Removed Mending Mitochondria from Devouring Earth enemy group.

[/ QUOTE ]Really? Another 'removed' NPC? When is anyone going to get all these guys back (Snake Eggs and Prisoners btw)? Why not simply remove the xp off all the offender NPCs so people won't feel a compelling need to create an entire map of them? And how long till we see high level Family, Maniacs and the next target of farmer abuse removed, never to be seen again?

    [ QUOTE ]
Also lowering the rep timer from 10 minutes to 5 minutes.

[/ QUOTE ]I actually raised my eyebrow on this one. I'm ever so lightly tempted to go into a PvP zone. Not by much but it's a start. All they need is to take the rep decay away and people might actually spend more casual time PvPing instead of rep farming for a week and then making closed maps in the Arena for heal farms.
  2. I would imagine that since the US players don't seem to have an annoucement that it's to make sure the latest patch doesn't break the Vigilance and Zukunft servers.

I do hope that it's the Booster and that the servers will all be working afterwards
  3. I was using the MA button to create a few outfits but constantly going through meaningless power selection made me think of a better way of doing it. With the new booster pack making use of multiple build types and the ability to save costumes it suddenly occured to me that why not simply have an in-game online costume creator? Then I thought the best way would be another day job accolade from existing badges for those that have them already and another for people to get.

    [ QUOTE ]
This power allows remote access to the online costume creator of the AE from any location so you can design a new outfit for that next mission idea or your new outfit for the tailor.

    Requirements:
    Architect | Fashion Designer

    [/ QUOTE ]

It acts like the MA Tablet but provides access to the costume creator instead. Perhaps even access to the MA version for custom characters outfits as well.

    Maintenance...

1o inf for the first person to spot the chanage on the logo screen :P

[/ QUOTE ] Ahem (made payable to Tyger please ).
  5. So i15 is going live next week then? Good to know.
  6. [ QUOTE ]
Place your bets on how many "Hulk" characters are going to be made when this goes live

[/ QUOTE ]Pfft, I'll be making my werewolf into a complete individual now.

I was wondering what I'd do with all those redundant costume slots... and now I don't have to.

Also: who noticed the new Paragon Studios logo on the loading screen?
  7. [ QUOTE ]
So, how much prestige am I looking at needing to be able to make a base that can hold say 500 salvage and 100 enhancement? Or is that asking too much from a base?

[/ QUOTE ]First part; about 255,000 for the racks alone and then about 460,000 for two workshops capable of holding them. Second; since you only need 17 salvage racks the eighteenth slot from the two workshops can be a single enhancement table but it will set you back 95,000. Finally the rent cost for all that will be 1800 per rota.

So a rough estimate would be about 1 million, give or take a few thousand plus an ongoing rent cost of 1800
  8. Back on topic:

Was on an ITF with my Granite Tanker last night. We skipped up to Romulous and just after his first rez the ambush spawned crying "We must stop them" at which point almost everyone on the team mapserver'd. So they succeeded, briefly
  9. Tyger

    Would you?

I'd say yes to 1,2 & 4 because it's only a game. It would also depend on what I felt like doing with a certain alt. Power-levelling a spines/dark on my other accounts for example. But then I'd also want the Bug Hunter badge so it would be a bit of a tough choice.

3 is easy enough as it is. Just do a few 8-man architect missions and you have enough tickets to buy anything. Risk:reward my [censored]!
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Wait - what warehouse base room? I didn't see anything about that?

[/ QUOTE ]It appeared on certain people's base editing interface. IIRC it was a 4x4 room with the capacity of 24 storage items which as you know is 6 more than is currently allowed on any plot size. It was a bug of some sort but the fact it was there implied it is or will be used at some point.

EDIT - Found the original thread (and it was 25 storage items).
  11. Known issue. If either build has a crab spider power, the backpack will persist.
  12. To clarify:

Regular content, second to last mission from Sister Airlia,
    Polyphemus (Cimeroran Traitor Cyclops) E-B,
Two immobs, Mako Patron:School of Sharks and Wide-Area Web Grenade,
All-ranged moves from Crab Spider Training.

Not the first time it happened on the same contact when I got an earlier mission (with another E-B) and I spent a good deal of time chasing him around the Sybil Temple which has notably steep hills that he didn't have any problem navigating.

I hate encountering E-Bs and yet when I have a go they use any trick to escape combat. Either way I end up faceplanted and frustrated
  13. Aside from being [censored] off at yet another arc having an E-B in it, the damn thing ran away from me as I engaged it in combat.

Now I wouldn't be so irked if it wasn't for the fact that this is about the fifth to seventh time I've faced an E-B that has basically legged it when hit only a few times. I'm sick of it.

If I engage a foe in combat I don't want him running to mommy because he got a boo-boo on his arm. I want him to fight me not feel like I'm doing some parody of Benny Hill (My Veat has five pets so this analogy is particularly apt).

Stop the E-B runs or downgrade them to bosses so they have an ACTUAL reason to run.

As a side-note; the finishing text after I dropped the mission in anger began "That was a fun little dust-up...". No, it really wasn't.
  14. Tyger

    Non-combat pets!

    [ QUOTE ]
As for how to pick them up, not sure on whether they should be taskforce rewards, merit bought, AE bought or what...damn tough choices, glad I'm not a dev that's actually making this happen.

[/ QUOTE ]Badge linking would be the simplest method. Get the badge, gain the pet. It would hopefully ensure those who've done it already get the pet to so they don't feel left out in the cold.

To address the concern of having too many pets; only one active at a time, mutually exclusive to each other.
  15. Well it is a bit of a shame but I never understood why the virtual line of badges even existed except to pad out the badge list. The Mission Architect is a virtual environment in and of itself so how does a virtual testing environment differ from a virtual regular one?

Still there'll be other badges. What gripes me at the moment is:[ QUOTE ]
Q: What about non-Mission Architect badges?

A: We have no current plans to revisit old badges at this time, and I donÂ’t foresee us doing this really. All badges unrelated to the Mission Architect will remain unaffected by the changes outlined above.

[/ QUOTE ]And why the hell shouldn't they be looked at?

I was planning something for the Fusion Generator badge and noticed an in-progress healing SG badge for 100,000,000 points. The number seemed familiar, very familiar and when I looked it up I found exactly why. In the patch notes for December 2nd (Issue 13 release) the Empath badge was reduced to 100,000,000. Now when you consider the solo badge had to be lowered to the same as the SG badge; there's something wrong there. Surely the individual badges should be significantly less since the group badges can potentially be a group effort? Not just the healing one either. The damage and debt badges are also significantly higher for a single character than they are to unlock other SG items.

I agree with others who think the regular badges should get a look at. Most of the end tier badges have rediculous quantities atached to them. Inventions goes from 1,000 for the fourth to 10,000 for the fifth, influence jumps up from 20 mill to 100 mill to 1 billion to 2 billion. There's a few of them could do with being knocked down a peg or two.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
i still trying to get my head around there are some maps that let you put in i think 125 glowies, now if they didn't want to do these types of farms, why the hell did they put that in there??

[/ QUOTE ]The idea is that you don't actually put 125 glowies so that a low number has 'random' positioning. The flooded city Ghostworld version has you looking for one glowie which means 125 possible locations for it.

And as for anyone who complins about badges being their right to have; no it isn't. Aside from your own character profile (which even that is under limited licence) everything in the game; badges, costumes, loot, etc. belongs to NCSoft and you agreee to that every time you play. It's in the EULA.

Not to say I'm not evil-laughing a little at seeing yet another change to the MA 'to make it better'. Now if they would change customiser to an account-wide badge, they'd probably see fewer arcs published and unpublished for the accolade.

    Guess Who?

    [ QUOTE ]
    Yes, I'm back.

[/ QUOTE ] We knew you would be!

What? I'm giving you some stick..
  18. As an extension to this: I'd definitely like the Arachnos parts available, especially for contacts. I just tried to make a contact out of my VEAT Soldier and it couldn't due to his epic parts being unavailable to the MA costume creator. And that was just the backpack.

    So /signed to the above.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
Actually it says it will be Sept.4th in EU. this interview. Although to be honest I don't understand that.

[/ QUOTE ]US games release day is always a Tuesday compared to ours who prefer a Friday release.

    [ QUOTE ]
Though that game was also published by Atari, so maybe it's just them.

[/ QUOTE ]It's a US thing with odd exceptions like Halo 2 which was worldwide Tuesday.

EDIT (for next post) - I took longer in the preview than you
  20. I got two from my VEAT Crab Soldier:

"[NPC] Mercenary: The area is secure. Tell McKnight he's free to come aboard."

... right as I'm shooting the place up with all my pets and killing everything in sight. And:

"[NPC] Kalinda: Gunblade will arrive soon, I have forseen it"

.. as I superspeed past her by less than 2 feet with my 8ft tall character.

    Q. Will it be available for Mac as well as PC upon launch?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    That is the plan. Yes.

[/ QUOTE ]Where did you come from?

    AlsoOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM™ Nah, just kidding

I'm glad to hear that it will be on Mac, espcially as my PCs keep blowing up on me.

She's still here - watching, waiting...

Now that things are on track for the Mission Architect to be purged, ...

[/ QUOTE ]Oh jeese; don't like the sound of that.
  24. Head out the Port Oakes door and the ferry is a short walk south of there. Head in and you'll be back in Mercy
  25. [ QUOTE ]
    hmmm, its a 50/50 likey/hatey, ...

    [/ QUOTE ]Actually it's 70-10-20 No-lunacy-yes.

    No to either suggestion.
