces, re-arm and re-equip, make repairs, whatever.) That would satisfy the long-time players {I have the Committed badge...} that definitely/desparately want to see more of the Rikti zone invasions, and satisfy those people who re-activated their accounts, hoping to continue to see more of the Rikti in next few upcoming weeks.
For those seeking the accolade and maybe having troubles, I can offer this one major word of advice:
[u]GROUPS!![u] Here is a successful game plan to get your accolades: As soon as you see a warning that Rikti are headed for a specific zone, head there immediately at your top speed. As soon as you enter the zone, start broadcasting for a Rikti group. Hunt and destroy bombs as best you can, but GET INTO A GROUP! Remember to communicate with your group about bombs you find, and look for their requests for help with other uxb's. Once the bombing runs are over and your group has destroyed all their bombs, head immediately towards the vicinity of the trainer for the zone, to participate in the final stand battles. You'll know where everyone is gathering by the umbrella of blue names.

(Keep spacing tight for heals...!!) Get in the center, throw your most massive and/or AoE attacks, and target the Heavies when they come. Follow this plan and the accolades will come easily, but the key to both success/survival in the Rikti invasions is 8-man groups! Your teammates *will* help you immensely!!!
Edit: Stupid spelling bugs!!
