Saying they aren't doesn't make them not new costume pieces. They had to be designed from ground up. They couldn't just "add animation" to what was already there. They are new costume pieces whether you accept it or not. This isn't an opinion up for debate, it's fact. You're wrong. Period.

Tails are costume parts. Weapon customizations are costume parts. And, really, you were saying NONE, not "none that I like"... You keep flipping back and forth from "costume pieces" to "costume sets", too. Make up your mind. And, I repeat, free costume sets were always a rarity. Very much so.

Err, no. It wasn't that simple. They couldn't "just animate the old ones". They had to make an entirely new piece with animation. They just happened to make them look like the old ones for consistency.

Uhhh....ultramode was for a ***LOT*** more than "a few metallic pieces". Ambient occlusion, advanced shadows, environmental reflections, water effects.... Turn them all on and the world really does look a LOT different. Sadly, my computer also cries, but that's not the point.

The problem with "let the parents deal with it" is that has the potential to lead to them "dealing with it" by sicking some parental "watchdog" group on the game...

Not that much to micromanage, really. The click heal is pretty obvious when it should be used. Instant Healing only really needs to be pulled out in exceptionally tough fights. Other than that, it's toggles, auto-powers, and one "OMGWTF!" panic button... The returns overshadow every other powerset. And this is after massive beatings with the nerf-bat.

That said, SR and WP are both very powerful sets as well. SR, when it's on it's ON. When it's off, it's way off. You live and die by the RNG, but, overall, it can be pretty damn awesome. WP is kinda the jack-of-all-trades secondary. Enough of a mix to cover the holes without being too powerful overall.

It appeared the be the usual attempt to argue that the rule doesn't make sense when the profanity filter is optional.

How many tips have you done in the past 24 hours? As the info provided in-game says, you can only get credit for 5 within a 24 hour period. ( Counting backwards. So if you did 4 23 hours ago and 1 23.5 hours ago, you'll have one available credit slot again in half an hour )

You know, one thing that amuses me is the way the topic of this thread seems to make it sound as if the OP is suggesting that there've been three "sides" for a long time.

Beyond that, I'd say that in a comic book setting, more people are prone to want to be the good guys. That seems to differ in fantasy settings, though.

Anyway, on double-xp: I've found it best to never assume there's going to be one. For folks like me, it's wishful thinking. For folks that actually like the server-breaking swarms and farm team spam-fests, it's a nice surprise when they do happen.

The thing is, it's not possible to make a perfect filter. Either it's ridiculously easy to get around or it's going to be catching innocent words. It's also togglable because some people might not mid the occasional profanities among friends/SG-mates, but they still don't want to see the prolific profanity spewed on the public channels. Or they simply don't mind the mild profanities, but they do have an issue with some of the "worse" ones. Then there's the fact that not everyone agrees with the filter's idea of what is profanity. Some profanities are only profanities in certain contexts. ( Some context profanities aren't caught by the filter, even )

And, I'm sorry, but assuming the togglability of the filter overrides what TOS says is just plain stupid. The TOS makes absolutely no mention of the filter. Therefore, the existence of the filter is -OBVIOUSLY- irrelevant as far as the TOS is concerned, whether it's togglable or not.

I've already explained it. Pretend the filter isn't togglable as far as the rules are concerned. That's irrelevant.

I'm not scolding, simply curious. Yes, it's simple to get to 25 quick. But as an experienced player. A newbie who never touched the game before 2 days ago, though? He's skipping a lot of content and will likely burn out on the game quick that way, especially if he's expecting something like WoW-style "endgame"...
