Quote:Okay thenOkay, just got to GF in PI on my 4D to unlock the final store, would it make sense to change the enemies to Praetorians instead of Rikti now GR is out?
Just something that came to me, feel free to shoot it down.
If you read the mission text carefully (the sendoff dialogue) you'll notice he says that the dimension in question is 'one fully invaded by Rikti. GF went via other worlds and happen to notice the Rikti in this one were ready to invade another universe there as well.
He just took the scenic route through that particular universe. -
Quote:Just be glad you didn't say naked and that we couldn't find a bucket. But as Floaty said; fair play to you for being a man of your word (and be glad that winter decided to come earlyAnd so I return home, shame faced and suitable humble, making a mental note never to open my big mouth on the forums again. That said, didn't I say I'd find some way to embarrass the hell out of myself at this meet?
).
Quote:Even so, I am overjoyed to know that there is still a marketing presence in the EU still and feel very reassured by some of the things that were discussed. I can also say that all of the good natured embarrassment was well worth it for the signed copy of the GR Complete Collection.
Quote:So thank you very much to Kallandra, EB and Gangrel for all their hard work and to everyone supporting the event from afar. It was an excellent time and I look forward to the next one.*

Quote:Get each dev to write an arc in the AE or build a story arc around it. I mean Crey Corp partners up with Aeon Corp and no-one cares? Even one story arc has a brief mention of using the data of heroes inside the system to bring them down so why not someone who goes all conspiracy theorist and decides to 'uncover the truth' or something like that.I dunno...just trying to figure out how we could garner more support and excitement for the AE in the general public.
In truth though:
Quote:I know this is a fairly defeatist thing to say but I knew the Devs effectively gave up on significantly caring about the Architect system after they gutted roughly 80 badges from the game related to it. Basically it appears that the Architect system has gone the way of SG base building and raiding.
I'm glad there are still some people out there who care about the Architect system and keep the hope alive. Obviously the Hall of Fame requirements need to change to reflect the current realities of the situation. But at this point I'll be fairly surprised if that ever happens. *shrugs*
But to stay on a positive note:
-Lower the rating as stated. 100 positive plays is more than enough.
-Change the 'rating' system to a three-point; Liked, disliked, neutral.
The five-star system is far too stringent which is why Youtube removed theirs for the simple + and - system
-Moderate the HoF if someone reports it for being a farm and set an automatic 'block' when it gets reported for something 3 times. If it's proven to be an 'actual' story then it gets protected from further grief anyway.
And follow through with it. Moderate, moderate, moderate.
-Give Dev's Choice and Hall of Fame their own tabs and only have 'finished' flagged arcs listed by default.
Old, unflagged arcs are essentially purged from the viewing eyes meaning new and/or completed stuff ends up being seen first -
Pretty much like it says. We have hard limits on friends lists, global and server, as well as the number of people we can invite to a group. Aside from knowing already and manually counting it would be nice to have an at-a-glance indicator of how many we have (and thus have left).

To help with avid badgehunters and those who might miss out; the ability to select safeguard/mayhems AE-TF style based off their level.
The player talks to the Detective/Broker and they provide a list of safe/may available to their level and below. Once they pick one they are locked in using AE-TF tech (to allow invitation of others) to the level of that safe/may ie. Atlas means they would be up to level 10, Kings up to level 15, Skyway to 20, etc. and any qualifying one below would be available. So a level 20 would have Skyway, Kings and Atlas whereas a 50 would have everything from Atlas to Peregrine. -
Also confirmed for me but includes Grandville on top of St. Martial.
I also have the zone limit/Reveal vet power bug. -
Quote:I'd actually seen the Paragon hotel on the Googlemap just because the name was so apt for a City meet.Awesome! Tyger's coming. \o/
We're at the Paragon Hotel for a night. Only £36 for all but distance was the deciding factor because I hate buses, so it's not far from the Net Cafe.
£36 sounds good to me. Oh and for how long are we staying on each day? -
Any recommendations for an overnight stay? Stumbling at a place to camp overnight for day 2

Dimensional portals? Yes please and can we get hazard and temporal portals too.
As Z said; anything, please. AE terminals, invention tables as an aux so they don't take up a valuable workshop slot and we can have a room like the Unis or the abandoned labs. Oh and can we get the remote invention table as an item too....
... this might take a while -
Thugs/dark was a nightmare on x8. They all had the lovely -tohit toggle that strangely only a couple spammed. I managed it solo by focusing on one at a time and dropping gang war at every opportunity. I didn't have the fitness build and eventually beat them all... three hospital trips later.
I also helped a widow out with my own widow while doing x8 and we were blinded pretty much all the time. If it was for our third team-mate, a brute who kept outside the intial smoke grenade range, we'd never have got them down. We did wipe a few times on that one too.
The wierdest fight I've had though has to be the most recent where I took my mind/ff troller. I nearly got beaten so many times because of all the stacked bubbles but one drop of Mass Confusion and suddenly I couldn't be hit at all. It was the longest of the fights I've had so far and certainly the funniest. -
Short answer: option 1. If pressed for choice, I prefer consistency. New is better and I've started using less pre-NCSoft parts in almost all of my outfits.
Long answer: option 1 if things truly looked 'the same'.
Mentioning the tails: I don't use them as often as the new animated ones, no. However as pointed out in the 'Lost costume pieces' thread; somethings do get 'improved' rather than simply revamped like the thigh high boots parts. This is something I'd be against; alterations to the model that detract from it's original feel.
Conversely, I do think that the older pieces do need their textures updated. The 'tanker' top is a perfect example of this. On a male or huge body it is a solid cover, white is white, black is black, etc. On a female body; it looks like they've been in a wet t-shirt competition when you use lighter colours because of some overlay that adds a hint of skin-tone. And then there's the hair pieces. When we got a set of new ones they were done to a more detailed standard and some of the others just look shoddy.
If I had to choose, I'd go with option 1. I'd prefer some of the older parts to go if it meant they got a new updated part to replace it. -
Quote:Or the scientists watching the portal believe in the Azuria method of security. What I find odd is that villains arriving in Sharkhead get a welcoming comittee, but heroes arriving in Paragon don't.
Red-side, you're greeted by an arachnos representative who happily tells you what's going on and where you should go next. I guess Evil is always that much more efficient than Good. ;p
Last night I took Praetorian-Tyger through the portal one side, with the surviving contacts saying goodbye, and into... an empty warehouse.
Portal tech. In a warehouse. Unguarded. And they wonder how Crey, Nemesis and Arachnos gets their hands on it. -

Quote:Alas mine was hampered by the one and only bug that managed to make it past the rigorous testing - the NCSoft store issue. With all my live slots filled bar two I was counting on the free slots available to start a Praetorian. How are other folks enjoying their first day playing Going Rogue?
So instead I started work on my first crossover toon, a widow, and got her halfway Rogue after cleaning out some of her old missions. -
Quote:I know from the slip-out last month or so that the pattern for their legs should be under the 'Pants' Lower Body option and it appears as a pattern. However I just checked and it seems to still be legacy-fied.According to the patch notes, there's a "Syndicate" costume set. I can't find it in the Costume Sets dropdown (I found all the others), and I can't find any individual pieces except the "Dragon" skin for the Baron jacket.
Can anyone help me find the pieces for this set?
EDIT - on the male character I have it's under Pants and the pattern option contains 'Syndicate' just above the 'Swirl' pattern, my female character with it keeps losing it each time I load her outfit. -
Quote:Indeed, a wise man who is helping the game by asking us about what we'd like to see in the city, from legacy costume parts to building architecture. Happy Birthday indeed (and many more). It's David "Noble Savage" Nakayama's birthday today!!

Quote:Never. If I really can't stand a toon then it would be deleted long before then. With the -1 option for missions it's not as bad as it was before either. What about you guys? Who's at the point now where a level 50 character doesn't have special status just because of that, and should they find one they don't like, may actually delete it?
But going back to 'never'; I always try and build a coherant character when I start out so no matter what their 'power' ends up as, whether they do 1-50 in 2 weeks or 2 months (or 2 years like my first), they always have a strong backstory to fall on. So my 50s, all of my 50s have a special status that endures once the game is 'over' for them. -
I'm about two hours away on the train and I have the time off to go. Just need to sort a place to stay. So what kind of hours are we talking about here?
EDIT - and I can also bring my laptop. -
Antonio stared out into the night over Nerva, watching the water slowly rolls up against the sea wall as a small boat passed. His mother, Alicia called him in but her words were muffled.
The sky darkened, the stars vanished and the water slowly burned infront of him as his eyes widened. He turned to see his mother beside him as she drove a dagger into his chest.
"I said it's time to come in"
He tried to scream out but he lacked any voice as the blade rested there. The surroundings dissolved as his scream became louder. He was still in Hell, his own personal hell. The form of his mother had been replaced with that of a demonic golem and his place, chained up in the center was now clear to him as he hung there, lifeless but alive, watching as the beast strolled away....
It had started with fire, a bomb close to his position had been dropped and he had survived its explosion. The warehouse roof was gone but the darkness had fallen as minions of the abyss came for him. He had faught them with his own fire but he wasn't strong enough. Not against so many. Since he arrived here; he'd been subjected to torture after torture, watching his world fall apart over and over again. Hope being crushed utterly.
His eyes remained dry, unable to show the emotion inside him -
All of the above. More base items for everyone!

That's the other reason why I hide. It doesn't help that by default you AREN'T looking for teams and even switching to 'Not looking' I used to get the odd tell. Now I might actually be away from the keyboard too or I play with the sound off so if I miss the tell-tale beep so it's easier to just hide completely as a way of not wasting time or giving the wrong impression because I didn't reply.
-
Quote:I hide from searches because I am doing something on my own, either basing or playing an arc for a story and/or merits. I like playing at my own pace too so I'd rather not try explaining it so I remove myself from searches which cuts out 99% of random tells too. It's easier that way. I did have a few bad experiences with telling people 'No, I don't want to team thanks' which is apparently close to killing kittens for fun to some players.
Why do you (not) hide from searches?
But then I have global channels to watch for teams, mainly badge-related, but it's enough for me. -
