Happy Birthday - may all your cakes be enormous!
[/ QUOTE ]Funnily enough I just received a large Gateau...
... it's delicious and moist too -
What's been your best team experience? We've all had at least one. Something happens, you team up and enemies fall, no matter who they are. You and the team just plough through everything like a hot knife through butter.
My most recent synergy was upon starting out with my new spines/dark scrapper. I joined a sewer team figuring I could get at least five levels out of it. So we began, cutting through the Hellions fairly easily and then moving to the fabled 'room of death' as I call it with the Vahzilok Eidolons. Wasted. Then we figure we should go deeper and the next wipe we all leave so we proceed, deeper and deeper, passing the Vahz and onto the Lost. While we dropped one or two, we survived and proceeded further and further until we were almost to the center so we set a goal to make it to the nearest exit and we did - Skyway City. We said 'hi' to Synapse and Mynx and then logged out, most of us around lv8. Best start ever.
What's been your synergy? -

My higher level chars craft a lot of their found recipes and put the IOs in our SG storage bins (small SG with a couple free for all IO-bins, a free for all HO-bin and an extra bin for "reserved" stuff).
But I very rarely craft a IO on one char with the sole pupose to slot it on an alt.
[/ QUOTE ]I'm the opposite but just with common IOs. I work on what they need, craft it on my main and then drop it in a bin for my alt to pick up.
I also tend to drop a million on my alts whenever I can just to give them a boost. -
I have my evil twin who sees the unionverse as a playground. He's already dominated his own world and would love the idea of manipulating people into political takeovers just because he could. He's already walking amongst the people too.
So what're you after, really? -

I liked GM_Charles...

I'd have loved that tank.
[/ QUOTE ]Ah yes, the lovely unrestricted accounts. Wish I had one of those myself. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'd just say a huge thanks to GM_Darren
[/ QUOTE ]While mine wasn't as prompt, he did help move my MM when she was suffering a terminal zone bug.
GM_Raoul is also very knowledgable, entertaining every query I had about costume parts. -
Dang, can't make it for Friday, least not at 8

Then we shall fight zombies while wearing pink
[/ QUOTE ]You had me at 'outfit' -
Since I keep missing this every year (and might do again) I wanna know:
Who's going pink this year?
October 31st is Breast Cancer awareness day (in the UK at least, it seems) so who's dressing their avatar accordingly? -
[ QUOTE ]
Maybe its because I have more important things on my mind, like Damsel and her pregnancy, which is going great by-the-way, baby is almost here.
[/ QUOTE ]That'll do it. Nothing can compete with your first-born, not even City. Even a migration won't stop that. It'd be a shame to see you go in any case, had some fun times with the Gang and the Kin twins.
I think what Rapier is missing (and someone hit on it in the GGOOC channel) is a purpose, a driving principal that guides them. Currently it's Longstaff owned, security force and before that a US sponsored military outfit which is good but they need an enemy or rival to fight (GGOOC suggestion was a team-mate who wanted Rikti-spanking). So the two groups could be some kind of civil defense program, one of which is to help fight off Rikti but they just happen to be able to take out other threats too (although several threats are Rikti in origin anyway like the Hydra and Lost).
I might see if some of my main's groups have alts they'd like to try out for these groups, since they've got the TF thing going for them -
'Outer' Space, several miles above the Sahara desert
The emptiness is disturbed by a passing satellite which is knocked off course by an invisible object. A shimmer of energy reveals another, larger satellite which extends outward into a cannon shape. A light starts to build up when a sudden spark shoots a stream of white hot plasma down towards the surface of the earth in a constant jet...
Sahara Desert
The plasma stream impacts the sand with loud roar, throwing some up into the air but glassing the impact zone as it starts to travel across the sandscape
'Outer' Space, several miles above the Sahara desert
The satellite drifts off target as it starts to burn brightly before exploding signaling an end to it's plasma stream, casting it components outwards.
((Anyone within 1000 miles of the Sahara would've seen this ray of light 'beam' down and anyone closer would've felt its effects like an earthquake. Most of the components would burn up in the atmosphere but a couple would survive showing enough to leave panels with this on them, the emblem of The Benedict Trust )) -
It's still a player question BUT the rep for the TF is based off the leader's rep only so even if the other 7 are on invincible and the leader is on heroic, the TF will be set to heroic.
It is changable but again, leader rep is the only one considered -

With attempting to add a room beside a decorated room for on a few different occassions, I decided to clear the tile I wanted to the 'door' to be attached, but of the editor wanted it on the tile beside that. So I clear that one too, and it STILL won't let me add the room. Something about not being able to get to it or something.
Maybe I should open up the opening in the mock wall I use...
Rant aside, a base editer that is not as fiddly as a <self censored> would be nice.
[/ QUOTE ]That would be the safe paths for base raiding. You have to be able to reach any targetable objects within one avatar width which means certain items 'block' this route
[ QUOTE ]
[edit]And an undo button would also be nice, so you can put it back the way it was before you were trying to do things it won't let you...
[/ QUOTE ]Yes, I would have loved that when I got fed up with moving stuff round in a 12x16 plot. I started, gave up part way and had to persevere for another 3 hours to make sure that the rest of the group came back to a semi-functional base at least. I was so tired that I couldn't even savour the moment before passing out. -
One forum, good idea. You can have sub-sections for each group and then stuff which is free to all ((like RP conflicts and such))
Merrow with a cattle prod... hmmm.
Keep the Rapier channel since it's the origin group
Definitely work on getting new peeps in.
Okay, that answers your questions/intentions and now for my reasons:
One reason I lost interest was that Pious disappeared. I had a couple of stories planned for him to be in and a possible future arc that we could all partake in but him 'dying' kinda screwed the pooch a bit. I'm getting it back on track and trying to merge it with something else (another dilapidated plot).
Other stuff that held me back was my PC AND laptop dying on me almost together. The only subsitute was a program for Mac that occasionally crashed on me. So I couldn't even dual-box my Rapier alt with my 50 firekin.
Issue 12 also brought slots and while my PB was created for the group I got distracted by creating even more alts (firekin on my main account, spines/dark cause I heard good things about them, main toon crossover alts, VEATs) and I found the joys of GG RP more rewarding, meeting with the regulars, getting involved a little more socailly.
So I've got some time off soon and I'll try and get on my PB a little more now my PC is back up and running. -
Go for it, I've made a few tie-in articles to my characters, it helps expand the universe if anyone decides to use it.

Hi everyone,
So, this is a general call for ideas / suggestions for Quality of Life improvements to the game. What sorts of things would make your life easier while playing CoH?
This thread is for smaller suggestions (eg the extra power trays added recently) and not entire new features.
So ... suggest away!
[/ QUOTE ]Costume creator codes.
Ie. a way to save your character's outfit and scaling so that if you completely screw up the scales or want to reset or make simple adjustments to an outfit you can always reload the code after the changes have been made.
It could also save the height (since that can't be adjusted in the tailor anyway) and body scales as well as the codes for each costume part.
The code itself would just be a set of numbers that associates with the various costume parts and could only be used with the costume creator or Icon screens -

We can still repeatedly demand it though, can't we?
Power customization is just about the top request from players, I'd say - so if there's any way of doing it, I'm sure the devs will try.
[/ QUOTE ]I saw one post from a redname (Castle or BaB) that basically stated that it can be done but if they were to do it, it would be the only thing they would do for the next X amount of months meaning no new content or bug fixes (not counting any bugs that might arise from the customisation work itself).
So it's doable but extremely time-consuming -
[ QUOTE ]
A lady would never tell that!
Oh, hang on... 44, going on 10.
[/ QUOTE ]Happy birthday anyways -

3 accounts
17 toons on one
12 on second
10 on third
I guess I am gaining a lot through this
[/ QUOTE ]Small fry compared to mine. 19, 15 and 12 (and that's just union)
For me it will mean my inactive toons can gain something while I'm busy levelling my latest toon or if I do extended roleplay sessions that draw me away from missions and such, I can still get something. -

[ QUOTE ]
And if we can do things/ create missions that are superior to the type that we currently recieve, then why the heck arent the devs serving them up to us already?
[/ QUOTE ]
Because they're working on even cooler ones
[/ QUOTE ]Lest we also not forget that the devs have to consider work on all parts of the game not just on the mission content.
Otherwise we'd have had zone revamps every issue too. -
Here I go
Character taking part: Tyger

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]I know it's a bit late but Gratz again, Sapphic -
Tyger is always up for it but the time is usually preventative.

((Welcome back buddy!
Let's just say Big Game might have a new friend to meet in the Rogue Isles soon.))
