William was in a wheelchair outside the facility holding the hand of his loving wife like he expected it ripped away.
"So Hamidon's a blob, the Rikti are still here, almost all the heroes of the world died and the city is over-run with crime, viscious gangs and freaks bent on either conquering or destroying the world... should've stayed in a coma"
Elizabeth giggled; his sense of humour was still there but his physical recovery was still a long way off. The orderly arrived ready to take him to therapy. He looked round and with a grimace looked back to his wife.
"Time for more therapy I guess. I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Of course" she replied. Almost not wanting to let go, William held as long as he could as she walked slowly away. -

Does anyone else think they would be better to just reset the Hami Raid back to days of old? As the amount of raids since the new tactics is now none existent. I dont care about you ppl who think it was boring, the fact is it was better doing it once a week, rather than never.
[/ QUOTE ]I think the new tactic is fine but the zone limit and lack of adequate defense capabilities (Mitos even penetrate phase-shift now) along with the 50-man instance limit which hinder raids.

Unfortunately, I wont be able to participate, as much as I'd like to - RL work.
[/ QUOTE ]Same here although if it's still going by the time I get in I can join in. -
Steel Canyon Neural Research Center, 20th October 2007
An alarm sounds through the hallways, "code blue" is the call from the staff as they race with a defibrillator to suite 15 only to be stopped by one of the residents.
"It's okay" he said in a calming voice and as they panicked he pointed to the man standing at the window looking out on the city surroundings, the tall buildings, the fire down below being started by Hellion arsonists and stopped by passing heroes.
"Where am I?" he asked, calmly and with a strange autority...
9th October 2007
Elizabeth Benedict was visiting suite 15 where her husband, William, lay comatose. She made a point of visiting every day as she had done for the last 5 years. Today she had made a choice, a difficult choice which would decide her husband's future. An experimental technique which could restore him or potentially kill him. If it worked, they would reap the benefits of advanced neuro-tech capable of restoring even the most damaged of minds. If it didn't she would finally lay him to rest.
10th October 2007
The Doctors were concerned, William's heartrate has increased dramatically during the procedure and was in danger of stopping... which it did.
Several minutes passed for what was the longest of Elizabeth's life as William's heart had stopped. Several minutes passed and nothing happened. The Cheif Surgeon was about to call it when...
*beep*
They all turned at the same time as the machine let out a single indication that this man wasn't dead yet but it flatlined again...
*beep*beep*
The machine started beeping erratically and they began CPR to try and steady his rhythm.
Elizabeth was confused, elated and scared all at once. She was pushed aside as the medics continued to work on her husband until as one of them decided to start pushing down, William's hand grabbed his arm. The beat steadied and the arm was released...
William was wheeled into suite 15 where he had spent the last few years in the care of the facility. The Doctor explained something about a 'reflex action' and that was why he had reached out during the turbulant part of the procedure.
20th October 2007
The orderley attended the bits and pieces in suite 15 while the nurse checked on William's vitals. His heart-rate was fine as was his blood pressure...
...William's eyes started to stir; the nurse and orderley left together whilst he was reliving the moments up to being put into this coma... the Rikti attack, his employees fleeing the building, the beams collapsing and finally black when he had been struck down and trapped...
He opened his eyes and looked round the room in a haze of confusion trying desperately to comprehend what had happened. He slipped sideways out of the bed and planted his bare feet on the cold floor. He wobbled and swayed as he took to his feet, grasping the bed for a moment as he stood upright. The cable attached to him was yanked from its socket setting off an alarm but he simply looked out at the world around him.
The door burst open; the resident looked at the standing 'comatose' patient in almost complete shock. He stopped the code team and pointed to the man standing in the room
"Where am I?"
"Call Mrs Benedict immediately." He ventured in, approaching William and asked "Do you know who you are?"
"William Arnold Benedict, you buffoon. Are you going to keep asking questions in answer to my questions or will you give me some details on some things eventually?"
"Well I'd prefer that you sit down first, this may take a while" -

Myself and Augury have been planning a couple of character concepts for a duo when Issue 11 hits, but I'm likely to be the one actively roleplaying (whereas she PvEs about a billion times longer than me, yet still keeps stealing my Influence and recipes all the same). BUT THAT'S IRRELEVANT. My point is both characters revolve around an alternate timeline where the Allies lost the Second World War, allowing the You-Know-Who party to secure victory and move onto a world run under their banner.
[/ QUOTE ]I think that's already part of the CoX history. Reichsman walked under the flag of the Axis America universe and tried to invade but was beaten back by the Freedom Phalanx.
So if anything you're actually staying true to the game's history.

Just be prepared to apologise a lot OOC, and have a lot of IC opposition
[/ QUOTE ]I think that sums it up well enough.
No doubt they must still have some opposition, perhaps even the same opposition... -
Dark/Stone
It was a wierd combo I tried out on Infinity one night and it rocks (no pun intended). Cleared Mercy in one night. Dark Melee provides a lot of -acc and the stone armour provides a lot of +def in the early levels.
It's also quite fun as dark seems to have some fairly quick recharge and despite the -acc of your foes the fury builds quite fast too. -
I have a project in the works and I'm looking for a little help. I need some builds (plural).
I'm trying to create a set of builds (there is a RP reason behind it) that all use the primary Fire Control but have different secondaries. I want to have a full set using all the currently available secondaries but for the most part I'm stumped. I have a general idea on how they might work but haven't played anything besides Fire/Kinetics.
So if any experienced fire/* players can provide some builds it would certainly help me out especially as I've started a fire/sonic for this. Preferably non set-bonus builds, mainly PvE but not exclusively so. -

I know I didn't get the memo... but that's one memo I'd love to read!
[/ QUOTE ] Listen to the "Audio Book" instead (about a third of the way in Posi himself says he's getting a team in to help get them up and running) -
[ QUOTE ]
Thanks, but it's none of these things.
I made another workshop elsewhere, totally bare and it let's me place it there.
If there are no more ideas, looks like I'm redecorating from scratch!
[/ QUOTE ]Perhaps you have already got another item which is classified as a storage item in the room already? I have wondered why I couldn't place some things and it turned out that I had already placed the maximum number of that type e.g. trying to place the invention salvage safe door when I already had a salvage rack in a one storage item 2x1 workshop. Use the "Current Items" to check the <info> on all the items in the room. -
Mastermind Academy - MM-only group, originally a school for MMs
The Gang - a Thugs-only MM group with Mafia overtones run by our resident Pious.
I've got a couple planned for post-Issue 11 but it might go down to just one since time would be a factor. -
[ QUOTE ]
we all hoping that, that why alot of people been abit upset there been no base loving in the last issue or the one comming up
[/ QUOTE ]You obviously didn't get the memo then. The bases are going to have a dedicated team working to get them up and running thanks mainly to this new IP appropriation from NCSoft. It was a Positron address (and another where he mentioned that the buck now stops with him instead of Jack 'Statesman' Emmert). -
[ QUOTE ]
RV is a great zone, but it could be better
[/ QUOTE ]That is both an over- and under-statement.
But then we get into the whole PvP-AT-PvE arguement which ends up looping into circles. Short of it, yes it's a PvP zone so you can't complain about being attacked (I've never typed it onto Broadcast either).
Back to the topic:
I agree that it could be better, especially with the introduction of PvE heavies thanks to the RWZ instead of Longbow's equally good PvP-zone version (One good mothership raid gets you enough merits to grab a power core and they only take an hour or so compared to a seemingly endless farm of pillboxes between hero and villain control). The prize for winning control of the zone is nullified by the fact that you actually need to either be fast enough or co-operate with hero/villain counterparts to get enough points to grab the prize and win AND that in five minutes it resets to neutral anyway so what's the pont in trying again.
My solution would be to make the zone-control perma-temp until the opposing side regained/neutralised control OR have some kind of invasion-like event occur as a result of villains or heroes winning the battle e.g. villains win, Arachnos invades Peregrine Island; heroes win, Longbow invades Grandville, something like that anyway.
I think the worst thing is probably a reduced populous. If more people were in the zones it might be more suitable but it hasn't had quite the same impact and the trash-talking that goes on is enough to put me off. There are some ATs that can effectively solo PvP and a lot that can't. I don't want to have to change my entire power listing just so I might have one or two more victories and I can't always find a team at the hours I play.
I can actually count the vitories I've had solo on one hand and they were both against squishy ATs (would've been a Brute as well if his Corruptor friend hadn't raced in to help and even then I was only winning be cause TK was dropping his toggles and the heavy was blasting him for all it was worth).
I jsut don't feel inclined to participate unless I can win and even then I just feel crappy about it. I got particularly angry at one /rad Corruptor that attacked me and I started running but then turned on and smashed him into the ground. It was a hollow victory because I just picked on the 'squishy' (which was why I started attacking the aforementioned Brute next time I was attacked).
It's also the zone where the balance is at its most even. Heroes have their epics, villains have their patrons; we've all played enough that we know how our powers work and what our toons are capable of.
A better question is to ask - What's right with RV? It's a zone where the zone event is out in the open, where victory for one side means more prestige from defeating opposing PCs and where squishy ATs can get a support vehicle that can do most of the work for them (guilty of that myself), victory in the zone event is nullified after five minutes and the temp power can only be obtaining from active PvP participation or co-operating with your enemy (which I found far more appealing as did they). -
It would actually be very inefficient if the universe could be so easily destroyed and that's why I don't believe that time-travel is as detremental as people make out.
I subscribe to the Babylon 5 method (also the Twelve Monkeys method) - everything happens, did, will and always has happened that way and nothing can change it. Going back intot he past means you become the past influencing the future so that you end up going back into the past. A cycle much like the rest of nature. -

We are a fairly new SG and the loss of so much salvage hurt the SG.

and if you're a hero group on Union, I'd be happy to help you out too
[/ QUOTE ]Ditto if you're a union villain group
Seabreeze[ QUOTE ]
I would like to know from other SG leaders if this has happen to them and what they have done?
[/ QUOTE ]Never happened to me yet but I take the precaution of refining salvage into it's various materials, power, foci or essense and keeeping a selection on my main for the group. That way even if the salvage in the rack is all taken I still have enough material to cover the loss if expansion is the way forward. -

There is actually a "mothership raid channel" that you can search for that has news and chat regarding raids, there is a schedule for every sunday on there at the moment, would think ongoing with I11 there will be raids so people can earn the vanguard merits needed for the vanguard weapons

[ QUOTE ]
Well in regards to the security system I personally assume that diseases and any form of nanotechnology isn't affected. If that was the case then most invasive forms of nanotech would cease to function which would most likely kill a number of technology heroes and villains.
[/ QUOTE ]The way I was led to understand it was that DJ Zero prevents anyhing bad unless people consent to it or ask his permission (with all involved parties of course).
[ QUOTE ]
Its only being spread when someone from the legion is serving at the bar. And if you really don't want to be infected just walk by an electromagnet or expose yourself to a strong electrical field or EMP.
[/ QUOTE ]I'll just ignore it if I see it happeneing then.
[ QUOTE ]
One of the main reasons I decided to roll with this is because its always annoyed me seeing people who play characters who cannot be affected by anything in the enviroment around them. Having to respond to something beyond their control is not something they ever do. So it will be interesting to see how they respond to not being in control.
[/ QUOTE ]So your answer is to involve the entire Pocket D drinking community in a plot even though they might not be one of those 'unaffected' types.
Also if they don't get affected by anything (their choice); chances are they won't be affected by this either OR they'll find out and report it to DJ Zero so it's stopped in its tracks.
[ QUOTE ]
And yes there is an overarching scheme to GLEEs activities in this. We will be selling a cure at some stage in the near future.
[/ QUOTE ]What cure? It's a non-lethal plague that goes inert in two weeks. And since its nanotech an EMP is a decent enough 'cure'.
=======
I can see why this has been sitting round for a while. It just doesn't seem right in its instigation and now is merely a way to get back at people (who might not even read the forums) just because they can't be affected by anything around them in the D.
A better way would've been to get a few volunteers to partake first rather than NPC cannon-fodder and expecting the RPs to simply be part of this. -
Birth of Evil Part Eight: The Chase
November 5th - Johnny Sonata's Personal Hell
Sitania and her crew were trying to fight off a hoarde of Wailer's protecting Johnny's soul. Despite Johnny wanting it back; his soul wanted to stay under some deluded self-righteous desire to preserve itself and it was making Sitania's job of retrieving it much more difficult. The wailers, previously taunting the soul, were now aiding his fight. Johnny's Soul stood proud as they faught this intruder together, leaving her at the point of defeat.
"Listen, baby. You wanna take me? It'll be over my cold, dead body"
Sitania stood up and reached for her gun
"Fine"
Pointing it directly at Johnny's soul she fired several shots into his 'body' and they each pierced him, tearing away the surrounding spirit until he collapsed and faded away. The rest of the wailers, with nothing left to guard, vanished leaving Sitania and her crew in Johnny's personal hell.
"Let's get out of here"
They headed for the doorway they had entered and returned to St. Martial.
November 6th - The Mastermind Academy, Port Oakes
A few hours past midnight and Johnny's surprisingly happy state at having his soul killed. Aside from the money, he had given her a signed glossy of his face. The image was rather old and ragged but only Sitania could see it. The boys were laughing and joking about being 'inside' Johnny, coupled with bad homosexually-oriented jokes and double-entendres. They made their way to the front door and Andrew opened them wide.
The next moment, things went silent for Sitania. Andrew took a shotgun blast to the chest and was hurled back. The rest took defensive positions around the door and fired their own shots into the seemingly empty hallway. Outside, a couple of expensive cars pulled up and several men in smart suits stepped out bearing various firearms. The Magus words began to echo in her mind... Run! She unfurled her wings and the shadow fell over her boys and they disappeared into the early morning-night darkness. One of the men pulled a strange, archaic looking device out of his pocket.
"I know where she's going. Back to the cars"
The group got back into their vehicles and drove off, leaving the Andrew's body in the street where it had fallen.
November 6th - Golden Giza, St. Martial
Sitania and her crew had managed to reach the road outside the front doors of the Golden Giza but were pinned down near Arbiter Hayes spot.
"How is it they can still be following us?"
Anthony was already angry at them for killing his friend and using a weapon to shoot them seemed dishonourable. He still managed to hit a couple of them but more seemed to take their place.
"We'll take cover in there"
Sitania gestured to the Giza and the rest of them understood but as they tried to move out, they were shot at and thus trapped.
"We can't move, boss."
"We're pinned down.."
".. Stuck here.."
"..Trapped"
The twins were always calm, even when faced with insurmountable odds. They tried several times to lay down cover fire but recieved an equal amount in return. Then their pursuers scattered as another car was throw into one the expensive vehicles they were travelling in, mashing them together, shattering their windows and rupturing their fuel tanks. Crystie had followed them to St. Martial.
"What would you do without me?"
With a wink and a smile from Crystie, Sitania engulfed them all in her Shadow Fall and they moved quickly to the front doors, climbing the steps to the Giza. Damien had other ideas. As he reached the middle step he lit s molotov of his own creation and aimed for the gasoline spreading from the managled heap of cars. With a single throw he hit his target and the fuel ingited. With a cheer of success he suddenly jerked as a bullet pierced his gut and another, piercing his shoulder sent him crashing into the cold stone steps. Sitania screamed out, Anthony picked her up as Crystie dealt with the security guards at the front door by throwing them aside. She pushed the doors away, smashing the glass and they headed inside.
Outside, one of the men pulled out a walkie-talkie and spoke a few quiet words of sealing off the north quadrant but leaving the east passage open as he gestured to several of his men to follow him while the rest stepped past Damien's body.
"Hey boyos. El Diablo says 'Hi'!"
Damien, barely alive pulled out a grenade of his own design with the words 'El Diablo' written on it. He released his first finger and a metal shard pinged off it, making the suits dive for cover as the grenade exploded.
Inside the building, Sitania had collapsed behind one of the tables Anthony had tipped over in sheer disbelief at what had happened. The moments started to blurr as more of their pursuers followed them in, a shoot-out in the casino sending the patrons running for cover. Only a sharp slap across her face brought her back. She picked up her guns and blasted at them. Martin, Nathna and Crystie decided to follow the traffic of people that had headed out the east door while Markus, Anthony and Sitania held them off inside. One of the attackers fired a dart into Sitanias wing and it went completely numb, drooping over her shoulder.
"Ow, what the hell?"
Anthony reached over and pulled it out, licking the tip as he did. A look of shock and disgust went over Markus and Sitania.
"Tastes like grenadines"
"Are you a complete idiot? You don't even know what that is!"
"Relax, Markus. It's just some kind of herby... went to Paris"
Markus and Sitania looked at each other. Anthony smiled and then passed out, face-first into the floor.
"Oh, he did NOT just pass out on us"
At the East exit, the other trio had found it completely clear until they turned the corner where several fo their foes had gathered. They fired on them, Crystie raised her rock armour around her but the twins caught several bullets and dropped to the floor. Crystie stared visciously into the eyes of the most confident of her attackers.
"Come on then, baldy. Let's go"
Crystie ran forward and took a large swipe at the leader but her hand stopped as he raised his. He gestured his hand as if to lift a feather on his fingers and Crystie felt a pain in her chest as she was raised off the floor. He motioned her around so her back was to the open doorway leading outside. With a smirk he gestured to push her away and she flew back fast towards the wall at the Giza's edge, cracking over it and falling into the shallow waters below with a tremendous splash. His composure restored he continued inside.
Sitania tried desparately to wake up Anthony but he had recieved enough sedative to make him sleep through her. Markus tried to pull her away but she wouldn't let go. He left her to follow Crystie and the twins out the east passage only to run into the leader and get a bullet in his shoulder, sending him crashing against the wall. Sitania kissed Anthony goodbye as she stepped out, firing wildly at her pursuers at the front door. She turned to run but was faced with the leader right in front of her. Three, light shots were heard between them and she looked down to see th darts in her stomach. She staggered back, dropping both her guns, levying herself on one fo the undamaged tables, trying to remain standing. He shot her again and again.. in the leg.. the arm... eventually her body gave in to the toxins flooding her body and she collapsed, knocking a tray of money chips over herself.
"Bennie, front and centre"
One of the pursuers from the front door came rushing over.
"It was your job to make sure she didn't get on the ferry at Cap AuDiable."
"I'm sorry but she got round... hurk"
He was interrupted by a dart into his chest and he quickly dropped to the floor.
"Be glad it's only a tranquiliser. You two; take him to sleep that off. Vincent; gimme your cell..."
One of his henchmen passed his cellphone to his boss who dialled a few numbers.
"Hey, Jack, it's me.... I'm doing good, you? ... Listen I need you to get me a clean-up crew down to the Giza, asap... no, no, not those guys for once...alright, I owe ya' one"
He clicked it off and dialed another number and started talking, arguing and eventually smiling as he delivered the good news to the person on the other end... 'the Hybrid was captured'.
November 7th - Mystical Prison, Oranbega
Sitania awoke to find herself in a strange position; chained to a table and being painted by a strange looking mystic. Despite her being naked he was focused entirely on finishing his task. She tried to move but her body was still numb and unresponsive.
"The demon's bane doesn't wear off as quickly as the tranquiliser. You will be immobile for several more days it seems. And to answer your question that you cannot ask; I am preparing you for the ceremony. It is important that you be prepared. We must harness your energies as efficiently as possible."
As he continued only two things were going through Sitania's head - one, how the heck was she going to get out of this and two, that this guy must've been an accountant before he was turned into one of them. While it would normally make her laugh, she was so very afraid at what might happen next. This was the first time she felt truly alone... -
What Lord_Sakey said. Base stays active but you can't build anything.
Having been IN negative prestige (both actual and glitchy), the base remains functional as long as one person logs on to keep the group going within a month and even then, it's a 24 hour reactivation for the functionality. -
Birth of Evil Part Five : The Hybrid
Deep inside a cave where the Circle resides. Sitania and her lackeys have punched, slammed, shot and blasted their way deep into the remains of the Oranbegan City. While the henchmen finish off the last of the Thorn mystics, Sitania searches for Johnny's contract. Despite finding it quickly, she spied a nice looking amulet amongst the magic items and examined it, placing it on her neck and seeing how it looked in one of the slightly cracked mirrors. One of the Guardians woke from his unconciousness, still collapsed against the wall...
"Your time is almost at hand"
Sitania looked at this pathtic remnant of a human being and smirked.
"Coming from the guy who got his [censored] kicked... well, you haven't got a leg to stand on, have you?"
"You still have no idea of your true power, Sitania Matriarch"
A look of shock washed over Sitania's face. The look quickly changed to one of quiet anger. She pulled her Akimbo pistol out and pointed it at the Guardian.
"Not that you'll be around to see it"
A single shot was fired to the Guardian's skull, the wall was decorated in dark crimson and concern began to wash over Sitania; this was the fifth group of Thorns that had said something about her 'destiny'. Maybe they weren't just screwing around with her mind. Maybe they did have a plan. She would need to consult with a friend... well, an ally at least and she just so happened to have saved a particular magus and a million other Mu descendents from certain death; Magus Mu'Drakhan
Nerva Archipelago, Thorn Isle
Sitania's journey had been uneventful. So here she was standing by the Magus although he was more interested in the Circle performing their rituals below. His attention shifted as she got closer and to her; he seemed to be smiling.
"It happened again..."
He moved close to her and stared down at her hands which she instinctively turned over so he could see her palms. He glances at them and moves back quickly, Sitania looking slightly confused by his action.
"Run, child. Run as fast as you can!"
"Why? What do you see?"
"RUN!"
The Magus summoned his power and blasted her. Stunned by the energy, blinded; she opened her eyes to find herself outside the Black Heart Memorial Hospital in Nerva. Dumbstruck by his unusual behaviour she shrugged it off and headed back to the ferry. Home was calling, another night to sleep off a busy day. Tomorrow, she would take Johnny's contract back to him so he could find out what kind of bargin had been struck.
As she boarded the ferry; little did she realise that a pair of eyes was watching her... -
Birth of Evil Part Four : The Foreshadow
An apartment in King's Row. Katrianna stirred as she slept. Fighting the gangs in Kings had been tough but not impossible. Strangely, she continued to have nightmares mostly involving her slaughtering her foes without mercy; all of them ending with her standing proud above a sea of bodies. She let out a scream as the latest woke her.
For a moment she panicked, breathing fast and heavily. As the nightmare faded she looked to the window and the street lights shining in. She stepped out of bed, put on a large, unfitting t-shirt and walked over to the window, poking her fingers between the blinds and looking out at the quiet street. She stepped back, thinking to herself about how idiotic it was that they were actually bothering her, frightening her to her very soul. Even the consideration was enough to send a shiver down her spine. Then another need came to her attention: she was thirsty. The pizza for dinner had been over-laden with anchovies, her mouth was dry and she needed a drink. Since the bathroom was much closer, water was the quickest solution.
The tap filled the glass as Katrianna stared at her reflection. She looked down into the glass and took a swig. After downing the glass she looked into the mirror again and, in shock, dropped the glass which shattered as it hit the floor. Instead of her reflection, someone was staring at her and she looked very angry.
"Look at you" The reflection spoke and Kat's eyes widened. "Poor little girl having nightmares about the horrors of the world. You don't even realise what they mean, do you?"
"I don't wanna know" Kat tried not to sound like a child but in her disbelief, she sounded very much so. "Just go away" Dr Johnson had told her that using powerful commands helps to dispell your own fears. The woman in the mirror laughed loudly and beckoned Kat to come closer.
"You wanna know something?" Kat moved towards the mirror, her eyes remaining focused on this 'character'. Two arms reached out and took her by the throat. She tried to scream but to no avail. The mirror-woman had her in her grasp and emerged from the surface of the mirror "You.. will... DIE!!" Kat screamed out loud as the figure continued to throttle her...
Kat awoke with a loud scream, terrifying a male nurse carrying a tray beside her. He dropped the tray, the contents rattling and rolling across the floor
"Jesus Christ" He cursed, grabbing on to the curtain behind him. Katrianna looked round and saw she was in a hospital. She flopped back onto the pillow thinking 'great, nightmares within' nightmares now'. It was the last time she faced the Circle alone. -

What if a catgirl got pregnant?
I got chatting with an artist friend of mine earlier today, and we were discussing catgirls, and my character Miss Ellie (Tiger White). The chat wandered along to pregnancy and that real cats tend to have litters rather than a single kitten.
[/ QUOTE ]Most common 'theory' (read: guess) is that it would depend on the overall genetic mix as well as the internal setup. The more cat-like, the greater the chance of a litter as opposed to a single cub

Birth of Evil Part Three : The Oblivious One
Sitania relaxed into the hot bathwater. Scorching hot for most, heaven for her. The wide, bath was enough for her to stretch her wings along the edges without sitting on them. The last few days had been a chore. Almost convinced of being a Nemesis robot and visiting the Shadow Shards with Technician Naylor, Battling Infernal twice and capturing the his mother Lilithu on command of Magus Mu'Drakhan, returning to the Shadow Shards to capture Akarist for Johnny Sonata and despite having stolen Crey tech, Kelly Uqua had employed her services to steal for Crey Industries. Life was pretty good except for one little niggle - the Circle.
Over the past few days, her encounters with the Circle had gone from the usual 'take my body, please' to something slightly more creepy... they were deliberately going after her. Even Akarist looked at her before they parted and said "I'm sorry". She wondered what he was sorry for? Had he seen a vision of her immediate fate, a time not too far into the future or was he simply screwing around with her in his own way, knowing that the Circle's behaviour had shifted somewhat. Well she wasn't going to worry. Her dark powers had protected her this far and they could barely get to her. She began to drift off, her head supported in an inflatable headrest to stop her sinking into the bath but her eyes shot open as she heard a loud whallop followed by an "Ow, you [censored]". She stepped out and through the sliding door into the rest of her home known as the Mastermind Academy neglecting to pick up a towel on her way out.
Crystie was Sitania's older sister, only recently discovered in the arms of her strongest henchman, her bruiser, Anthony. Sitania didn't mind sharing the boys with her and the eight of them got along pretty well. Despite being smaller than Sitania, Crystie was about 25 times stronger than her and the loud noise was Anthony landing butt-first onto the hard, wooden floor panels. The twins, Nathan and Martin Reese were away at their own place, leaving the two thugs, Markus, Andrew and pyromaniac Damien playing a bizarre combination of football, wrestling and tag, Anthony having caught the ball last. Sitania made her way from her office to the lounge.
"What the hell is going on in here?" Sitania's loud voice caught the attention of all the guys and her naked body held it. Markus managed to catch the ball they were throwing and simply stared at her till Crystie slammed into his gut sending them both over the sofa. Picking herself up and leaving Markus collapsed, she elated into the air
"Score!" Markus let out a cry of pain from behind the sofa, trying to lift himself up onto one of the leather seats, ending up sprawled across several.
